Let's teach ourselves to mean not to invest in these companies. Because when we invest, we need referrers. Then we can earn more. So we have to know about investment and we know about scam investment. We do not want to deal with anyone else's people.

I've been scammed already in ICO when it everything that i read from their whitepaper, their team, the concept and the community involvement is seems to be the indicator that the ICO is legit only to find out that it's just a scam ICO. Still, luckily for me, i've been wasting only my time and effort.

I personally have never been scam before but I have hard case's of people being scammed through different means and on different networks or sites and in most cases it usually come from you wanting to be greedy and want to get rich quick.

I just came over from the 'Investor Games' subforum (hope I got that right). A guy there said he came across a site asking to double his bitcoin, he paid in $20 and got $40 the following day or so. He then went for a higher plan of $300 hoping to cash out $600 but they asked him to pay in another $300 before cashing out. He got confused and was asking for advice.

I think I've been there before. Before I became a forum member. I once came across one of those scam sites promising to generate bitcoins. Thought it was real, but when they asked me to pay some transaction fee, I was stuck. I had no money to pay the fee. With the benefit of hindsight, I know I'd have sent them the 'transaction fee' had I had the coins to send them.

Now, what have been your experience with internet scams?
How do we help people not to get scammed?

Fortunately, I haven't been scammed. Since I am still a teenager, I don't have the money to invest. And even if I have, I am thinking twice on whether to invest it or not. For now, I am investing a lot of time and effort in the campaigns that I've joined. And another thing, I am cautious when having a transaction with other people. Like in online games, where you buy items and trade it with other players. Being cautious is the key not to be scammed by bad people.

No.

And I hope it won't happen. We have to be more vigilant in this cyberworld. Not just in Bitcoin.

I've never been cheated in the past. Even before, especially when it comes to money, I have a trust problem, so I took some time before I joined Bitcoin. When I sign up for the signing and trade, I always make sure that I am careful.

Yes, I was fooled, and at the time I first came into contact with Bitcoin, I was not very familiar with the project at the time and the result was being fooled by a project team.

I never been scammed before, which is I would like to keep the record, but I get feel sad whenever I read stories about one. This stories shows us one of the worsts of humanity. Here where in every aspect of industry, there are people who will do anything just to get money. So next time be cautious and aware to anyone who promises you a "too good to be true deal".

so far, i was lucky and was not cheated. i hope so, that stays that way. i am also very careful. many friends have warned me in advance of fraudsters around bitcoin.

You are lucky just always be careful. Yes, I already scam last 2017 in the internet store not on the bitcoin. These is my story about the scammer. I wanted to purchase on the store. They offer them all item including cap, shoes, watch and bag, phone and gadgets. I choose to purchase a phone and a watch. The primary standards cash first before the thing. I concur with that arrangement. Money was already sent to them, and they said the item convey 1-2 days. I wait until around one month; I follow up but they, not reaction. I recount all my story to the police. After two months they got the scammer.

Yes, I have indeed. I got scammed due to my own stupidness when I was buying an amazon gift-card from a user on the digital goods section. The huge mistake I made was not using ESCROW, just for the sake of saving time. So, one way of staying on the safe side in this forum is to : Avoid autobuy links at all times.

When buying stuff is to look at vouches and reviews (Not fake vouches from newbie alt accounts) in a thread and obviously use ESCROW which is the most important part. Also, if an individual is reluctant in paying a small escrow fee which some members charge, then you don't deserve to use it anyways.

Yes but in the past. Most of my newbie days here in crypto was not good but not all of it. I had joined several times in double your money scheme because i think that was too good. When i first join and i deposit then later on received my payouts. My thinking way back then is maybe this is true because they had paid me but after deposit for a couple of times. It has not paid me and the creator of that scam investment is gone and all of our money is with that person. That's the time i stop joining because i think my money will be wasted if i continue joining that scheme.

Unfortunately,it would be hard to actually get someone who has not fallen victim of a bitcoin scam before,I have personally been scammed.
I remember when I started this bitcoin journey some years ago,I started with faucets,I was so happy about making free money and when I came across an investment site that promised 0.12% profits hourly,I invested all the profits I have made from fauceting into he site.
It went well for a few weeks but one day,I logged in and tried to withdraw,my money wasnt sent and that is when it damned on me that I have been scammed,
We learn from experiences though and I have leant from that one,I am wary of investment sites,I do thorough research before investing anywhere.

No, I've never been scammed. And I am thankful to that. But we need to be careful, because scammer is everywhere. I wish the scammer stop this, and be fair.

They won't stop by scamming mate because this is their happiness and the more victim they have got the more they happy themselves. I'm not scam too but seems to be in there because my old MEW address was hacked and I don't really expect for that moment.
They will not stop as long as there are people that they can victimize and i think the only thing that we can do in order for them to make them stop is to just be aware of the things that we need to look for to identify if there is a scammer so we can easily avoid that and once they noticed that the people that they can scam is getting smaller and smaller then they will eventually stop trying to scam.

I was scammed once, I asked for some service from a freelance, I paid with ETH and I never heard from that guy again.
Be careful, there are a lot of scammers out there.
