no one knows exactly where the scam and what is not, except maybe he has the 6th sense may be hehe, the point back to dirikita each, we do something we really understand and we know. my advice is more careful, because it all depends what we do as well. yes so lah I never experienced it because I myself was not careful.

I've been scammed and it was horrible for me because you know that feeling when you put all your effort the time and all in one thing and then you'll know that it was all for nothing. That feeling made me stressed back then but then lifes goes on no matter what happened I believe that there will be much more if i will continue believing in bitcoin
A scam is a risk on the investment online, if you trust your assets to a save or shipped somewhere third party, whether it's investing, transactions, or just saving assets then the risk of a scam will be there, I have experienced scam several times. I've been ripped off when buying bitcoin on a third party. and then investment place I used go out and became a scam.
it's all a risk mate, you have to understand how to reduce that risk

I just came over from the 'Investor Games' subforum (hope I got that right). A guy there said he came across a site asking to double his bitcoin, he paid in $20 and got $40 the following day or so. He then went for a higher plan of $300 hoping to cash out $600 but they asked him to pay in another $300 before cashing out. He got confused and was asking for advice.

I think I've been there before. Before I became a forum member. I once came across one of those scam sites promising to generate bitcoins. Thought it was real, but when they asked me to pay some transaction fee, I was stuck. I had no money to pay the fee. With the benefit of hindsight, I know I'd have sent them the 'transaction fee' had I had the coins to send them.

Now, what have been your experience with internet scams?
How do we help people not to get scammed?

Almost everyone who gets into this space without proper education before making moves would most likely get scammed. There are so many ponzis and outright scam websites that are easy to run these days using cryptos, one's early days in crypto could get in a lot of such mess and having  to learn the hard way. Had a few of that share too

For now I never experience to be scammed and I hope this is not happening to me because all my effort was useless if they caught my earnings.
Yes I do experienced being scammed and it was a trending digital fraud that I've known so far but Somehow I didn't experience being scammed here in virtual currency or simply using bitcoin unlike on my past experience on dealing on online businesses that can ve found in internet and any other social media's.

Fortunately, I have not ever been visit any suspicious websites or anythings like scam. I hopefully I never been scammed. Thank you for all members who have shared your experience in the bitcoin world. I only have opinion that there are so many people who want instant money out there with doing illegal things(especially in the crypto-world). So, we have to be carefull anytime.

The Internet is full of scams and unfortunately, nowadays, scammers are using Bitcoin/crypto to execute their scams. It is very disappointing that 5 out of 6 people heard about Bitcoin through any scam related news. I believe that crypto is all about self-responsibility and I have saved my huge amount of money just by doing some research before taking any decision on investment. I would recommend using the search box for acquiring information before investing anywhere.

I had not been scammed so far and the reason is that I always check reviews before using a website. Only way a person can avoid this is to completely avoid suspicious claims and offers.

if you're an old user in bitcoin, I think you've been fooled. I thought that was the usual thing. even I've been fooled at some minning sites and investment sites, like HYIP, and others. but, it will also shape your thinking.

I was scammed once at a HYIP site and someone stole my bitcoin from my blockchain account too. It happened long time ago when I was relatively new to this kind of business and didn't care too much about security. As time goes by, I learn from my mistakes.
.

Yes I have been scammed two times before. The first one was when I joined networking I have loss the money that I've invested and the second time was when I joined a campaign in bitcoin that wasn't legit.

Yes I have been scammed before. I was fooled into entering a website that I didn't know has a key logger. After that incident I have been very careful when going into sites or making transactions with anyone.

Not at all, I actively take precautions to prevent myself against scams.
Before I invest in anything I make sure  to do enough research and confirm for myself that it is actually a legit project that is worth investing in and throwing money into.
Also I have a rule which I have always followed, which is that if it sounds too good to be true then it usually is and this is what has kept me away from scams.

I remembered a very old autosurf ponzi scam 12DailyPro. At that time, it promised 12% of the daily income. This is simply impossible. But this did not prevent many people from joining the project.
In fact, there were more such ponzis before, and as far as I could tell there was studiotraffic, 4daily and the like. That's really a crazy time.

I am still new here and based on my experience and some activities in bitcoin I am not get scammed, I think you must be intelligent and be literate on what is happening in the sites, read some articles and history about it before you go with that thing so that you have enough knowledge about it.

Not yet, but i hope its not gonna happen. But i experience more on hacking. All my tokens were lost because of someone just hacked mu account and transfer my tokens to its address. Back to scam, i know that many incident is happening in the world of cryptos and some people (the greedy people) are finding ways to have their own money even using the illegal way. As far as no big investments involve, no big loss is going to happen. Always be cautious all the time and search more about the project before entering it. By the way, i remembered that i was scammed in one of my bounty, it doest pay me after all the completed task i made.
