As long as people keep buying S5, they'll likely keep selling S5.  Even if the S7 (S6?) is completed, they could just sell S5 and use the extra hash and potential power savings for themselves.  They don't really need to sell the S7 until people stop viewing the S5 as competitive, and quit buying it.

If I were a wagering man (and lets face it I am Smiley ), I would bet that the S7 is already completed and deployed in large scale in their farms, but there is no reason to release it yet because no one is challenging the might that is Bitmain.  They are really the only source of mining gear currently.

My prediction is that as soon as Sfards releases their miner (which they have said multiple times is the most efficient), Bitmain will have the S7 up for sale for immediate shipping and undercut whatever price/power efficiency.  Until then, might as well replace the gear being used to backup the Hashnest hash and reap the rewards of providing the same level of hash at a lower electrical cost.
Sounds smart to me.  We are at the mercy of their control unfortunately.

I just hope when they finally do release the S7 its sound is manageable unlike the S5!  I don't think they will have that in mind, but I can wish right?

nice new version of the hashnest app finally supports buying s5 direct from market. love the app and updates keep up the great work.

Does it let you buy an entire S5 or only certain amount of hash?

It has another tab for the actual S5s not the market where you buy hash. So yes how many full S5s you want at 1155gh per S5 (where it takes 72 hours to ship and setup)

The restock could be part in due to PACMiC V1 expiring.  Mine have almost all ran out, so they are now selling the S5's on the market instead of offering more PACMiC which aren't selling out anymore.

You need to write to the Hashnest support for it.
If you provide a signed message from your bitcoin deposits they can identify you easily and you can gain back your account's control.

New stock has came to s5 and the new price is: 1.61215473 BTC (420$) and currently 1 ghs price is: 0.00139580 btc. If you buy the S5 directly.
Market price is: 0.00137 now, it's more profitable to buy from market rather than buying an S5...

I've bought 1 S5 5 days ago at 1.55635016 BTC and it started to mine 12 hours ago (it's net profit is 3 mbtc in 12 hours)

And it's price will go up in a month. At least 0.00145 btc I guess.

Yes i saw this and something is puzzling me .

My logic is based on the data you can find on blockchain .
You can see on this graph https://blockchain.info/fr/charts/hash-rate?timespan=180days&showDataPoints=false&daysAverageString=1&show_header=true&scale=0&address=   than hashpower is more or less constant .

But you can see on this graph than antpool is gaining rank  : https://blockchain.info/fr/pools?timespan=4days

I don't see why the other pool would shut down miners ,especially with btc increase.

So my conclusion is that some extra hashpower which was on a separate ip address is now included in the antpool hashpower score . Am I correct ?

Could it be possible than hashnest was testing S7 on the network , and is now selling a part of this hashpower as S5 pack ?? (meaning in the S7 you could make the equivalent of two virtual S5 for example) .

That would explain the new 2000 S5 in the shop ??  can somebody tell me if my logic is sound  ?

Don't know if my explanation is very clear . Don't hesitate to ask if so .

Very interesting that they might go for a S7 so early on! The S5s are still almost as good as it gets.

Did Hashnest get impacted by the Invalid Block mining?

Antpool was one of the offending pools see https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.11785694

I got it from the shop. And, like some guys told me on here when I asked that same question that it is really up to you whether you think it is worth it or not.

I personally like the PACMiC v2 contract because I didn't purchase them expecting too much. Just small interest (14% really isn't small when compared to a bank)on some bitcoin holdings.  And, with bitcoin prices looking a little healthier recently I have no problem leaving the auto-buy feature enabled which prolongs my principal payback, but allows it to grow slightly more.

Got it. Shop price now 0.001298. Getting very tempting. Which one benefits more from increased BTC prices - PACMiC or just buying an S5?

S5
