Hello users, I was registered today and I don't seem to find my way around the forum because everything is confusing to me, I see a lot of boards for many countries, should I stick to my national board alone? this place is also like an organization right? And in every organization there are rules, do's and don't's guiding the organization right? I have a lot of questions and I don't want to stress everyone with my many questions hence the reason why I am asking for  links to useful threads. Thanks for your help.
You don't need to stick to your local board only, you are free to go and surf any section and board in the forum and participate in any discussion you want as long as you think you can contribute something to it.
Don't be hesitant, post what you think is good based on the topic being discussed and if you don't see someone else having the same response. Ask questions about things you are confused about, no one will eat you up for doing that. This is a very active forum, and you will find a lot of experienced, knowledgeable, and helpful users.

Don't try to learn everything in a single day, give the forum some time, everything needs time if you want to learn about it, so keep learning and reading posts and taking part in discussions, and soon enough, you will learn everything.

Welcome to bitcoin, firstly you should bother about reading the forum rules so you dont end up failing one rule and get a tag on your account, spamming is not allowed on the forum.

A thread I'll always recommend is the buy the dip and hold thread at the economy speculation board, as a newbie that wants to invest you would learn all about investing an the best strategies that woudl keep you afloat in doing them.

Read a lot and interact with posts and you will grow gradually. Just don't rush. Take things slow and steady. Hope you will get a great outcome one day

I learnt how to quote multiple users out of my curiosity as I have seen other members do the same I decided to explore my capacity, I was bored and I entertain myself by trying new things buddy

That's my point exactly! If you are so bored and curious (as those are two good qualities someone who is hungry for knowledge should possess) you should have been able to find your way round the forum without asking for guidance. Well, you say you know nothing about crypto, and I dont remember mentioning anything crypto related, just knowing the mechanics of the forum, I hope you get what you are looking for and don't get dettered along the way by criticisms. Enjoy the journey..

Perhaps you have been given alot of useful links to threads and website where you can get as much know as you can if you wish but the task there is to actually use them not just asking for them or visiting them just one and after that it's over, No you have to read, in order not to get lost in discussions.

There are few other things that could guide you on the crypto space which one is terminology, the crypto world especially this forum has its own vocabularies used in conversations, this terms if well know can help you follow up most conversations, and additionally do not take the learnmeabitcoin website for granted it's the place I got the few things I have know about bitcoin and crypto at large including shitcoins.

Perhaps you're interested in the bitcoin technical knowledge how it works and how programming language associate with bitcoin you can also get them on the website, or you can also go to GitHub to get more technical knowledge most technical knowledge are share in GitHub. You should also read the mastering bitcoin book.
There are lot more to visit and read from but if you need more you can come here in this thread to ask for the exact link which you seek.

No dream is too big and no dreamer is too small
You can choose to stay in your local for discussions that you're familiar with in your language. But you seem to have an understandable English and I can say that you're better than me so should you join other boards for discussions, don't get scared as long as you don't get off topic.

I have a lot of questions and I don't want to stress everyone with my many questions hence the reason why I am asking for  links to useful threads. Thanks for your help.
No worries, ask what you want to ask and check out the stickies first from this section and if you're done, go with the other sections.
If you have limited knowledge on other boards, then you can stay on your own local board and make quality posts there. However, exploring the other boards as well will help you grow in the forum, so don’t limit your self in your local board when you know you also have relevant information that you can share in other boards.

I guess all the links that have posted above are good enough to serve as your guide. My only advice is always keep your interest to learn in the forum because that will serve as your strength and motivation to keep going and keep acquiring learning while you are still in the process of exploration and discovery.

Just to play the devil's advocate, you strike me as an intelligent and sharp newbie to be asking for links when it's obvious you have learned how to quote multiple users at a time. My point is, instead of asking for these links which may not be used by you since you probably may know your way around, why not just use the search button. Its even better to ask for the search button so that can help you better instead of links.
For me it gets quite old when users ask for links and even the rules guiding the forum but end up flouting them.

Thanks for acknowledging that I am intelligent and sharp as a newbie, it's a boost for me.

If Op can be active, there are many things he will also discover about the forum, the thing has to do with how determined one is and how committed to learning, this will show with time and be seen that you have acquired up to a certain extent some required knowledge about the forum and bitcoin, learning is what we value most here because that has been the same route that brought us all to where we are today.

What are you trying to say OP? You have already made it clear that you know things that goes on in the Forum but you're hiding under the umbrella of a newbie. To me nothing is confusing to you, these days the questions we get is very funny.
If you know the country you're from you stick to the board of your country and I believe you won't start posting on another LB that's not yours. I also feel the person that introduce you to Bitcointalk has already showed you things on the Forum so no need to feel lost.

Before anything, I'd like to welcome OP in the forum, hopefully you're not discouraged by the advises of our enthusiastic veteran forum users, there's a shortage for new people so we're all too eager to help you out, my suggestion for you, just take your time to explore the different boards of the forum, and follow the advice of sticking to your local language board too, that's going to help you a lot even more than just aimlessly exploring. I wouldn't really want OP to have this as their only reason to be in the forum, it's a really weird thing to say to a newbie but on one side I do agree that there's ways to make money here but it's a conflicting thing, it's probably in your best interest that you should be advising on other things, let OP discover this on their own, that way they're not overwhelmed by what they have to learn which is sometimes the thing that discourages most newbies into digging deeper because there's so much to learn all at once.

It doesn't necessarily mean that we are to learn everything here in the forum, just pick the important ones and as time progresses if you feel like expanding your knowledge, it your decision to make. But it's preferred that we try as much as we can to understand more so that, when the time of application comes, we'll be able to ditch out from our knowledge. The more you know, the more flexible you become in solving problems and helping others out. I have always love to study more complex parts of crypto network, like programming but, due to my tight schedule I have not been able to learn, but I believe once I change I
My routine, I'll go for more knowledge.

This forum is relatively easy for a newbie as each topic is included in separate sections so a new member can easily find out which section they are looking for or which section a new member is posting in. Before I post this many people have already shared some primary section of the forum through their posts so I didn't share the same link again. You can post various informative posts as well as share your own views by accessing the links that other members have shared with you and there are many other sections in the forum besides these links that you can visit in your interest. If clicking on other sections of the forum will not deduct your money, dare to click on other sections and try to see them, it will increase your knowledge.

You are welcome to this forum, earning here in the forum is really easy if you stick to forum rules, you won't have any complications learning here. So I advise you take the forum rules serious as breaking any of them can lead to DT member giving you a tag a that can be the end of the reputation of your account. To succeed knowledge from here, you just need to stay on tack, read and if you encounter any complications along the way, asked questions, and we'll be ready to help at any time. E joy your days here in this forum.

Welcome to the Bitcoin Forum. First of all don't be disappointed when entering a new place everything may feel uneasy for the first few days, everything may seem complicated. If you give enough time to the forum everything will become easy for you. Try to master all the guidelines already given to you by the rules and regulations of the forum. Stay with the board no problem but show your talent everywhere else. Being on a forum requires a lot of patience and time. The most important thing is never to cheat here, if you try to cheat you will not survive here. Anyway, I wish you all the best for the coming days on the forum.

Welcome to the forum mate,  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/newbies-read-before-posting-1689727 you will get your answers there.
Thank you buddy for sharing this link.
We're a community, an organization doesn't sound good IMO.

Thanks for letting me know, what is the meaning of IMO?
Thank you for sharing the link to the rules and guidelines for the forum, I find the posting etiquettes really interesting, a bit difficult to comprehend but yet educating.
I have also wondered why users have different positions (rank) but now I know how it works.

Everyone; thanks for the help and tips.

Welcome to the Bitcoin Forum. Here many of have given important links from there you can enter and see everything and can do it your way. Don't just stick to your local board, of course you have the right to post in all sections. But always stick to the forum with something good don't give something where the forum will suffer a lot. If your post is very important and likeable then you can earn merit. But remember if you can spend more time and create important posts then you can build the rank as per your expectations. Finally I want to tell you never try to cheat here if you try to cheat you will end yourself

Hello dear, I encountered such experience when I joined the forum but with the advise I got from the senior ranking members I was able to attain the rank I'm in currently and I believe if you follow the advise you'll get in this thread trust me you'll find it very easy being in this space. First off, you should know your purpose of being here, the forum is a very big space where you can learn and also impact knowledge on others while in your learning process and I must say that the best place to learn about the forum is the beginners and help board.

There you'll be able to get the vital informations you'll need to know about the forum, you'll be thought of how to find your way in this space, over there you could also get the rules and regulations of the forum and if you take note of them carefully, then you'll be good to go. Yes you have to stick to your national board, you don't have to encroach another countries board, over there in your national board you could also seek help from your compatriots and they'll help you find your way in this space.

Also in this space, patience is virtue, do not be in a hurry to jump into different spaces when you've not mastered the rules and regulations, you could get yourself banned if you're in a rush to learn everything, so take your time, study  the forum and learn from senior ranking members. Also, I'll leave you a link concerning an opinion from a senior ranking member, which is one of my motivation in this space, here is it.

this place is also like an organization right?
That's is absolutely false. It is not an organization; here members come for discussion like it is a forum not an organization or methodize place it is a forum and here people are together to raise awareness of the Bitcoin or crypto industry in the form of a community.

And in every organization there are rules, do's and don't's guiding the organization right?

You're right, here they are.
Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/unofficial-list-of-official-bitcointalkorg-rules-guidelines-faq-703657
Yep OP it's a true that the Forum has its own rules, dos and don'ts. And it is to our advantage that everyone can express their opinion under these rules in a good way because the rule is a code of conduct on which the community is based. That is, it is necessary to have a rule to be united, so the rule has been introduced to make the forum a community, which is the first step for every individual to become a part of the community.

So the forum is based on the principle of do this and don't do that.
