I'm in the process of tracking him down right now.

Here is what I know so far.
In December 2014, he transfered his domain to DomainsByProxy.com, who registered him to GoDaddy.com, hiding all his information.
I've emailed DomainsByProxy.com provided contact information, if that doesnt work, they have a spot to file a fraud with them.

Typically - if enough people contact DomainsByProxy -- and you contact them in a professional manner -- by Certified Letter -- then they will comply.

We are just doing some final tests today and tomorrow.
We had to send some chips back at the weekend because they failed some testing but please don't panic, we have enough for this run.

Seriously, the guy doesn't even bother coming up with a new line, it's just the same regurgitated crap every time, and honestly why would he bother coming up with another excuse when people keep falling for this sad one he's using.  This guy is a crook.  There's no doubt in my mind about it.

Simon,
I'm really not trying to be rude about this, but it is extremely important that you provide shipping information. You stated after the weekend, and it is well past that point. Multiple people are already processing fraud reports against you, and I'm really hoping that is not the case. You have broken multiple promises.

Please provide shipping information today or return my money.

Hi Jeremy

Sorry we have not been touch when we said we would.

We are just doing some final tests today and tomorrow.

We will be in touch within the next couple of days hopefully with some good news for you.

Kind regards

Simon

Really, this is getting laughable.

Simon,
You really need to keep up on contacting your customers or get your website up with updated information. I know you want to complete this project as much as we want our product.
I look forward to hearing by Friday, hopefully I wont have to pester you and you will give a timely update.

Hi Jeremy

We probably will not have tracking numbers ready till after the weekend as we never get them straight away from the shipping company.

Sorry to keep you waiting.

Kind regards

Simon

I wouldnt mind one of those 96MH/s versions for 900W, too bad I dont have $1100

They've been selling those for months at that price (plus shipping), but now it doesn't make much sense if you can get 2.5x hashrate for about $300 more. I hope they'll drop the price on those 96 MH/s too.

Yeah,

IF Simon actually ships, I'll be happy.
IF Simon actually refunds, I'm going bitcoin route with an S5 and buy my dogecoin wtih BTC

In other news, you can now buy an in-stock 256 MH/s Alcheminer for about $1700 or so... which not much more per MH/s than hashra's scam.

Eventually Simon might even ship some rebadged Alcheminers when they're selling at 1/2 of what he charged. Only so that he could regain some goodwill to scam more.

Aren't these like 2200 watts?  I guess you need a special circuit to run them.

I wonder how this compares to a KNC Titan from Ebay?

Titan is probably better (not sure what's the current status with the firmware etc) but more expensive. I don't think you can get it for less than $2500?

Yeah, Alcheminer is 2200W vs Titan's 1500W or so. Whether that matters depends on your power costs.

Wow - it doesn't stop.  Just buying more and more time.

I mean Simon indicated his website would be back up in about 24 hours -- and it has been, I dunno, over a week?

Please people - don't believe this stuff -- someone needs to create a nice timeline of all the Simon emails.  Then perhaps people will see that it truly is a scam.

If the units are shipping -- where is the software on their site or Github?  It was always indicated that you would need special software to run it and it would only work on a Raspberry Pi - not the Pi+.  Oh - I know, they will include a USB stick with the drivers - yeah right.

Yeah, I'm about done with this crap. His last promise was March 15th, come Monday, no tracking number, I will begin processing my paperwork with fraud agencies.

I don't think it was appropriate to move this thread here.  It is not about a service really, it is about a mining hardware company.
