You are right in many respects, but look at what happened in 2008. The entire world was swindled by the scammers on Wall st and Washington politicians. Also nobody was complaining when housing was going up every month, everyone was more than happy to take out loans against their house to buy new cars and tv. The entire world is built on BS and Fraud. What you see here is just a reflection of the real world. You can't fix it!!!!

I am fully aware that currency is manipulated. That doesn't change what the economic theory behind bitcoin is about. It is an experiment, not an answer. I was stating that you are not going to save a bunch of people with something they know nothing about, just because it is in your heart.

Do you think an altcoin could be superior to the lakota silver based accounting.   They charge 1 oz of silver a month in fees, alt coin is much cheaper then that to transact in.

Often I dont send in bitcoin, I use doge or some other coin.  Because its usually much cheaper to send to multiple recipients even if I have to convert to it first.   In usage I see alt coins as ok so long as the miners are willing to process it, not sure its a rip off.
In holding or investment Im not sure any are better then silver, as silver has a base line from natural interest and use.  You can break it apart if need be, Lakota stands on its own because of that where as crypto is alchemy but not substance.   I dont think its a scam, there is some utility but no raw investment potential only by pure innovation is worth added?

  Global commerce can and does have a use for crypto coins and its upto miners, devs  to compete for that market business with service and use of ease, this is fair market risk on both sides?

Your comment belies a complete lack of how our world economy works. A subtle but overlooked point by your ilk is that all major export driven economies manipulate their currency, the US must do the same to stay competitive and to keep manufacturing jobs in this country. The stealth way to do this is to print dollars to weaken the dollar. The key point is that our economic competitors in Asia and Europe will do ANYTHING to keep manufacturing jobs in their country up to and including currency manipulation as a part of the tool kit.

since we all know the people of Iceland are not going to redeem their coins it's a massive cash grab nothing more.

bottom line is a premine is unbelievably valuable .. having millions or in AUR's case 50% of all coins that could ever be mined on launch day
means those coins are worth far more that $14.50 each and the coin cloner now has the ability to play with them behind closed doors..
he can flip them and make a million dollars and still in the end have the coins needed to hand out to any kickbacks, bounties etc.

I have witnessed and made a hobby out of watching the reaction of crypto on media outlets across the world from Local to world news to various new web sites
and the overall perception of Bitcoin itself is bad a year or two ago people thought it was a Ponzi scheme and since it's gotten worse.

Yall want to care about how others views in the way it affects a perception of p2pcoin currency specifically Bitcoin.  Haha maybe you should go back to USDs if you don't care about the 6 billion people that are not banked with a internationally trusted and recognized financial system. Treating people as charity is wrong but empowering entire populations to participate in an economic systems. And it should be that way, but the US has more of a "sit down and shut up" approach when it comes to respecting others rights. Native Americans in California couldn't even have casinos until the state put it up for vote. That is not very sovern when the state gets the final say on what the indigenous people can and can't do on there own land.

Their "currency" is as authentic as coins from the Franklin Mint. They are worth their weight in gold and silver, nothing more. I do encourage them to trade in precious metals instead of fiat, which the website states that is their goal.

You have coins like Darkcoin which is trying to fix a real problem. You have Nxt and Nem and the like that are actually bringing in new things and are not just copies with a new marketing spin.

Even Devcoin and a few others have something different that is unique to their coin.

Then you have the rest that may be trying to say they are going to become widely used, and will be the next big thing, or will actually go mainstream and be used by the general public. If someone has some they convince themselves that this will happen. They have a boatload. They pull out the calculator and see that million dollars jump off the calculator and into their bank account.

Then two weeks go by and they sell for a 75% loss. Then they do it all over again. Or they get hip to the pump and dump game and start to make a few bucks. Some of these scam/pump&dump coins even admit right from the start that they are for "speculation".

It is what it is. But the crypto world isn't going anywhere. It will all run its course. In the end I believe it will only be stronger because of it.

The sky is not falling. And don't hope that people stop making scamcoins. I wish I could make 100,000 of them right now. The more there are, the less relevant they become. Once there is 5000 coins they will all be nothing. The more there are the better because then they will fade into each other more and more.

A new coin will have to BE something to be even noticed. This is already starting to happen.

By "bringing bitcoin to The World" they are in point of fact, defeating the original intent but they don't let that stop them!  We had a good thing and they are making am mess of it.

If they want to "change the world" maybe they should go live on a Kibbutz or join the Peace Corps but in any case, they should get the Hell out of crypto!
