All cards were verified by the manufacturer's as defective memory as at default clocks the memory errors were around 1Mil a Second,They sent me replacements which I am awaiting now (2-3 Days for Power Color, prob a week for MSI, god knows for the XFX LOL) I will re-test them and fingers crossed that I was just very unlucky

ALL cards - and they said memory errors? Jeeezus, if true, that's somewhat scary.

Sapphire RX570 Pulse 4GB:
Hynix - 29,3 ETH + 670-680 DCR
Elpida - 28,7 ETH + 650-655 DCR

What settings/clocks are you using on the Elpida cards please?

I have bought 4 XFX, 4 PowerColor, 4 MSI Rx 500 Series cards and have had to RMA 3 XFX, 2 PowerColor, 3 MSi so far they have all had bad memory I was running them Stock just FYI but I have only had to RMA 4 RX 400 Series cards out of 120. That made my choice much easier to start expanding my Nvidia farm over buying more RX 500 Series Cards.

First, that does NOT mean they had bad memory - that means you can't use them right. You HAVE to have fucked something up - I seriously doubt the failure rate is that high.

But by all means - please do buy from Nvidia... keeps prices lower for good AMD cards.

I'm still stuck at 28MH/s on these Sapphire IXTI Pulse cards.  All my 470's do 29.5-31.5 no problem.  Not sure what the deal is with these cards.

how did you get the 31MH  I have xfx 470 4gb.   I would love to get that .

I can only get to 29-29.5 on XFX cards for some reason.

Custom bios guys.  Research memory straps.  That's how you get 28-31Mh/s.

No shit, XFX are garbage cause of the shitty cooler. The VRAM ICs and probably the VRM too are getting so hot they underperform.

bios edited,  memory speed at 2000MHz with 0 memory errors

Care to share your settings here? I can't get it past 27mh/s & 2000MHz on ram after modding the BIOS

MSI 570  GamingX 4gb

Hynix

1500 ->1625-1750-2000

-cvdd 940 -mvdd 980  If voltage memory <960  - drop

1250|2100 (2080)

31,2 Mh + 780 decred

From wall 165 watt (Gold)

Could you tell me how you got that Hash Rates?

Yea, and I just said I dont get any errors at 2100 for most of the cards.

Well, I also get less errors at 2100 but more start coming in at 2050, that is why I asked.

Zero on most, 1 every 10 minutes or so on a couple

Is that the dorrymills moded strap? Can you please check if you get any errors at 2050 MHz?

@Apnel

I have the same cards, but I'm a bit scared to run the memory at 2100Mhz.

U think this is safe? Whats ur memory mV?

Can't change mem mV, higher voltages is what will really decrease life of an electronic not higher clocks so the only thing you gotta worry about is stability

Can you elaborate a bit on "modified 1425 strap" or point me in the right direction?  I am working with a batch of 570 Sapphire ITX (Elpida).

ETH: GPU0 27.811 Mh/s, GPU1 30.827 Mh/s, GPU2 29.126 Mh/s, GPU3 30.816 Mh/s, GPU4 30.805 Mh/s

I am running on copy+paste 1500 straps.  GPU0 is the highest ASIC  (78.5%) but won't run stable past 1925mhz.  GPU2 is my lowest ASIC (68.5%) and is stable @ 2000mhz.  The rest are  70%+ and fine @2100.

It bugs me when I can't get 30 out of a card.  I'm willing to learn but having a time finding info.

Like someone else said, ASIC quality doesnt have jack to do with memory. There's batches of memory that simply can't run over 27MH regardless of strap or mods

What does gpu asic quality have to do with memory speed?
