That story OP wrote might seem far fetched, or even a merit-fishing tactic (and maybe it is)
With due respect
maybe you haven't notice another comment of mine and him

Snip
It sounds more realistic to me now.

Its fair to blame and negative speech for me cause No way to verify. but does it mean, all upcoming stories are false including mine? Actually Sometimes we share our story with others So that some good works give us satisfaction. But i think its better to lock the thread. Thanks and respect to all who helped people and keep donations

I feel like I help people by telling them about Bitcoin and the opportunities ahead. I don't give people Bitcoin but I tell them how they can earn it and profit. There's a saying that if you want to help a hungry person don't give him a fish, but a fishing rod. I'm always ready to explain bitcoin to people and help them set up their own wallets, exchange accounts and anything else. If someone comes and asks for money the answer will be no, unless they can help me with something and get paid for it.

That story OP wrote might seem far fetched, or even a merit-fishing tactic

His story could be true, but telling everyone about it is like begging for attention.

And why did you transfer Bitcoin to him instead of transferring fiat? In my case almost nobody in my environment knows that I have Bitcoin and if I have to help someone, for example by making donations, I do it using fiat, not Bitcoin.
That story OP wrote might seem far fetched, or even a merit-fishing tactic (and maybe it is)  but I did similar thing more than once, I sent BTC to people in need (orphanage and some humanitarian organizations). The only difference is that I was sending BTC and they were receiving fiat as it was done via Paycek, which is popular crypto payment processor in my country. I could have sent fiat instead, but I simply wanted to do my part when it comes to Bitcoin adoption.
Can relate although here in my country, it is a little bit different where I use Coins PH mainly as an app to send BTC to other people as well. It won't hurt to use it instead of fiat if it brings that much convenience for you. When it was the first few days of pandemic, it is the most used app for me instead of the other traditional digital payments that were widely used in here. There were people using other apps like GCash, but it's a meh for me.

It doesn't make much sense to me to spend the good currency, the one that appreciates, and keep the bad one, the one that depreciates.
I think that there is nothing wrong with using Bitcoin for what it was initially intended for. After all, use of early adopters brought us to where we are now. I don't advocate spending absolutely all your BTC  if you have loads of fiat lying around, but there is nothing wrong with spending some of your BTC every once in a while as that way we do our part (no matter how insignificant it may seem) in helping with Bitcoin adoption.

It's been always told to hold your bitcoin for long, it would be more valuable in future. That's the truth and I'm one of them who converted larger percentage of saving into bitcoin. but when i heard about a baby of my friend, suffer from cancer and he is helpless, then i transfer a good amount of bitcoin from my saving. I know market is bearish, time to buy more but step I've taken, is make me satisfied.

i also once helped a close friend of mine who also happened to often do bitcoin transactions, at that time he borrowed money from me because he happened to have an accident (when he was on vacation) and his bag was lost but his wallet and smartphone were still in his jacket pocket, he asked me to send a few thousand bucks but at that time i did not have some cash on my ATM, i sent him some Bitcoin, the transaction was processed quickly.

That's a good initiative. Some people might say that it would be better if you would send them fiat but no matter what the form of help is, I'm sure that they would still appreciate it. I've done it to a friend whose house has been burnt and I didn't regret sending Bitcoin instead of fiat. It still helped their family a lot and that's too important.

I remember I think it was this new year or Christmas holiday that I did a Bitcoin giveaway to all my close friends, it's like I posted on my social media account asking to drop their Bitcoin wallet address.
It was a good move for me because even a small amount of Bitcoin, it's already huge for them and it will also help to spread the popularity of Bitcoin to other people.
Well, I myself would appreciate if someone would give me even just a little of Bitcoin they have since the price would always appreciate someday. I did this one time helping my friend when he needs some money although I can't send fiat to their place which would cost me some time before I get there if I go. So, I just told him that I will just send Bitcoin instead of cash since it will cost me more time and trouble since I'm busy at the moment.

Just using your phone plus the internet it's too easy to send money back and forth without the trouble of following long lines before you could send some money to someone.

I never transfer Bitcoin to anyone because many people I know don't know about Bitcoin. but if to help my friends or relatives with the results I get from Bitcoin very much, I exchange it to Fiat and then give it to them, I think it's enough to make me satisfied because I can help the people closest to me even I don't want them to know about how I am get it all, because I think those who need help don't care about all that.
Transferring fiat to them I think it's still more practical. We don't necessarily have to transfer bitcoins or altcoins, I find that rather gimmicky and impractical. as they will eventually exchange for fiat to use for their purposes. Like OP's case, he is at the hospital and what he got is bitcoins, what if the hospital doesn't accept bitcoins?. It takes him longer to convert them and sometimes market volatility makes the price lower than he really wants to use.

That's a very nice and I believe the person will really appreciate you have done well and also wish the baby a quick recovery.
Have not really donated with bitcon or make any payment with bitcon before I can't really wait for the day I will buy something and pay with bitcon or when I will donation with bitcon.

If your savings are in Bitcoin, it's a great thing that you helped your friend's child with it like this. I think it's the right thing to do, to help people when they needed, regardless of whether the market is bearish or bullish at that time. As for my case of helping with Bitcoin, I transferred some BTC to a Ukrainian fund that helps the army. I could do it with fiat, but decided to go for Bitcoin, actually. Because it's good to send something I support and care about, for one, and also because using Bitcoin for good things helps improve its reputation.

I have. So many times that I could barely even remember how much I gave all in all or how much oer person. The thing is, most of the people I helped are people that I know. Like a fried or a friend of a friend. I rarely help those people that I do not know. The ways I help them depend on which is convenient for me and for them. Sometimes through btc, sometimes through several altcoins, while at some times I do the converting my self and give fiat or buy the stuff they need myself depending on the situation. Because at times, the one I'm helping isn't familiar with this industry while some are unable to go around buying what they need, sick or in a hospital.

If your friend is into Bitcoin its not bad for you to send him bitcoin.  But if he has not use bitcoin before it doesn't make any sense for you to send him bitcoin because he may find it difficult to convert it to fiat. It would have been better for you send him fiat currency because am very sure that the hospital do not accept bitcoin for payment of bitcoin.

most often the help I do in the form of bitcoin and altcoin is when some friends don't have enough fees/gas to make a transaction and beyond that I can help neighbors and relatives in the form of fiat which was originally in the form of BTC when they needed funds to cover a bank bill and the others

I’ve done a good bit of helping people with bitcoin Over the years. I’ve held a couple charity auctions here on bitcointalk and I plan to host a charity auction for those in Ukraine before long. Sure you should always save money/bitcoin but it’s important to give back as well. Good for your for giving back to help your friend! Keep up the great work.

Yes I help some with my earnings on crypto back when I was earning a good amount from it.
I also help some of my friends by introducing crypto to them they earned from it by joining airdrops and trading,
There are also who just came into crypto because of NFT games and I tried to guide them as much as I could and share the information's that I know to help them.

There is no reason to justify these types of stories, you believe in them or not, it's that simple, it's like the same thing you mention, helping others, there are no conditions when you want to help, it's not about bitcoin or Fiat. If it is bitcoin launch the help and if it is fiat the same.

I can say, you're one of a kind friend who's willing to help a friend without any hesitation, especially that we're here to invest in Bitcoin and we all knew how valuable every fraction of Btc is.
The only time I'm helping a friend with Btc transactions or any other crypto transactions, is when they have a stuck withdrawal and they need to have an extra fund for the transactions to get through. I did it like more than 10 times especially for those who's not really familiar how gas/tx fees works.

In our society today it's very risky doing Bitcoin donation in the open. because you are putting yourself at high risk considering how high bitcoin price is at the moment. If you must do a bitcoin donation it must be an anonymous donation and as long as the recipient knows he is receiving a donation from you then fiat should be the best for security sake so that your charity won't be used against you
