How long realistically do you reckon it will take to get a resolution and some kind of compensation check?

I know its august and that the sun is a hell of a great thing, but can we have something resembling an update please?

I assume you mean from hashfast?

At this point I will have to give props to BFL. They may be a year late, but they havent gone bankrupt yet Wink

I would have to agree with you on this....    hashfast basically stole 210 btc from me Sad

That would be 900 chips and with 60k/month in expenses you would roi in no time (two months). The only difference is that you would need only 45 racks and not a whole warehouse.

That after that HF slept on those chips for 9 f. months.

and what is your point?

I would take my bitcoin refund in chips right now!!

Hearing Held. The hearing on Official Committee of Unsecrued Creditors' Motion for Substantive Consolidation scheduled for 8/20/14 at 9:30 a.m. is vacated. Counsel to file a notice rescheduling the hearing to 9/10/14 at 9:30 a.m. The U.S. Trustee's Motion to Appoint Chapter 11 Trustee will be heard on 9/10/14 at 9:30 a.m. Ms. Glosson to file a notice. (related document(s): 167Notice of Status Conference filed by Hashfast Technologies LLC) (lp ) (Entered: 08/08/2014)

It is just being moved to a different day.

Listen to the audio when it comes out.  Hashfast has agreed to hire new management aka a CRO, "Chief Restructuring Officer", of the creditor committee's choosing.  The US Trustee, apparently as a matter of policy, files a motion to appoint a trustee whenever they are told a CRO is being hired.  A CRO should have a similar effect as a trustee motion but with less cost and overhead.

A CRO is a way more expensive outcome than trustee.  Especially since rumor has it all employees have quit.  So the guy is creditor committee choice to run a liquidation and charge a bunch of fees and take longer.  Only difference is that with a CRO the lawyers get paid for all their stalls.  With a trustee, the lawyers bills are up for grabs and can be refuted.  Creditors continue to lose out in this deal as the past couple months of committee actions has shown.  Is there a way they are held accountable or to a return?  The company can't issue refunds if they don't have money.  Oh, and how are they going to pay this CRO person? Huh

You don't know what you are talking about.  Trustees are very expensive and often hire a bunch of lawyers and accountants to assist them in addition to their own fees.  A CRO is a faster cheaper way to achieve a similar result.

Any professional's fees (ie: the lawyers) always need to be approved so whether or not a trustee is appointed has no bearing on being able to dispute fees.

But since that you can have the CRO today and the trustee in a month maybe, it's a no brainer. Not to self: why am I answering to you? Maybe because it was something that for once made sense answering to?

personally I dont think refunds check will ever come and if they do it will be for a very small percentage of the original purchase price. Personally I would rather get a few more units then a partial refund.
