Seems that most people here are not doing well in gambling,I've lost only a few when playing dice but I won much more with trading  Grin
Fortunately, I never lost or got stolen any Bitcoins from my wallet cause I am always very careful with my money I use cold storage to keep them safe,I never deal with people who I don't trust,I never visit shady sites and I am always double checking before I send money.
i guess is less a chance to lost due stolen or hacked by hackers mostly occur because of our own fault like I have wrong copy bitcoin addresses when wants to send money to my friends.

i have lost a highest of 0.25btc till now but if i see on total then i have lost upto 2btc till now from the day i started using btc its a huge amount but thats all worth now because those mistakes taught me to stay aways from some stuffs like ponzies and gambling
Yeah you should stAy away from ponzi and gambling. You will lose your money in a blink of an eye. I used to invest in ponzi and got scammed for many times. And then I realized i can never make money by those ponzi scammers. So I decided to work and work with my job to earn bitcoin.

Hard and honest work will always give you good returns no doubt the process would be slow but it will give you sure shot income and earning it slowly is always better then loosing money.
Yeah right if you can stay away in gambling you will not lose anymore instead focus in earnings so that you can save more bitcoins and if you can hold it for a long time you can gain a good profit if you can sell your bitcoin in the right time..

That is a bad sign better to stop since the price is increasing slowly and i think just play that you can afford to lose. ponzi is not working anymore almost all are scam better to stay away from them.. if you have a plan to make a good profit with bitcoin better to collect more bitcoins and stay holding it for a long time and sell them for a right time.

I've lost about 0.02+ (copay wallet. I'd backup, still i cannot recover) + 0.006 (multibit, Don't have backup). Because of HDD failure and another 0.006BTC lost due to a pendrive lost where i kept my backup! That's all i've ever lost.

How, and how much did you manage to lose?

I lost some in gambling, I guess I entered gambling cause I was just curious and it's popular . How much did I lose? Just a little amount, It was just my spare coins and before I entered gambling I have read a lot of threads regarding gambling that's why I'm aware of it's risks. Even now gamble when I'm bored.

Loss is a loss either higher or lower and if you like gambling  then you can spend time and money there as its your own money and you can use it anywhere you want, Good Luck.
Yeah you have your own decision if when you gamble or not..  if you lose make sure that you can afford to lose because gambling is good only for past time and entertainment..

Yeah gambling is good till its limited to have fun but if it becomes and addiction then it will surely wreck your life and even make you bankrupt so be smart and take decision accordingly.

Everybody who did gamble, trade or invest in shady activities like cloud mining for sure have lost bitcoins at least 1 time. The problem is that bitcoin is so (don't know how to say) sexy that it makes you things you don't want to do normally. For example buying a premium porn movie, making a bet, and all this kind of things that makes you lose your coins , some lost are in a good way (when you are buying something, maybe it's not a loss at all) but some lost are really bad , i.e gambling.

I manage to lose almost 2 whole Bitcoin and that day was not a bright day for me because at that point those 2 Bitcoin were worth almost $900.
I lost them because of gambling, you should actually never gamble with your Bitcoin.

I got hacked and also I lost some in the early days when I lost my wallet login, but that was very early on and once in an exchange I lost some to a hacker. That's why it is not good or advisable to have all your btc stored in one place, but that's just my 2 bits!  Smiley

this just shows that even in the early days you should never store coins in an exchange. but still, people don't seem to have learned anything as certain people use exchanges as a long term way of storing coins. that's just stupid. it really makes me think whether or not they know what they are doing. probably not...

Yes, exchange isn't wallet and the online wallets isn't secure too, Bitcoin was created to you be your own bank.
Day by day we see more people doing the same mistakes.
Someone is getting rich.

yes I often lose at gambling and losing in gambling will never recover.

then I lose on trading and it's easy to recover it for me, but it certainly takes time.

I don't think this is what OP meant, losing Bitcoins in gambling is not the same as getting coins stolen or being scammed.
You're prepared to lose when you engage in gambling, at least you should be.

I'm lucky enough to have never been scammed and I've not had any coins on an exchange that went down with all funds.

Yes even I never invested my bitcoin anywhere, in that case I was lucky that I didn't loose anything there but have lost with my own mistakes many times in gambling.
if asked OP is have you ever you lose because your wallet is stolen I would say I never lose with it, I use a lot of authentication to fit in my purse so no one else can access the wallet than me, for the investment scam of course everyone will ever experience it

We all have lost some amount of coins in the past due to our ignorance or greed to make quick money and which resulted in loosing our valuable coins and I think that was an wake up call for all of us.

It's really a normal thing for us to commit mistakes when we are still a newbie into things because our knowledge isn't good enough that's why we are prone more to scams but as you said we learn from this mistakes and these situation was an wake up call on not to do it again. Let's charge it to experience.
