Hi thanks for commenting. Yes I took this in to consideration.

A lot of petition websites ask for home address etc which is big no for me. I specifically used ipetition as it only requires a name and an email address. You have the option to not display your name publically in list if privacy is a concern. Also ipetition will not use your email for 3rd parties only petition updates if you select option.

Thank you for asking this as I should of made this clear previously.

I think there is some weird issue with people in the US not wanting to sign petitions about bitcoin because they (absurdly) think that if they do, then they will get "noticed" and be more likely to come under scrutiny for not paying taxes on their bitcoin earnings (which they should just be doing anyways but that's a whole separate issue...)

Spreadshirt had sales of over $95M globally in 2013 with orders from 200 countries.

I assure you if we push and are successful in completing the petition it will make a difference to Bitcoin. I'm sure their rivals Cafepress, Zazzle, Redbubble, Design By Humans, Threadless will all stand up and take note.

It is a win win situation.

Amazon are also starting to sound more bullish on implementing Bitcoin so lets add to the pressure.

People, this is good news for Bitcoin. I'm sure the media coverage will be also be beneficial.

I know some may think great what is Spreadshirt going to do for Bitcoin. Cool

Spreadshirt alone has a total of 72,000 sellers. So yes this is good news for Bitcoin if we can get the signatures it will hopefully encourage other online retailers to follow.

But if the petition was for:
Overstock.com
Virgin Galactic
Zynga
Tigerdirect

Would your reaction be the same. We have an open invitation here from the CEO so lets make the most of it.

If we can come together as a community and this preoves successful, we can use this as a platform for catching bigger fish.

For those of you unfamiliar with Spreadshirt, they are a multi-national online retailer operating in 17 countries with a world-wide market.

Recently the CEO Philip Rooke on the 28th of March 2014 stated:

"I receive hundreds of requests a month from consumers and our ecommerce platform sellers wanting Amazon checkout and payment. We have yet to have one for Bitcoin. If Bitcoin is not mass market then it will be of little use to ecommerce retailers and platforms. The internet is a funny place however, where new ideas do catch on.
