any news ?
has anyone got a refund ?

I have news but it doesnt help anyone.

Board stability issues, they are redesigning the boards and have some improvements.

No shipping, no update really. A possible video of a unit hashing may be coming but who knows when.

Anyone surprised by this?

To be completely honest, no it doesn't surprise me at all.

Have you ever ordered anything straight from China?  I'm not saying, bought anything from from a store in (your home country) that was fabbed in China.  I'm saying have you had anything that is custom made in china, strictly for you.

I have, stuff for my fuel injection performance shop.  The failure rate is extremely high on anything that isn't tested before it leaves the factory, and still too high for stuff that does pass the scam they call inspection/testing..  It almost put my shop out of business before I gave up and started having my stuff fabbed locally at about 8x the cost.

If you ain't apple, and driving people to jump off the building to commit suicide in order to get good parts, you do not get them.

ordering from china is a pain in the a**. well in the most cases and espescially when you re getting stuff manufactured there... from my point of view the most legit and reliable chinese vendors/manufacturers for mining-HW have been bitmaintech and gridseed (esp. their resellers). and i totally agree to your statement,..  so i wouldn't trust any european/us resellers which can't proof inventory with mining-HW or claiming your hardware is being shipped from china...

Simon,
I am requesting a refund for the 1x Astro unit I purchased. You have failed multiple times to deliver on the promised deadline, you have failed multiple times to provide timely and accurate status reports, you have failed multiple times to even deliver as promised.

My order number is #1812.
I am requesting a refund in USD or equal value in BTC immediately.

I'm done with the games. Refund now.

I'm sorry for the delay of this, we were really hoping to be shipping already.

We'll keep you updated.

Kind regards

Simon

Because, more than likely, I'm not going to get my money back as the guy is in a different country. I'm not dumb, just realistic.

Oh gosh - I'd hope not.  To avoid criminal prosecution - you would want to make sure everyone gets a refund pronto.

Just a simple call to the state's Attorney General can be a big motivator on refunds.  I would think all the buyers are in the US.

I'm sure the LifeForcePools owner would refund anyone that requests one.  Otherwise it would get messy.

If anyone had any dash of hope -- unfortunately this should be a reality check.  This is no doubt a 100% scam.

I think "Simon" used this exact excuse a few months ago.

At this point it could well be that lifeforcepools is making this shit up to drag this past PayPal dispute deadline, which unfortunately for him is 180 days AFAIK. You never know how many layers are there in this onion.

Hi Jeff,

I sincerely apologize for the delay in getting you a status, but we have been working around the clock on the assembly, machines and most importantly testing.

Where we stand right now is that about 50% of the chips were unstable.
We had to test everything thoroughly and the news wasn't great, about 50% of those were also unstable.

We know the chip and the boards can work fine as we have being testing it with exactly the same specifications before but since this batch of chips have been made we have had stability issues with them after 48 hours of testing.

I know this is a real pain for everyone but we have to keep testing to figure out if we need new chips produced or we can use these for at least some of the machines. You will be first to know as we come to some conclusions.

Please bare with us for a few days till we have some more concrete news.

Sorry Jeff.

So the lifeforcepools guy is now saying they ship next week.

Honestly -- I still don't see how this unit can even be produced and shipped from China to the US for $450.00.

It doesn't make any sense.  Most miners are pretty heavy.

Where did you see that info from lifeforcepools?  An email from him?

Probably a PM on this forum.

I sent an email off asking if we could get the RaspPi image to get ready especially for those with large deployments.

I see a 96Mh/s AlcheMiner on Ebay right now at $610.00 with 2 hrs to go (free shipping from Atlanta).  Ahh but it does not include the PSU.  Runs at 900 watts -- kind of similar to the A2 terminator.

I think I'd rather just buy a used A2 Terminator -- similar in price (when the AlcheMiner auction ends) -- probably.

i've seen the reviews on them, and I personally wouldnt mind having one.
