Ask them about the new board design barber talked about during that hearing/testimony. They told me their yield to be 90% at the time. (Maybe since that they are reading they could simply answer here.)

I started a dialog with parts@ and got a reply from [email protected] regarding getting the manufacturing files, firmware and sales process.  +1 to know their historical yield on boards as this is a non-starter if the yield is low.

He states:
"Once you purchase Golden Nonce ASICs, you will be provided the manufacturing files (schematic, BOM, and PCB layout files/Gerbers) for the mining board.  The tools and software is already available at https://github.com/hashfast .

Please provide me your address, and phone number and I will get an order confirmation sent to you for the Golden Nonce ASICs along with enough of the 5 hard to find parts to build boards.  Once we have received payment, I will send you the manufacturing files."

Completely useless until when they release the design of their board under public domain. Firmware included. And I wanted to see both the evo and the new half costs version.

Even after that, you would have to add PSU and cooling. $200. And you are being optimistic in your per board cost. $300 is. You could probably reach that price if you had the PCBs for in hand for free. So $300 + $168 + $200 for 650GH. Plus the yield, plus whatever could go wrong since that you will have to deal directly with suppliers. Good luck.

Meh.

Should I open a moderated thread to discuss serious things about the bankruptcy process to keep this guy that was and probably still is being paid with the money stolen from us from making us lose time?

Yes a new linked thread would be a good idea

Crypto is the separation of Power and State.
how did you manage bail?

Yes, I've been lurking in the altcoin prison, but they don't actually require bail to leave.   Grin

But don't give thermos any bright ideas!

I see I've missed a ton of glorious conflict while away!  The drama and mind-boggling HashFast intrigue on this thread are even more compelling than season one of Utopia....

Hi Ray,

They have depreciated massively during this bankruptcy, while the committee has done little or nothing to facilitate a deal.
I would say that the problem is the debtor that did nothing to facilitate the "deal". They are the ones that kept it devaluating for 6 months from 50M to 0.5M or something.

If there is a better deal, by all means let's hear it and make it. If not, let's do the deal there is and get the chips mining before they lose more value.
Doing nothing is probably a better deal than gifting everything to someone that can steal what's left from you.

HF's bankrutpcy lawyers thought of that, and asked for due diligence.
Having something doesn't mean using it.

We need to see the formal papers, which will be done shortly.
When? I would say that they are running a little bit late.

But if the deal is as I understand it, and there are no other buyers, this is a no brainer.
Same fallacy.

This thread is bursting with so much enthralling turmoil!  It should sweep the 'Best Drama' category at the Emmys, Golden Globes, etc.

For example, first the bumbling slow-witted David prattles on for months about how he and his mighty lawyer are going to take HF to the cleaners and put Simon in jail, in the most one-sided open-and-shut case since Tim McVeigh's trial.

Then, David suddenly stops paying his heroic lawyer and proceeds to get into a spat with another lawyer who is actually working on the case!   Cheesy

Wow, could this possibly be any more entertaining?   Grin

I don't know if the best part is
-David wasting his time and money to generate amusement on my behalf and getting nothing in return, or
-David slowly realizing being so eager to lawyer up (and encouraging others to do the same) will result in him getting nothing in return, or
-the creditors turning on each other and bickering (in the classic Bitcointalk style) at great expense to all involved, or
-the 'Days of Our Coins' soap opera plot twists (the committee chair's brother has links to Venezuelan military socialists? wut?)

This season of All My Bitcoins is turning out to be the most exciting one yet!

I haven't been up to date on the thread here, but the call was from a Google Voice number in California.

Cara called and wanted to verify who purchased our baby jets. My partner paid and had them shipped down to me.

I asked how things are going and she said that they are working for us, selling chips or something like that.

I just want my money back + mpp loss. I know it's a mess right now.

Anyone else get a call from HF today?
No, were they trying to sell you something?
Edit: For anyone that didn't notice because Hashfast buried it in a blog post that they didn't bother to publicize they listed their current inventory and prices on their website for anyone interested in buying anything.

If they actually wanted to sell something, why wouldn't they have started a thread here and on reddit?   Seems strange since they used this forum to sell their units initially so how do they justify that it does not reach the people that might want to buy stuff or organize group buys?
At least, thanks to your post, some people know that they can buy some of this and maybe organize a group buy to get a good price.
It does raise the question though, on why they did it (and tried to hide it) and also why they would sell at these prices.   even without the discount they are selling chips for 168?   put in on a board (say 200 plus some profit for pepper mining, so maybe 300) and you have 650GH/s for 70 cents a GH/s.

Attention German HashLast victims:

I received my second letter from the US Bankruptcy Court today. On the list of creditors, there are two undeliverable German addresses. Maybe you guys want to restate your claim.
If you fill the form, you can use any US state (checked field).

Werner from Peißenberg (don't use the ß Wink

1) It is clear now that Eddie is Venezuelan or, at least, originally Venezuelan.
2) One of Eddie's buddies is named Guido Ochoa.
3) This Guido Ochoa is a Venezuelan Socialist politician with links to the military.
4) This same Guido Ochoa has recently purchased some of Hashfast's assets.
5) This Guido and Eddie have some proposal together - the details of which I'm fuzzy on - to pull HF out of bankruptcy.
6) If the answer to 5 is yes, where can I find a concise description of this proposal?

1) No, according to his testimony, he was born in Spain and has dual Spanish / American citizenship.
2) According to Eduardo's testimony he only met Mr. Ochoa after he approached Hashfast to place an order.
3) He is a politician and business person in Venezuela
4) Hashfast has sold boards to Mr. Ochoa post bankruptcy filing in line with the rules of bankruptcy as far as we know.
5) High level the proposal is to partner with mine operators giving them the chips for free and in return Hashfast would get a percentage of the mine's revenue.
6) It's in one of the exhibits filed with the court along with the opposition to the LB sale as an example of a potential alternative plan.

Is it just a chip offer no boards? Factories will hit hard for small batches.

Edit:

Would we use one communal factory?
Are there parts in inventory for board assembly? There is a domestic on again and off again supply shortages of components.
I would like to hammer out the cost to get this out the door.  I can make a commitment if others are on board.

I think that the proposal you are talking about is exhibit H.
