For me, I don't consider this an incentive it's just prop to encourage or attract the community to answer the survey.

Hm, both are synonymous to me since incentive is defined as "something that incites or has a tendency to incite to determination or action" as well. In this case, it's the chance to win 500 bucks.

I hope the distribution of prizes changes; it would be great if it's not just one person who wins. It would be ideal if the winners could be divided into five, so that more people would be happy to win. Right?

Agreed!

Only one person wins the award. It's too late to change the draw rules again (many people have answered the survey with the current expectations). The monetary reward is indeed there, because otherwise no one would respond to our survey (originally tested with the smaller reward).

You could try to solicit opinions from participants but I'm not sure if you have the time for that lol which would be understandable.

PS: good luck to everyone who participated! ✌

We would like to thank everyone for your participation.

The raffle will close at 18:00 (GMT), after which you are still welcome to answer the survey, but you will not be added to the draw list.

AB de Royse777 (Escrow) will soon make a new post about the next steps regarding the draw.

It is nice to see that the gambling industry is getting recognition globally coupled with the fact that the education sector is conducting a survey which invariably means that a research is going on about the Crypto online gambling as the topic of the thread says. I will commend your efforts because I know what it takes to get to this point of research when it ha to do with students involved in such a research. Giving you an honest answer or reply is of utmost importance to your research as that would help you get proper data as it relates to the objectives of your research. I will be of help to take part in your survey.

This research is extremely strategic to develop and widen the gambling sector with more good results of popularity, I so much rely that the outcome will be of greater impact to the gambling.

Though the attached reward it may look small but it's very motivating as it will help and enhance getting good results because people believe of receiving of rewards for sacrifice of their time spend on any thing they do.

Am not underestimating your capacity of giving up to $500 as reward to winner on this, but I consider it more of a project research work which shouldn't involve money to earn since it's not like a normal contest everyone will take his time in applying to be eligible for win, I may be wrong though, but we have to offer things that will go far beyond the reasonable doubts of other people concerned, and if it's as exactly how being said, then I give applaud to their efforts and contributions towards this research.

I'm not sure I understand your point, are you perhaps against incentivizing research participation? I think it has its pros and cons which makes it a very debatable topic.

In any case, I doubt OP would reach this many submissions at the same time frame if there was no incentive. No incentive does not necessarily mean no one will be filling out lazy ass answers either though you could say, with-incentive participation is more susceptible to abuse like multi-accounting. For starters, op may wanna reconsider entries from low ranks 🤔 -- including on other forums as well e.g. altcoinstalks

For me, I don't consider this an incentive it's just prop to encourage or attract the community to answer the survey. It's true that without this raffle or prize, likely no one would participate or respond to the survey. Just completed the survey which I thought was interesting and I must say that the raffle amount is pretty generous for just a 4 minute survey. This whole decentralised crypto stuff keeps becoming a bigger and bigger deal with time.

Funny thing is that most crypto gambling sites are actually centralised these days thanks to government regulations while only a few are 100% decentralised.

These a welcome development I think this research will help and make the listed area very lucrative. What are the qualifications for participating on this very research as I would have love to be a part of it, if gather idea to contribute.

Thank you for the kind words. More info details about the survey are written on the post in Games and Rounds section. To enter the raffle you only need to answer the survey.

Only 10 days until the draw (April 4th). Chances of winning the $500 prize are quite high (right now there are less than 100 responses).
I hope you will consider one of the recommendations regarding changing the prize. And hopefully the raffle draw won't be rescheduled or extended again unless the prizes increase once more. If the prize increases again, perhaps we should stick to the original schedule for the draw and then create another one for the additional prize. Anyway, still thankful for the contest.

We are happy to announce that the raffle reward has been raised to $500 in BTC!

This is made possible by our new partnership with Dapp Casino (https://dappcasino.io/). Dapp Casino is a specialized platform focusing on the evaluation and ranking of decentralized gambling establishments. The bigger prize will hopefully boost survey participation. This partnership does not impact the content or integrity of this research project.

Congrats on finding a sponsor, op!

BTW, what do you think of splitting the prize pool so more people could win? I think this can be attractive as well since folks will have more chances to win a spot. TBH, even 100 bucks is a pretty sweet deal to me.

You could divide the prize pool equally based on the number of winning spots you want or have a tiered winners where prizes descends e.g. 1st place, 2nd place, etc.
Very nice to see you have got a sponsor. I'm sure when the prize was under $50 you didn't get as much attention as you will now. I'm with potato chips on giving more a chance to win, you might get even more participants if they feel they have a shot at winning something. Good luck!!!
