As best as I can tell, your private key was encrypted by you, on your browser.

According to their website:  "Encryption is done in the browser before your Bitcoin keys are saved on our servers."

So at some point, I'd think you'd have to have set the password for the encryption.  In an earlier post, you wrote that Strongcoin encrypted your private key without your permission, but that doesn't seem to be how it works.  Whatever the password is, it looks like you set it, so try some the common passwords you use ... like whatever you use to log into their website.

I think it is safe to say there is not a person on this planet that can help you get to this encrypted key with out you already knowing most of the password.  Shocked

The revolution will be monetized!
Here is the funny thing: when I say: 'your key in on that website' - a thousand idiot keep coming to tell me that it isn't.  They just can't bear to accept that their key is so easily found.  ...
So what? It in no way allows control of anyones bitcoin. It is just a list of possible private keys. For example I don't know your phone number, but I could write down all possible 10 digit phone numbers. Would I know your number then? Well... It would be on my list, but so what?

They just can't accept the fact that the website cited has published everyone's key.
- snip -

That depends on what you mean by "published".

If I have an idea for a book, but I haven't written it down yet and nobody has seen any of the words yet, is the book "published"?

If I write a computer program that can generate all possible arrangements of english words on a single page, and the particular arrangement is mathematically chosen based on the page number given, have I "published" every book that will ever be written?  Even if nobody ever chooses to generate any pages with my program at all?

It might be a bit more accurate to say that the website cited can publish any key (given the correct page number), but hasn't yet published 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of the keys.

ALL THE KEYS ARE PROVIDED!!!!

Again, they aren't provided until you request them.  It might be more accurate to say that ANY KEY CAN BE PROVIDED (given the correct page number).

Sorry, but I stand firm.
ALL THE KEYS ARE PROVIDED!!!!

However, it might be a slight technical improvement to say:
ALL THE KEYS ARE PROVIDED - by way of calculation means.

Either way, it is 100% accurate to simply say: all the keys are provided.

Here is the funny thing: when I say: 'your key in on that website' - a thousand idiot keep coming to tell me that it isn't.  They just can't bear to accept that their key is so easily found.  It crushes small men.  ...and they keep coming back with more argument as to why I am wrong.  Like - 'well, it isn't published yet...'; 'well, the keys are not stored on the site'.  lol, that one makes me laugh.  As if the keys were 'stored' it would somehow be a problem.

plus it only goes from 5hp to 5km

meaning its missing out on alot but will still take you decades to check all the addresses it calculates when you change pages

Valid ECDSA private keys on the Secp256k1 curve (the curve that bitcoin uses) are in the range (as represented in hexadecimal) of:
0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001
to
0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFEBAAEDCE6AF48A03BBFD25E8CD0364140

Converted to WIF (Wallet Import Format) this results in base58check values of:
5HpHagT65TZzG1PH3CSu63k8DbpvD8s5ip4nEB3kEsreAnchuDf
to
5Km2kuu7vtFDPpxywn4u3NLpbr5jKpTB3jsuDU2KYEqetqj84qw

That's it, the entire range.  That's ALL the possible standard bitcoin private keys.

As far as I can tell, the website provided calculates any valid bitcoin private key value as long as you give it the correct page.

Of course, if you already know the private key (or page), then you don't need the website.  The website is NOT able to tell you the private key when all you know is an address that was generated from a randomly generated private key or seed.  If you happen to be using a VERY poorly generated private key, then there's a chance you could find it, but I doubt strongcoin is using non-random keys.

Thanks for that Danny -
I've got all these god-damned geniuses telling all sorts of shit.  Being right all the time is not easy.  Some fucktard comes along and starts arguing until his brain hurts.  They just can't accept the fact that the website cited has published everyone's key.  They get all giddy and stupid and think of every reason why it can't be so.  However, their silly argument never changes the fact that:

ALL THE KEYS ARE PROVIDED!!!!

had been used to inspire fake worry/doomsday.

'satire' - not so much.
'fake'? - not even.  It's all real baby.  Real worry and real doomsday.  If that is how people feel when they learn the website has their keys, then they are just going to have to suffer with it.  But it is all real.

I think if you summoned all the computers in the world you would find your private key in  billions of years.

lol - dumbass!

No problem my friend, your private key is right here:  All Bitcoin Private Keys Here

Just go on that site, find your address, and voila! your key will be right next to it.  Easy.

I doubt if anyone are going to even attempt to assist you in a meaning full way, for a $3 reward. The problem is, most people will try to scam

you, if you make it a significant amount. They will milk you for information and if they are lucky... they might figure out a way to extract the

info needed from your browser. You have no guarantee that they will not use the private key to get to your bitcoins, and not for the reward.

DannyHamilton can be trusted, so I would follow his advice for now. Good luck..  Sad

Franky, you are such a buzzkill.  wtf?  I didn't say they are 'stored' there.  I said they are 'there', if by storage or by calculation, they are there.  That is what I said, 'they are there'; and they are there.

not all keys are 'there',
but sorry to ruin your joke. even when your previous satire had been used to inspire fake worry/doomsday. its best to nip it in the bud. just to keep the topic right.

as for the OP question i hope my first post about the script that strongcoin used is helpful. even if its not available on their blogsite anymore.

by the way not every key is there
it doesnt have all keys stored. it just converts the page number into keys when you go to the page.
so its a live privkey->public address calculator. not a store.

seems you can manually decrypt it using their script. though strongcoin seems to have dropped its own blog/support. google seems to note other locations to download the script

have a read of one good result i found in 20 seconds.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Jobs4Bitcoins/comments/1diadj/hiring_explain_to_me_how_to_use_command_line_to/

basically it says download the script.
save the ENTIRE 'signature' (the one you mentioned earlier starting and ending: U2Fsd...PbjKQ=) to a txt file called key.txt
then run the command
    openssl enc -d -aes-256-cbc -in key.txt -a -k password

Where you substitute the 'password' at the end of the line for the password you want to try.

seems it worked for that person but i have not personally checked it myself nor do i require any funds if it is the solution. just hope it helps

it was the strong coin site who encrypted it. i donot know why only them do not allow u to transfer funds from my acc. are strong[Suspicious link removed]d guys bcos wht is happening to me is like they want to steal my funds.

The way strongcoin works is that a program downloads into your web browser when you log into their website.  That program uses your password to encrypt the keys in your browser on your computer, and only sends the encrypted keys to strongcoin.  Since they are encrypted, strongcoin does not have the ability to take, spend, or steal your bitcoins.  They also don't have the ability to get them back for you.  They don't store your passphrase on their system, so they can't decrypt the keys. The only way to decrypt the keys is to know (or figure out) what the passphrase is.

If you forgot the passphrase, then there are three possibilities:

1.  You chose a really weak passphrase, and you or someone else will be able to break the encryption with brute force by trying all possibilites
2. You chose a strong passphrase, and the ONLY way to break the encryption is for you to remember enough information about your passphrase.
3. You chose a strong passphrase, and you will be unable to remember anything about it.  The bitcoins are gone forever.

this problem is from strongcoin website.  I ca not transfer funds from my account and is asking for private keys but it was the strongcoin site encrypted this in a paper wallet. and they are saying they dont know the password . but i did not signup with any private keys now im trying to import it to blockchain it does not work it is still asking for private keys to import my coins. i have a lot there in strongcoin. plz help me decode thjis encrypted private keys to get my real private keys . i will pay you if can help me.

First of all, it is probably a bad idea to be posting the encrypted key in the public like that.  If an untrustworthy individual managed to guess the encryption passphrase, they can and will steal your bitcoins.

Secondly, you should be VERY careful about anyone that contacts your through private messaging. They might be trying to trick you into giving them enough information to decrypt your key and steal all your bitcoins.

That being said...

Since you used strongcoin, the key would have been encrypted in your browser before it was sent to strongcoin. Therefore, it is likely that whatever passphrase you used to log into the strongcoin website is ALSO the passphrase needed to decrypt the key.  Do you know the passphrase that you used to log into the strongcoin website?
