There were times when I usually just don't want to keep money but instead just spend it. I get tired saving, investing, and overall just making money back then. But I realized, money runs everything; it pays for rent, keeps a roof above my head, pays for gas, and food of course. If I were to just stop making money, I would forfeit most of these in an instant and I will be living my life horribly. But yeah, good thing is, I got some motivation that I really needed to get going and here I am still, trying to make as much money as I can for myself and for an early retirement (hopefully).
Doing this over and over again is really exhausting and mentally draining, but once you realize that money becomes part of the needs everything changes. Survival nowadays includes money for everything, the basic human needs requires money and so on, the only thing that isn't paid by money is air/oxygen. It's really nice to have and early retirement and having lots of money from your investment, but the process of achieving that is really long. I also been to the point when I just wanted to quit, but the thing that pushes me is "it's hard to live without money". I have been through ups and downs in life, who else doesn't right? so I'm not worried if I were poor and could eat 3 times a day, but that 3 times a day requires sufficient amount of money in the end. Then I finally decided if I only needed money to survive why not go all the way right?
impossible thing to do when living in a city without money. as said, we just need money to move, and the necessities of life are not just food, there are many others, especially if we are already married and have children. therefore we must be able to work to make money not only for ourselves but we can share it for people who are less fortunate, thus making our lives more meaningful. therefore we must continue to manage our finances and set them aside for investment, so that in the future it will be better

I wonder the purpose of making money can be easily distorted and sometimes we tend to lose ourselves in pursuit of money, instead of happiness. Just a fleeting thought, no big deal.

This depends on how everyone looks at the life and their goals in it, considering that not everyone has the same initial financial situation, as some people come to life from a wealthy family, which could make them look at the money as unnecessary thing because all their needs are met, while other people start from zero and taste the poverty before they build the life they dream about.
To me, money isn't the first thing we should look for in life, I see it as a result of something valuable we provide for society, so knowledge and experience are the first things we should be interested in, and earning money may be the result of leveraging these factors. However, I think we should balance between earning money and enjoying every moment of life, that might never comeback.

Live with peace and enjoy life!
In pursuit of financial freedom we later realize that we are exhausted by too many things that burden us. As they said money makes the world round, and it's true coz nowadays without money, you can no longer survive in this world. We seek money not only  for happiness but for survival, in the end we became tired due to extreme competition that we have to go through to earn money.

Nowadays getting resources such as money to buy our needs is very hard, lots of competition and so many competitors. Not everyone has the same opportunities, but we are all equal on the fact that we are all given the same 24 hours a day. Saying that we are all in the same boat is nonsense, as I've said, not everyone is equal to receive the same opportunities, that is why it's best to utilize what you are good at or what makes you unique. This topic is closely related to getting lost in your way in pursuit of financial freedom, but as long as you keep your feet on the ground while holding your head up, then you will be fine.
Money, whether you accept it or not, is also the reason why we are still alive and actively kicking up to these days. Without money, you will find it hard to stay alive. That’s why people seek a lot of opportunities to earn money and later on tend to forget that life is not all about money. Money is just a single factor, and there are other  factors needed to enjoy and sustain life. But for some people who are eager to earn maximum profits and become financially stable and achieve financial freedom, then they will always struggle and end up seeing themselves tiring and exhausting. But in reality, if you only know how to balance work and pleasure, then you will never have to experience tiredness and being exhausted in pursuit for financial stability and freedom.

To make myself clear, this thread is not about complaint or confusion. Actually, I am more than fulfilled to chase my financial goals. This question only comes when I stop to think about the deep meaning of finance-free. Whether you are young or old, man or woman, money is what keeps you live and live well in the world. Being financial independent and sufficient is everyone's dream. However, have you thought about the losses in exchange for the material gains ? When you barely make ends meet, you'll bust yourself to make more money; when you actually make a lot of money, you'll find yourself in a position that is either stressful or boring. I wonder the purpose of making money can be easily distorted and sometimes we tend to lose ourselves in pursuit of money, instead of happiness. Just a fleeting thought, no big deal.

You definitely need to find a fair balance and a happy medium if you've found the magic ingredients to financial success. You should definitely spend money on important things, like travelling or any hobbies, going for meals out or entertainment like comedy shows. There are some people out there who scrim and scrape every single penny, sometimes at the expense of the people around them, in order to be "financially free", however they then realize they are 45 years old with creaking bones and aching muscles, who no longer have the energy to do all the things they had dreamed of doing with this freedom. You need to live in the moment and explore all the beautiful things life has to offer, which is not all about money.

This has occurred to me many times and still happening even. At times, I felt lost, and disorganized, and made me procrastinate a lot. But at that, I never let it knock me down as I always get back up again. I try not to give up because I have family who depends on me. Crypto has given me more money than my salary or any other investment ever did. So I'm confident that the same crypto would take me to the peak of my goals someday and I will be wealthy.

when you actually make a lot of money, you'll find yourself in a position that is either stressful or boring.
Why so?
Someone who's got a lot of money got a lot of freedom and can do almost everything he'd want because of what he's got. I wouldn't find myself in a boring situation or stressful life when I make a lot of money. I know how to spend it well and I know how to put a part of it into investments.
That's the part which is more fun because you see what you've worked hard for and you don't want any penny of it to be spent that you won't enjoy. Sometimes there could be things that we'd spent on worthless, useless, and nonsense things but that's it. You just have to appreciate what you've got and find a way to spend it wisely.

Unfortunately, freedom and financial independence in modern society are quite ephemeral. For example, at any moment sanctions can be imposed against any country - and the established business can collapse overnight. Any bank can freeze your funds for any reason.

Yes, I have felt that way. In fact I am in that situation presently. Having to work 12 hours everyday at a job I hate with everything in me just because I want to have enough to feed myself, my family and still enough in the bank. I return everyday with one bodily pain or anxiety. If I had the power, if I could I would retire to the suburbs in a lake house where I wouldn't care for anything else in the world other than just enjoying peaceful nature. But then, this is not the case. Just two weeks ago, a colleague slumped and died at work. It didn't take up to two days, he was replaced. I was sick to my stomach because of it. Because we want to be free and financially independent.

This life has a lot of things to care about, not only money, if you have money without other things but you also are not a successful person, we need to balance everything to have a fulfilling life.

But I'm seeing our world going in the wrong direction and being pragmatic, money being put first, and without money, you don't have anything else. Without money, you won't get the attention of your loved ones, you can't maintain family happiness, and without money, you won't have health. Money is taking center stage and your life is good or not depending on how much money you have.
That is true, money is not the "most" important thing, but I disagree with people who keep saying that money doesn't bring happiness for example. Because, I rather be rich and be like this then not rich and exactly who I am today.

I mean think about it, do you think poor people don't have issues? Non money related stuff as well, don't you think they have health issues? Love issues? Child issues? Job issues? They have so many issues in their life AND they are poor, for example I had a loved one passed away last year, or cancer on someone else (thank god she is better) or my own health or million other things. I rather be rich and have the same issues instead of being poor and still have issues anyway. If you offer me NO issues at all and be poor then yes I would prefer that but us poor people have issues too.

To put it bluntly, money can buy everything in today's society, it sounds harsh but I think it's true. I totally agree with what you said, I don't believe that someone living in poverty will have happiness or good health. In today's love, a man without money and power will never be able to compete with a man with money and power. If a poor person spends most of his day working, how can it be said that he is in good health?
Meanwhile, people with money use the money to hire others to work for them, and they spend time taking care of their health and spending time with loved ones...there are too many things money can buy.

Of course a lot of effort has been made by many people to achieve success or financial freedom, of course many people have succeeded and many have failed, I am currently around 30 years old and I plan to have passive income or freedom at the age of 35 or 5 years, this because I'm tired of work activities and have to jam on the road so many things are missed in my life.

Sometimes we need to see things more positively in life, like the former admitting that I was a poor person. Literally poor in terms of money, knowledge, health,... And even now, even though things have changed a bit, I find that I am still poor in those things, because rich or poor are still happy. and comfortable life going on. Freedom for you may be losing its essence, you just understand that you are free in another bigger birdcage.
The message that I hope you can feel here is satisfaction, gratitude, and humility, appreciating what is and isn't.

Yes, I'm feeling lost and depressed in pursuit of my financial freedom goals, what I'm doing is seen by others as bullshit and a waste of time, so I'm almost alone, with no one to accompany me. But I still believe in the path I have chosen, one day those people will have to apologize to me for their current attitude.

I never felt boring whenever I am making money and most people keep running towards making money even if they are the richest person on this planet which shows what is the power of money and most people don't stop even if they have more than enough for the rest of their life.
That's actually the motivation that we need and we ain't rich so it's never boring to make money and do our stuff. It encourages us to do better and do more when we've got goals that we wanna achieve.

Financial independent and making money is different in my opinion cause we can make money in different ways but only few managed to understand the system and excel in it by finding the loop holes of this Matrix just like Andrew Tate blabs. Grin
Those people that have found themselves richer and wealthier due to their strategy won't share the details about how they've got there. They may share a bit of it but the entirety of it will be kept as it's their secret.

Well, we just don't stop thinking of ways for us to get to the top and all of us got the same resource and that's time. All of us got 24 hours and it depends on each of us on how we're going to spend that in making money.

Only very few individuals managed to get richer on their own but talking about majority they are getting richer by sucking the efforts of working class and we used to that system and our system also designed in a way like study well and get a good job then retire which is created by the existing rich community and they keep this under control for the last 2 or 3 centuries, it seems like talking about conspiracy but that is what the reality if we think in the wider sense.

Not surprising. Financial freedom won't be achieved in a single year even if you have a decent job. Being financially free means uou are not worry of any amount of expenses. Unless you'd be on executive position in a company which could give you a well compensated salary. But most of the time, financial freedom could be accessed through businesses or other investments. But since we are talking about investments, uncertainty is tied with the concept itself; being uncertain of profit to be earned. Risk will always be present. But that is how things are being done. You need to embrace the risk in order to achieve freedom not only financially but also with other aspects of an individual.

Everyone has different needs in life, people who have a large income, their expenses will be large too, and conversely, people who have a low income will adjust according to their financial capabilities. Financial freedom will be very difficult to obtain, and also I think everyone has a different size with the intended financial freedom, because it comes back to how they live their lives.
I personally want my financial freedom to be felt by my descendants, or in the sense of the word I pass it on to them. Everyone has a purpose, and one of my goals is not to let my descendants feel worse than I have ever felt.

Agreed. I always think about this when I feel unhappy and tired. Personally I don't have any needs to satify which probably sounds horrible. All I think about is what to pass on to my kid, both materially and spiritually. I have come to the crossroad where life should slow down a bit. I have to put my kid in the first place.

Teaching the best and giving the best to children is a good thing because this is also a form of responsibility that we bear as parents, so we should give this to our children.
But on the other hand, we also need to have our own limitations because giving the best to children can also be wrong because basically children also end up getting used to being spoiled so there needs to be other education so that children can become individuals who can be like us and even have to be more independent. . this is so of course he can live his life better.

People sometimes mistaken financial freedom as being rich and can buy anything they want excessively. Generally, it is known as to have enough savings, investment, and cash. The spending is below the mean of one spending habit. Where it goes wrong is sometimes when people wrongly set goals without careful planning and consideration. Such cases could make one easily falls into a rat race or simply because they want more and more money.

Personally, it is necessary to have a doable goals when someone setting up their financial planning, while they also need to keep the balance between their well-being and happiness.

There is no doubt we are here for a purpose your question is more like a moral question. In which your inner self asks you why you want to run a race of becoming financially independent. Is this our main aim and purpose in life is that why we are created? I have authentic answers to your queries but those answers are based on my Religion Islam.

Overall, I can say some have determined the aim of achieving a financially independent life while some only want to flow in the river of life according to the waves' direction so that they could live happily by facing less resistance to life. Maybe my words are of no good to someone but that's also my fleet thought.

Some lost in the seek for money and some lost in the race of making more and more money. We should set a goal to achieve first, this will keep us on track, proper planning of money usage and where to invest it with proper knowledge are some factors to be kept in mind before starting the pursuit of money.

No doubt those who make money using wrong methods are always in pain and tension but those who chose the right way always remain in peace sometimes the opposite happens to what I said but that's ok, I call that situation a reset timespan for a person in which the victim learns the lesson and does not cross the limits of humanity and remain moderate in dealings
