HashFast's Golden Nonce GN ASIC successfully taped-out yesterday, Wednesday the 28th, and has been released for 28nm fabrication to a well-known, leading-edge foundry.  More details will follow in next week's joint press release.

-John

Congratulations John (and rest of HF team).  Big milestone.  I look forward to the joint press release.
I assume this means you still anticipate meeting your delivery estimate?

3) Also, please note: We will soon be moving away from the MtGox Weighted Average Exchange rate for the direct bitcoin transfer payment option. Take advantage of this high exchange rate Now!

Wait... Given the fact that there is a 10-20% spread between the MtGox exchange rate and the Bitstamp rate that Bitpay uses, does this mean that customers using BitPay paid significantly more for their orders compared to the direct bitcoin transfer customers?

I would assume yes.

http://blog.bitpay.com/2013/06/important-update-on-bitpay-exchange.html

Well, that is not cool. HashFast customers using BitPay will have overpaid by ~15% then. Otoh it means that the MPP should kick in sooner for these folks but still...

it's not like HF has taken advantage of you.

when they exchange those BTC to USD to pay expenses they are forced to take the BitPay rate on the back end too due to mtgox illiquidity.

If I do it online I just go the option to pay with BTC direct transfer or bitpay, or the order will be canceled in 1 hour.

Thanks

The bitpay invoice will cancel but HF can still see your order*.   Just place the order (select bitpay), send them an email with the order # indicating it is being paid by wire, and then wire them wire them the funds.  If you want to wait for an official response I would place the order, click bitpay, that will at least reserve a unit for you so they can't sell out.

* I had a bitpay invoice time out and I was still able to pay manually after the fact.

Received the instructions to make the payment, but is the unit already reserved until I make the payment ?

I just received the details to make a wire transfer, but where do I make the order ? Where do I put the shipping adress and those details ?

Big News Coming Today! Watch this space!

Additionally:

1) Due to a number of wire transfers that failed to come through, we are relasing additional inventory to complete the sale of the first batch of Baby Jets. We have modified the order chain rules such that wire payments will now be added to order chain based on date / time wire is received, not when order is initiated.

2) We are now aceepting back orders
     - Due to variance in predicting wafer yield, it is likely that we will have more ASICs in First Batch than initially calculated.
     - However, the inventory for backorders is uncertain - wafer yield prediction is notoriously subject to inprecision throughout the semiconductor industry.
     - Our design has been intentionally engineered to be defect tolerant across 96% of its surface area.
     - Backorder chain will be posted below order chain.
     - Customers that place backroders that cannot be filled will be offered store credit and first in line for second batch, or 100% refund.

These changes have been posted here:
https://hashfast.com/shop/babyjet/

As always, support staff is available at [email protected] or 800-609-3445.
