Checking it frequently will only waste your time. What I do in this kinds of situation is to use an app where it alerts me to certain price changes I set so that I don't have to visit a website to be updated. Luckily the CoinBase wallet have this feature internally and I get updated when I certain price movement has been made. This really relieves me a lot of pressure from expecting any kind of price movement that won't be happening just by staring at my screen not to mention it makes me more productive as I can do other things besides monitoring the price movements.

It turns out I'm not the only one who checked Blockfolio like 50 times a day right after bought my first coins.
I have it also passed like the others, besides, it's not the best time to check the balance every hour, because you will not see anything good there Sad

I am checking BTC price from time to time, if I need to sell some of my position or buy  but during Bull season it was like my life , my addiction . Now, I  am checking it 2-3 times only, I spent time on news and educating myself on crypto.

I try to count how any times I've checked coin360 on 1 day. It's about 30 times.

P.S I've bought bitcoins so I'm sure that feeling will go away.

I tend to look to many times especially i am making a move our expecting a bounty payment.
If you just bought some BTC, the complete opposite will happen, you will check the price more and more.

Try as hard as you can!
im very understand how you feel. im also like that when the first time I go trading in exchanges. That time all cryptos are pumping out and it make me crazy to watch it almost all over the time. so yeah I do understand how the feeling is.

I do check BTC price daily as well. Daily means 10 - 15 times a day. BTC rise meaning altcoin price rise as well.

It is really addictive once you get some coins and tokens in portfolio.

I checked the price of bitcoin, when I checked my wallet to see if the token already had an exchange list or not. and that is usually done every 3 days or 5 days. I download some crypto applications that provide a graphical feature of the price of all crypto to check, but there is no notification. For example, notifications when prices go up or down. if there is, it will definitely be more helpful.

Monitoring the bitcoin price wont help , but checking it for like once a week is better than checking it for so many times. Its just wasting your time. I know that most of us are getting excited when will the price will rise but lets just wait and know the limits when it comes to price , you dont need to spend your time with that.

Checking the price of bitcoin will not any effect on the price irrespective of the number of times you had checked it daily you had already bought btc and taken a desicion therefore hodl you just have to be optimistic and confident that there should be favourable and positive news that could triggers a  massive bullish runs.

There's no point of checking the prices that much unless you're planning on selling soon. To be completely honest though, I've already done that in the past. That's something you get tired of doing as time goes. You pretty much get numbed to the volatility.
absolutely right and don't monitor as often as possible just to sell or buy, because if you think that you often monitor the price of bitcoin it will be a waste of time, so if you just buy or buy, we just monitor

I check the price of bitcoin once a week. not every day, because I want to see significant movements within a week. whether down, or up.

I think it's not the OP who is into checking with btc as most of the investors and supporters of btc does from time to time. I myself most likely checked almost 10 times a day since I wanted to know the market trend and keep me updated also. My preference is BTC market since this is usually the basis in the alternative coins.

The feeling of excitement is always there. Specially when the price is really unstable and we have more holdings and i believe that the bitcoin price will really rise soon. So we cannot really stop people from those excitement everyone can't help their self by looking at the present price of bitcoin.

I do not check too many times the bitcoin price on a day. I only checked one to two on a day. I do not want to waste my time to do it. For the rest of the time, I concentrated on further research and continued investing in new alttcoin.

When i used to day trade i would check the markets that many times in a day
but now i dont bother. I wont be selling my bitcoin based on the FIAT price
even if it goes to $50k.

I only spend bitcoin when i need to buy something, the majority is held longterm.

Once a man, twice a child!
What you are experiencing now is normal. You aren't paronia. It's the famed beginner anxiety. I guess every high ranked member here did it in the past. Mine got to a point I had to download the blockfolio to easily keep tract of crypto prices. Now, I realize it's needless doing that except when I intend selling off do I check it.

It sounds like a bit of obsession to me.
On the other hand everyone has it's own reasons. If you are active trader, especialy on a daily basis or you have made some huge investment and speculation I would say it's normal to check on price quite often.
But if the market is not going to some changes and the price is more or less steady then is no use in non-stop checking. Although I know it's hard to get rid off the habit.

Most people that frequently check bitcoin are the ones with the intention of selling them off because of the rise in the price.
