A ) I said if I had 240 I would use the boards and not solder.
B ) I have a gas dryer a gas oven.
C ) I have a circuit that I can convert to 240 volts and I know how to do it. Just lazy.

 I also have drawn the conclusion that this winter passing is the end of my  6kwatt mining in house setup So I won't need to convert  that circuit back to 240 volt.

No connection to any board is as sturdy  as a connection to those grounding bars and the shame of it is.
 a simple breakout board that would have allowed easy hook up to grounding bars  would be safer.

Since the psu would be rock solid along with the grounding bars. Knock an s-5 off of  a shelf or an sp20 off  of a shelf  and your breakout board takes a hard hit.

Knock the same miner of a shelf and those grounding bars are rock solid with 0 stress to a rock solid mount psu.

A psu with 2500 plus watts.

As soon as you do decide to wire up that 240V circuit, let me know and I will send you a test unit.  You'll be surprised at how sturdy the boards are when assembled.

I agree about the winter ending, my 12kW of hardware is about to become a lot warmer, and more expensive...

I know from experience how warm the terminals on a DPS2K can get when drawing full power through all EIGHT power blades. You're drawing how much power through four? I would not recommend what you are doing there, nor would I trust it to not be a fire risk.

Agreed. Why only use half of the available pins? Clean setup, though.

Yes I am aware of this,  but you can only connect 12 wires total using these.  You need 22 wires to full use this PSU for miners like S5's

Unless you philipma's method.

this conectors(only yellow and full insulated) will be mounted on 6MM cable, and on that cable i will conect the 4 PCI cables(16 cables), i done that whit some 2000W PSU and they work great

I think he is better off with the breakout boards.

Hell my ground bar method  and the breakout board would be best.

100 % stress relief on the breakout board is poosible.

 attach the psu to the mounting board.

attach the break out board to the psu and the ground bars with this.

Yeah I am not going to do the solder job with my 58 year older double cataract surgery. I had this made up to attach 8 pcie cables.

Flat out I can tell you the ground bars are better then any other method to attach pcie cables.

I don't solder I use breakout boards and grounding bars

those were what I have on hand.  they are small grounding bars 13 holes.  these were done with gridseed blades and were great. then modded to do avalon 4.1

  

the link I gave has 27 holes per ground bar at 7 bucks each.  

so 14 bucks for 2 ground bars.

  If he has mad dog solder skills the psu never moves on the mount board and the grounding bars are rock solid.  Only issue is pcie cables.

But if I had 240 watt power I would just buy your breakout board and be done with it.  

Sorry Philip, but I guess you just haven't tried the double-sided PCI-e boards like J4bberwock's yet.  It is infinitely better than any other solution (including the grounding bars) because it is quick to connect, easily moved around/changed, and secure, unlike any of the screw-down terminals.  And for the amount of space your mounting solution is taking up, you could just as easily run a 2880W PSU!

Everyone has 240V, it's just convincing your wife to go eco-friendly and air dry all the laundry so you can instead burn up the power with a miner. Smiley

You actually have 1 breakout board and 2 grounding bars in this picture.

A 2880w platinum "kit" will cost you 70$ for the breakout board (less if you need more), 50-60$ for the PSU, and up to 20 cables.
Let's even round it to 200$ all inclusive for something easy to setup.

If it was for a smaller PSU, around 1000w with only 4 PCI-E cables needed, I'd say "why not", but I'd advise you to read what was written by the guy who did direct solder the cables on this PSU:

I like that, that's some out of the box thinking there.  Why the blue C13 cable are you opposed to the standard black color?

i manage to find out input conf, pin 1 and 3 are phases and pin 2 is gorund

input is important the rest its easy to figure out, a friend said that no 3 pin is ground and 1 and 2 are the phases, its corect?
