seems too low hashes for 1080 ti (640 sols?)...i think i may get the my 1080 here stable at ~590-600 sols

using EWBF here, not NiceHash Excavator

I think this is the founder edition and no oc..

Some advice on Zec. The cap is small and nvidia could pump the coin easy to sell the 1080ti.

So buying some Zec could be wise

Yeah and it is about max hash per. Watt

So trying to find max hash was not what they were trying to do.

Still 600 h at 200 watts is very good.

Also only one slot.

My pandaminer would do around 2200 to 2300 using 1100 watts.

Three of these should do about 2000 h at 700 watts

Price would be lower the the older b1 pandaminer

got my ASUS ROG STRIX-GTX1080-A8G-GAMING

OC to 2000 core and 5000 ram...getting only ~560 sols, driver 375.95, EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner 0.3.3b

zotac 1080 AMP extreme is coming by tomorrow.

I was expecting ~600 sols..

still looking for best drivers and settings, tweaks..

maybe that zotac will be my last 1080...will try 1080ti ~700+ sols is far from ~560 sols

yeah the 1080 ti  seems to be a lot better

11/8 = 1.375   x 560 = 770

the max  I have seen for a 1080 ti was 746 on the youtube link.

looks like it is simply a case of more ram  11 gb for the the 1080ti  vs 8gb for the 1080

I am going to slowly add up to four cards  over the next 2 months or so.

playing with asus OC..i was able to see instances of ~590-600 sols but stability has not been tested yet...

zotac amp extreme has a higher factory clock and bigger cooler...might get stable at 600 sols minimum.

anyway it's nice trying nvidia and seeing huge hashes for a single card Cheesy.... excited to try 1080 ti..

we are at the same phase..will add slowly 1080 ti in 2 months..1080 ti's are quite expensive (that makes the upgrade a bit slow)

then you should wait  as the 1080 ti  can do well over 700 h

or on a low clock 600 and 200 watts.

I do have the

msi red led on auto notify---------  I like the rx 480 versions of it. I have 9
asus strix 3 fan on auto notify---- I like the rx 480 version of  it.  I have 6

I have 2 empty boards  waiting for cards.  If I were to get 5 1080 ti's  they would be close to 3500h

You mean those Red LEDs ?

No Sir, i dont know them . I have 5 rigs of 7 GPUs RX480 Gaming X , Best RX GPU . I have had 40 Nitro's 470 Upgraded to 480 MSI X. Better than 480 Nitro+ , better than RX480 Devil , and better than Strix and XFX.

Try to Hunt Evga GPUs , Best customer support and RMA service .

Personally i am limited to Amazon since it is the only store that ships to Egypt and pay all the customs and tax and in advance and deliver to your door step without headache .
Currently amazon options = none .

Actually I also think that it's about time to run Nvidia gpu in the daily usage rig, I have a farm with 41 RX gpu and another one with 17 GPU.
My daily rig at home running Dual RX480 all GPUs already ROI'd so it is not bad to test the other camp, not sure if I should do dual 1070 or single 1080.

go big  get the 1080 ti Grin

I love the idea of having that top dog inside my gaming rig especially since it is paying for it self so I can justify the price, however I can't justify spending big box for reference cooling, in a week or two there will be better offerings with 30-50$ more

Interesting ... I was thinking I have enough RX470 cards ... and maybe time for a little Nvidia mining.

They're quite a price, but also have good resale value, will be interested to see what you get out of it when it's up and running.

I purchased this one today

https://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php?name=ZT-G1080TF

cost me 720  and I get a very small discount of 14 so 706 net.

If I down clock  a one card rig at the wall should be 200 watts or less  doing 600 hash.

I have 16 rx 480's  doing about 4500 hash and about 2250 watts

and 2 rx 480's in 1 rig at the solar array

so   3 h to 1 watt =  nvidia
and 2 h to 1 watt = amd

I won't go all nvidia  but I think adding two two card rigs is a no brainer

You need to understand  I have 7 mobos running

I have 2 idle mobos fully ready.

Most people are not going  to build a two card rig from scratch.  I am building not building 2 card rigs

I had 11 four card rigs  I sold off all my rx 470's  leaving me with 18 rx 480 8gb cards using 8 rigs  and 3 empty mobos  ready for cards.

I am assembling a 1080 rig...will post info here about my findings

Thanks  I am debating to buy this one now

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137069

then add this one

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137113

if that 1080ti is already here in my country i would buy it....the 1080ti founders here is more expensive than that MSI 1080 ti (all 1080ti's here are still founders edition.)

I'm going for Zotac 1080 amp extreme. my judgement is based from that card having better (huge) cooler and higher clocks.

also gonna try for ASUS ROG STRIX-GTX1080-A8G-GAMING..(it is on its way thru shipping, just bought one)

manufacturers have different 1080s and they have different clocks.

after building a 1080 rig, if i'm satisfied with nvidia I'll build another rig for 1080 ti..

i think if you can go for 1080ti instead of 1080 rig..they are both GDDRX5 and the margin of performance between 1080 and 1080ti justifies the price(huge enough)....unlike the 390 and 390x price back then.

I have  these two on notify:

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814126186

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137113

2 of these cards  should get me 1200 hash  on moderate settings

4 rx 480's  8gb  do 1200 hash  which is  4 slots vs 2

price is about 1500 nvidia  vs 1000 amd

power is about 400 nvidia vs   600 amd  not sure about this figure

1080 ti founders can hit 700 plus hash(i think i read it in 1080 vs 1080ti thread), these 1080 ti have higher clocks so at moderate settings, maybe it stays at 700 hash at least..that would be 1400 hash for 2..power and space wise, i think it is a win win

found a 1080 ti here...gigabyte aorus 1080 ti extreme edition which is about $120 more expensive than the 1080 ti's you mentioned...I might try one.

if i can suggest you one brand, buy palit super jet stream, they are the best one, fabulous cooling and very silent, also hash faster than other with same setting(core clock go higher), thanks to an additional 10watt

unfortunately they cost a little more than the average

I know you're looking for more specific information as far as specific brand an oc settings of each 1080 or 1080ti card but Nichhash has a nice little calculator with generic cards and numbers.
