recently my friend lost bitcoin that he had in his wallet. I guess it was not his fault, because when he opened his wallet, all BTC is in the wallet are sent to an address that is not in the know, and confirmation has not happened yet, well, I guess it is a case of loss. I hope I have not experienced anything like it

Have you ever lost Bitcoin?

If that happened, why?   Was it your own fault,  or were you scammed?

I havent lose bitcoin yet because im just starting.  Just got my payout from my signature campaign and it is there in my multibit HD wallet.  Ijust hope that this losing bitcoin won't happen to me.  I have secured the seeds and have my priv key safely secured in my file cabinet.
a good start for you dude my advice when you do not want to get any damages or losses that would detract from your bitcoin wallet I think you just need to avoid the risk of something that has to make you lose bitcoin like gambling, Ponzi investment and so forth. I think if you just want to keep and collect. I thought you would not be exposed to defeat

I luckily haven't lost any Bitcoin aside from normal miner's fees so far, thank goodness. But a lot of that is probably due to the fact that I haven't had a ton of experience and I haven't done a lot of investments or participated in the Bitcoin community for a really long time (compared to a majority of the people here) so that probably has something to do with it.
If you're going to be doing trading, expect that you're going to lose but profit in the long run but if you're not gaining any profit at all, then you're either still bad at it and need to learn more, or the exchanger is rigged.
Gambling would surely make you lose bitcoins so if ever you don't want to feel like a loser, don't gamble.

Yes I have lost bitcoins and some other crypto currencies but now because of the same way that you are asking. Actually I made some investments without studying about it deeply (as I mostly use trial and error method), I made investments and later I lost few of my coins (bitcoins  + altcoins) and since then I study in deep about any investment I am willing to make. Though I have never lost my coins due to my wallet issue or something like that, my 100% loss is in investments.

Before I discovered bitcointalk, in facebook group where I joined, there are many HYIP being offered and I joined them. I lost some of my bitcoin earning in my investment with them.

Hahaha seems, like me, I have some experience about the bitcoin facebook groups, inside of the group is there is a lot of people is always advertise their Ponzi site and plunges the another member into their hole and it's full with a lot of devil member and I exit from the group and that's time.

Also, same with you I lost some of myaltcoins also, but this is due to mistake since I never have a backup of my wallet, when my hard disk crashed.

Nope, i very careful and attentive with money, always cheking everything twice before accepting or sending my money. Usually people losing money cause they are not attentive enough.
lol i think you are the cautious and stingy lol. yeah I want to have a nature that is like to be careful to make investments or make deliveries
to a bitcoin address with such you will not be exposed to any scam or wrong in sending bitcoin. yeah it avoids the loss

We can not know who is legit mining site and who is the scam site we can avoid losing our bitcoin by doing some research before we made a transaction or to invest but there is a time i already lose my bitcoin in mining site which is legit in couple of years but some problem it became a scam site.

I think your referring to hashocean which claims to be the most #1 trusted cloudmining  site but it ends  on scam last june. Afther that incident i didnt even think to join another cloudmining sites  because i lose too much btc out there almost 6btc. Thats a lesson learned from that investment , its so hard to accept at first but i moved on.

i personally lost bitcoin for so many time but only in gambling, but now i have changed my whole strategy about bitcoin  and gambling, now i am online investing my pocket money in gambling, and play gambling up to that limit and i dont count it in my lost money because it is my pocket money and i am free to use it any where either on food, traveling or in gambling or clubing etc,
Depending on how you look at it, gambling should only be used as entertainment and nothing more, as you are simply trying to beat the house edge- it's what gambling is. Investing is risky, but it also yields a fair bit of profit, which I am doing now. Smiley
