I am mining Phoneum for six months and more, for that time I mined around $2! It's not worth it probably, but they have some games you can play and earn more, and that makes it more interesting then Pi network. I think of these two as similar projects, and probably both will have some medium to low success in the long term.

I was invited to join and mine pi multiple times and was ready to join but then i read a critical article about it which clarified that pi does not operate on blockchain yet and all the pi tokens are kind of IOU tokens that do not exist yet. This crashed my interest and skipped it as i am only looking for solid opportunities now. For your information, Pi is not really a new alt coin like that. I have got to know about it since last year. I downloaded the app and started mining. But when I didn't see any hope of a particular time of withdrawal, I uninstalled the app. It was recently that fresh news began to surface about the mining of Pi again.

Many people do says that Pi Network is a trap and a scam because they require you to submit a KYC before you earn a PI and it will give you a little confusion when reading their whitepaper. But I saw people in online that they use their PIs to trade or make exchange to other people with goods. A lot of people have interest in this PI Network because you can mine a cryptocurrency or PI only with your phone and earn by using your referral code. I am a pioneer here and had at least 20 referrals, but it would still take some time before it gets into the market, the developers who are all graduates of hardvard, are working this project to become huge and it's going to happen because of the kind of distribution they are implementing, no cost and very easy to mine, glad to be part of this project this early.

I have just joined few days back and it looks nothing unique! We already have similar cryptos in the market which can be mined through mobile phone. Example, Electroneum and Phoneum. Both have gone down to drain and has no/little trade volume and value. I have also gone through their whitepaper which says they are coming up with a marketplace where people can spend pi to buy goods and services. If this is becoming a reality, then it's obviously good because then this coin would have some utility! Otherwise, it will also go down to drain like its peers!

I have seen from some of my Facebook friends, some of them shared this project a few days ago, but I haven't looked deeper about the project, I find out they don't seem to have a bounty, it's only available to mine via smart phones, I haven't seen more in this project, the website is not available with their group telegram information, at least I can ask more about this project, the OP should provide more detailed information
As I know it, Pi is the effort of a group of Stanford University alumni to spread the cryptocurrency to more people. But I do not understand the value of this money will be like, when anyone can exploit it easily without spending resources as the project mentioned.
PI Network is something promising project but i think there are no good marketing for this reason a lot of people's still don't know about it. I already mined 1300 PI Coin to install android application but i think android users will hamper because mining apps can be drain your mobile battery. What about their exchanges listing?
There has been some hype about it last couple months after been in the shadows for months ago.
some people just wish it booms like that so they get that big chunk payment selling it since they get it mostly for Free (mining & referring basically).
I personally don't see it as bad, it has a working team, probably it's a matter of it being listed in a decent exchange to be noticed even more in the crtypto communities.

it's not a cool coin and there was a coin that 's much better than pi and that called ETN coin. it's not also a new coin and that's an old coin. what you need to know about that if there was no real use case from pi coin. it's not cool if we are seeing from what was the purpose of the picoin. i have seen a bunch of shillers has promoted this coin in the past.

Yes i use it. The idea of this app (project) is actually to make everyday transactons as simple and useful as they can be (paying with cryptocurrency simply by mobile phone...and the Pi Network app will be used as a wallet)

How did you come to this conclusion? There are thousands of people mining Pi and anyone can come here to promote it without it meaning they are all alt accounts belonging to one person
