wah very unfortunate selling account hero / legendary how long tu to reach to that level. but maybe they've thought about it well maybe they've got a lot of money too.
But the amount they can get when they paid in selling it can last,it can spend nce and they will not bring it back, unlike joining in some campaigns which paid high can be their continuos source of income, well it's still depend on their situatins.

In my insight,  people intended to make multiple account.  Its either for them to earn money in different signature or sell their account in much higher price.  They just lucky to start early and create accounts.

I am really feeling sad that people are doing this  Embarrassed  kind of things to make money. How can they sell their public profile, in which they have done tons of hardwork and invested big time in it. Actually the problem is that people are not taking taking this Forum seriously and they just want to earn some money for their account, they forget the long term benefits which is really important for everyone to know. I hope this will slow down soon in future, by creating some strict rules and regulations.

I'm a memebre and I participated until now in 2 signature campaigns. In my opinion many signature campaigns do not pay sufficient to make a living out of participating each day in the bitcointalk discussions. What I earned was between 6-10 USD/week, and I had to paricipate every day in 3-5 discussions. From what I have  read, when you are a hero or Legenday member you do not make more than 200-400 each month by participating in these signature campaigns. Let's say the price of bitcoin remains unchanged. 400 USD/month in Europe is barely sufficient to survive. If you do not have a job, you can say goodbye to bitcointalk after 6-12 months of participating in discussions here. This is 1-2 hours of daily disccussions with many people of different opinions and nationalities.

This is why in my opinion some people sell hero and legendary accounts. They do not earn sufficient to make it worth. A job that pays in bitcoin is better.

I dont think soo that this would be the reason why those high rank accounts have been sold out.I dont believe true owners would sell out their account specially if they are already on those high ranks.I would rather believe that those accounts have been sold out are those who are being farmed and do have potential activity that regards to Hero or even higher. This thing is not tolerable on this forum but yet there are people who do keep on buying accounts for the sake of signature campaigns. If you do join up 1 account it wont really be sufficient but joining your 10x account will surely make you a living. This is the reality happening on this forum.

People are only buying hero and legendary accounts to make profit from signature campaigns, but i dont like how the system is working right now, i mean, signature campaigns are being su abussed at the moment, and this is because everybody wants quick money.
A random guy offered me 0.10 bitcoins for my account (it is hero atm) and i declined it, i spent so much time in trying to grow this account, and when it reachs legendary rank, it is going to be one of my biggest goals.

I intend to do Bitcoin long term. In fact, I hope to make full time income off it. I see cryptocurrencies as high prospect.

Now, why do people sell Hero and Legendary accounts?

How much do you make just on this forum with such accounts on signature campaigns ONLY?

Thank you for your inputs.

The Hero/Legendary account sale amazes me too. It is quite surprising seeing high ranking members sell account for peanut after spending so much valuable time on the forum. Could well be hacked accounts though. Seen lots of disturbing complaints these days about account being hacked and used for signature campaigns

Well speaking about alt-Accounts yes there are many users who make many many accounts and nobody does anything because there is no rule that you can not make those. The only rule here is you can not use multiple accounts in a single campaign.  People get paid according to the signature campaign payout which you can see on the campaign thread.as I have a hero account and I earn a decent income to survive on my internet packs so I do not need any additional accounts. Now people sell them because people pay a good price depending on the accounts potential or according to the rank.
Isn't it hard to sell such account with such a high rank? I mean it takes quite long time and hard work Of course to take your account to a hero and a legendary position, then how do people make their mind to sell their account?
For me it is quite unbelievable and honestly I can't even think of my account to sell. After a long hectic day when I look at the number of posts and number of activities I get motivated to take my account to the higher position, to earn a reasonable amount from the signature campaign. Though I am happy with my current earning at this stage but I am looking forward for increased earnings in the future with a high rank.

Selling a high level account can be a high pay-off and people may be desperate for cash or they may simply not have any use for the account anymore. I think such a level account fetches somewhere around 0.1 BTC.

sig campaigns are stupid, nobody reads them, nobody clicks on them...nobody cares

when I see a post by someone with a paid sig I actually subconsciously value their thoughts lower because I know they are just padding up their post count
Does this mean that the manager/dev posting some sig campaigns are stupid too? Anyway, it is their life, their choices, their campaign so let them live like that. In fact you couldn't do anything about it of whatever they're wanted to in their life. Cheers!  Grin
I think that you do not need to evaluate all in a row by one Merke. The fact is that there are people who appreciate the forum and communication. Here, and the fact that the signature of the company gives an opportunity to earn, it is a pleasant addition to communication.

You never really know the reason why people are selling their accounts. Maybe it was just another alt of theirs or they weren't active on the forum anymore or they just were in the need of some quick money. I personally would never sell my account like that. Bitcointalk has become a part of my day now and I'm very keen on growing my account, it isn't even about the money you could possibly earn from it.
Being a senior member or above, you can make some nice pocket money. If you look at the rates in signature campaigns today payouts range form 0.012-0.035 BTC per week (70$-200$ right now), that's not bad at all. Not worth selling IMO, especially if crypto keeps gaining more popularity.

I only have one account and it so hard for me to finish a single weekly campaign stake because I have a work and I can only do the postings at home.
I wonder how others manage their time to make additional accounts.
I have just joined 8 sig campaigns so far and 2 from these are scams. Yes the good ones pays a lot.

I agree, if you have steady job its impossibe to be all day at the forum and you have to make significant effort for posting. Probably people who have multiple accounts and manage them successfuly don't have many other obligations.
Geting a hero or legendary rank it's not easy and it takes time and efforts so I wouldn't sell it so easily and just for the few satoshies. Because of farming accounts the genuine ones have lost their value.

Thank you for your inputs.

They sell Hero,Legendary or any other rank account for several reasons.,First is that they need money and you can get very nice price for good account these days. Some make nice business of that and they made many accounts years ago,now they sell them.Considering that is take years to become Hero or Legendary, these account are always in demand.

Depending on the campaign user can earn up to 0.04 per week(Fortune Jack) and this is really great amount of money.Hero and Legendary members are usually paid from 0.015 to 0.03 BTC per week. This is nice extra money if you can be active and make constructive and quality post.

Check here for all campaigns : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.380

Interesting... so folks just create these accounts to sell them. How long does it take to become a Hero or Legendary?

As an Hero Member, I would never sell my account, unless the offer was ridiculously high, no way im selling it. I've put way too much time on this forum, learning, posting, trading and meeting cool smart people. The offer would need to be huge for me to want to see someone else that isn't me posting with my nickname.

The activity points to reach Hero take more than one year (480 points). The activity points to reach Legendary take an insane amount of time, ranging from a random number comprised between 775 and 1030, so soon I will be on that range. Like I said, no way im selling it.

Don't expect to make much from sig campaigns. They are a positive thing because they raise the economic activity on Bitcoin by spreading to amongst users here, but in order to reach even half minimum wage (in a first world country) you would need to post so many posts a day that your account would get banned, and it's not worth getting banned for that. I barely even meet minimum post requirements to get paid in campaigns because I just post whenever I feel like and can't be arsed to post if I don't feel to, would rather get a real job.

Sure I can see how third world country people can make more money here than in some exploitative job and I can't blame them to try to get BTC here, but unfortunately these guys can't barely speak english and they end up getting banned.

Selling of accounts really need to be prohibited in the forum, there are so many users who are buying tons of them only for using them to drain all the signature campaign's funds, it is horrible to see that there are dozens of users from only one person.
And their posts are usually a shit posting with no more than a line, what a shame, i dont know why people is still able to sell them and buy them.
And now, i saw your-self as sh*t.  I just trying to research about how you did here and contribution for these forum. I'm only see, you only given an opinions then go leave. No Quote, No Communications, No reply abouy your opinions. Those your posting only show, I'm able to speaking with a lot words. and means as nothing, that's worse than line 1 line poster  Tongue

It is in the rules that it is prohibited to sell an account. ? It's better not to sell an account if potential is high when your account ranks high on your internet expenses. If no one sells an account maybe there is no scam and no hack.

What are you saying? it is not prohibited to sell an account actually there are tons of users that are selling some account that are potential in turning into Hero of legendary that is the most common goal for some but I think right now it is simply not a thing anymore, well at some point some are using their Altcoin in scamming certain individuals but in terms of hacking you don't need multiple account to hack a wallet you just need skills.
