Have you ever lost Bitcoin?

If that happened, why?   Was it your own fault,  or were you scammed?
It was a very awful experience,  I invested over 0.1 btc in ab online cloud mining site named minute btc but when it was time to collect my money they vanished into tin air

I thought they vaporized LOL, don't be so sad you are not alone.  I have invested in PBMINING, CEX.IO, zenminers and many more, I only won on zenminers because I sold my first edition miner that multiply by many folds after few weeks they are released.  To others, I exit with lost in CEX.IO and other vaporized LOL.

A few times I have overlooked the fee of small transactions and ended up paying more for fee than the amounts I wanted to send. My advice to not to fall into the same trap is using a wallet where you can customize fee and remember to check and calculate fee, too, into your financial plan.

I lost few forgetting to backup my blockchain.info wallet on early days but loss was not that big however i got scammed by one program like 0.05 btc after that never ever thought about investing in any such program.
Lol I think after you create a wallet you must have bakcup or at least a private key. and store it into a notepad or document.
and keep it in a safe place. so when you forget the password you can use the private key to import wallet. I think it would be a lesson to you

no i never lost any bitcoins, because when i send my bitcoins to someone, i always check their address 2 or even 3 times just to be sure that i send bitcoins to correct one

Its not about sending the coins to a wrong address, it can be any reason, i also never lost any bitcoins by sending them to a wrong address but i lost a lot of bitcoins in scam sites when i was new to bitcoin and had no experience at all.
but what was said by him right where we need to be careful in using bitcoin because when something goes wrong it will make we lost that bitcoin.

Thats a rare mistake mate and that could be a lesson learner from you and for my side i really check trice my sending and withdrawing my bitcoins to different site since i dont want to lose money from an faulty mistake like that.

But my other experience really is pretty bad i lost my money from hyips, scam by people online, tradings and ICO and thats the reason why i am very meticulous on selecting investment sites and coins where i am putting my money, and i dont want it to be repeat again since i cant afford to lose money again from those scambags.

yes  I also lost my bitcoins and not recover so sad but now I know where to put a secure bank of bitcoins. Lesson learned

I encrypted my BTC wallet with a secondary password, and I gave that password to a family member and a very trustful friend. I've done that so I can't deposit money on gambling websites anymore, or to buy anything with BTC. I think this is the best, safest method not to loose your money Cheesy

I have lost bitcoin once I think all of us experienced this even once. Some lost it to scam just like me, some lost it in gambling and some lost it to altcoin trading, and some lost it because of sending to wrong address etc. I lost my bitcoins to hashocean, Thinking that it was a legit site, I invested in it and before I got my return of investment, they ran and I can't do anything about it. Well I guess im lucky I only lost 0.005 BTC since I got 1 withdraw of 0.005+ BTC with my investment before they ran.

I lost 0.1 when i was newbie in bitcoin and bitcoins before is easy to get because we have here many small task paying high amount of bitcoin
yeah true I think most users certainly ever accept defeat or loss in bitcoin. all users must have gambling, investment, or the like, and if they've been following it very likely you certainly ever lost or lose your bitcoin. lost 0.1 BTC when newbie? What causes so that you lost so big?

I ever feeling the losing in my life, and that's not caused by gambling, invest, or another like that, but just caused by losing my personal data contained the wallet id and password but I don't can find the way to fix the problem and I leaving that and starting at first again.

I think that everybody has experienced this loss in bitcoin even if they don't gamble with it.
When someone does a deal with someone they think they are getting a discount but in actual fact they are not because the buyer has something up his sleeves with the product or service being sold. So they are losing out on value of what they are actually paying for. That happens all the time in everyday life.

Yes I experienced when lost bitcoin for HYIPs . So I lay almost exhausted because of wanting to grow , but it went just scams . But nothing I can do because it is gone. So do not be greedy for not lose more money . I picked up a lesson to learn to be content with what you have so you will not lose more . It was my fault so I also blame what happened because my own decision on the scam .
Each of us  have the  perception of the feeling of being greedy sometimes its natural for us human beings especially  money is involved we  seek higher profits  for a short period of time thats why we  easily falls to scams since other people know   whats the weakness of some fool people out there whos seeking for  big profits.
I haven't lost any coins from being scammed or stolen. It's my own fault that I have lost my coins, such as the fact that I completely forgot about my wallet since it was stored in a PC and didn't have even an online backup. My PC crashed and literally burned since our antenna was unfortunately hit by lightning (what are the chances of that) and it fried the insides of both my regulator and my pc.

That's really a rare situation where the antenna struck by a lightning that's a very unlucky situation but because of that you learned a lesson even you lose all your money. We must think of the back up plans of our hard earned money and be ready on what would happen in future since we don't have idea what will happen. The most important thing we should remember the keys and password, seed etc.

Yes, I've lost some amount, but it's mostly because of my trading errors.

For example, never invest in sh*tcoins. Most movements in the altcoin world are pump-and-dump scams.
Fuck damn you right, i also have bad experience by investing in altcoins only invest in eth i get a profit cause when i buy eth only 200k satsohi for 1eth and after a couple month the price flying high like a rocket.
