I used to watch cryptocurrency charts but since I wasn't trusting them i never made an investment Cheesy.I don't know if it's something that you should get stress unless you are risking a lot of money but it was always like that. There were up/down movements on the charts. At the end of the day if you are profiting that it what it metters. Been in crypto for about 2.5 years now, and it has always been this 'stressful'.
I don't get stressed about it,  tho, because I didn't make any major investments
in it like you did.  You probably should have taken a profit when you doubled
your money.  Nothing wrong with that.   If your goal is to just hold, you might
want to not be checking the price constantly.

Yes. In crypto a week is like a month in regular trading. The best way to handle it is to lay low and hodl.
The past weeks were extreme but expect similar stuff in the future

I am quite late to the party, joining only 3 months ago.

I bought a bitcoin and invested in a number of alt coins.

In that time my portfolio doubled in value, halved in value, bitcoin forked, and I am now just about in profit again.

Has it always been this stressful?

Regardless, I am hooked...
