Start doing KYC to those you are going to loan to and see if that stops the exits from happening. It's unreal how many have screwed you over lately.
I don't think that will stop anything. They can bring fake ID and show it to him. @shasan, I lost my feelings after seeing so many loan defaults from you. It's now a regular thing that every other week we will see a topic from you about your loss. I hope it stops soon.
Yea i know, and you are right, every week we see a new defaulter for him.

@shasan this isn't a permanent fix but you could have borrowers defer their sig campaign payments to you until their loan is paid in full. Not sure if the managers will do that for you and the borrower and it doesn't stop them from leaving the campaign and just saying fuck you, but as least you won't be waiting over a year to find out if they're fucking you.

Seems like you have had your share of unlucky incidents involving scammers loaning money from you and defaulting on their obligations. Perhaps it's time to be a bit more strict regarding collateral and/or turning down some users who you aren't sure about. It might be easier said then done, though. Some high-ranked members who have decided to leave the forum could use a service like yours to take a non collateral loan and simply vanish soon after.
I think some are using his loans as a way of exiting the forum. Like "I am leaving the forum for good but let me get no collateral loan from Shasan, let me milk this account one more last time"
If you deeply think about it, it appears as though they are selling their high ranking accounts to the lender before they exit.

I do think you believe in karma and these will come back to you but to them that did it intentionally, good luck to how the world will retaliate on them.
Well, there are so many people who do not believe in that, and IMO the most important thing is to control things within your power, and that's through mitigating the losses, but the OP has clearly stated that he wants to continue with his lending business.
So I think his business is operating dangerously close to losses.
I think so too, so many people are not upright, and if they have an active loan and see no signature campaign forthcoming, they'll leave the forum and never come back.

Still, I want to continue as many people who need the money and my lending service helped them.
Mad respect to you shasan. You've been defaulted many times and it seems that there's a pattern to these defaulters. I hope that it will be lessened in the near future or totally eradicated and add some more restrictions to your process of lending. With all of the amounts that were gone to you, I do think you believe in karma and these will come back to you but to them that did it intentionally, good luck to how the world will retaliate on them.

You've become addicted to it, isn't it?
I wonder if you're not treating this as gambling, will he pay or default kind of stuff.
Based on the number of loan requests and repayments, he was/is getting per days. I would say the profit isn't bad, but the problem is that lately, high ranking accounts that would rarely default loans are now doing so because the number of signature campaigns has dropped, among other reasons.

So I think his business is operating dangerously close to losses.

What stops them from faking it, none of us can verify if an ID has indeed a real number or if it's just made up, and even so, even if we assume it's that guy who scammed him, those guys don't care, I'm afraid the opposite would happen trusting them with bigger sums because they have been doxxed.

If they default after being KYCed, he won't get the money but at least we all will know who's behind it and if necessary, share it to other social media platforms.

Do this shit in Europe and you're going to get screwed worse than the scammer, if you haven't entered a binding contract with the loaner you weren't supposed to even have that data, and sharing it online...no, just no!

The issue here is how to know whether they're not using another person information for KYC.
I believe this member who defaulted on the loan resides in the Philippines, as evidenced by his posts on the local Filipino board. Maybe if Sashan gets his KYC and a video that this borrower recorded documenting the loan request, repayment date, and other details and evidence, he could report the scammer online through the NBI and SEC. [I think Sashan will now act as a CEX to continue his service.]  Lips sealed

Anyway, the scams will not end here, so OP should take stricter measures to ensure his rights. The interest he earns may have been partially or entirely lost to these scammers. If I had gone through the same scams as OP, I would have closed my service years ago.

This seems to be the best way to prevent scammers from taking advantage of Op lending service. I will advice he request for KYC for larger amount and Anyone who is not interested to be KYCed should look for other alternatives or go for smaller amount.

You have really helped a lot in the forum through the lending service. It is a big risk to start up something like this and to be honest, you haven’t made it stressful for the borrower before giving out loan to them, asking for KYC or collateral are all out of it but makes it more vulnerable. Wanting to continue despite all those that have scammed just showed you still show concern for those that needs the money genuinely and has helped them in many ways financially wise. If you can deduce a technique that will help reduce the loss acquired from this service, it’ll be great you introduce it so as to help keep the services thriving without causing much losses to you furthermore.

I know all about that.
I didn't say that you don't know how it works, I was merely contemplating on why so many people rather take a loan and disappear rather than try to sell the account as I hear people saying "why not sell the account rather than exiting the forum this way" in similar situtations.

If a person can throw away his legendary account like this then it means we are on borrowed time. There was a time when the price of legendary accounts used to be like multiple grands.
I have no idea how it's been done in the past, but it doesn't seem to me that it's actually easy to sell an account.

First of all, you can't even advertise it on the account you're selling, as that will get it tagged, making the account basically worthless. Even if you try to prevent that from happening, you still have to show proof that you're the actual owner, which can again get the account tagged. So in the end, I'm not surprised that some people decide to exit scam this way.

I know all about that. Do you think I started to this forum 10 minutes ago?

We all know selling accounts or encouraging it lands a negative feedback on the account that does these offenses but it doesn’t stop the account sellers and farmers. Even now there is a good number of farmed legendary accounts waiting to get sold probably.

Too bad though they ain’t worth jack shit anymore.

If a person can throw away his legendary account like this then it means we are on borrowed time. There was a time when the price of legendary accounts used to be like multiple grands. He could have made $350 in 2 months at worst but the problem is, there aren’t enough campaigns and the managers pick the highest ranking accounts with the most merits so… From his point of view this move might have made sense to him since his account doesn’t have many merits.

Or maybe he didn’t want to put any effort to make that money and wanted to be done with the forum.

I thought about starting a lending service in the past too and now I know why I shouldn’t.

Well, that's up to you and I think we all respect your decision here. But  I think you help them less than you think you do because there is a good portion that are gamblers and, to someone who has economic problems, leaving aside if they are a gambler or not, paying more than 100% APR for loans only makes the hole even bigger.

You have had quite a few defaults recently, right?

Yes, but before creating scam accusations and flags I usually wait at least 2 months. Recently I have been given red trust when there is confusion and it is working. Few people send payments after receiving negative trust. But the scam accusation and flag are the last steps when there is almost (99%) no chance to get the repayment.
@OP: isn't it time to stop your lending service? You're an exit plan for people to abandon their accounts.

Still, I want to continue as many people who need the money and my lending service helped them.

@shasan I see that in his last post, he mentioned sending you $80 in interest. I wonder, was that the only time he paid you interest, or has he done it more often? I hope it's the latter, so at least you've received more than just $80 back.

Aside from that, I do hope you reconsider this whole loan business. I know there are people on this forum who depend on you, but there are many others who are taking advantage of your willingness to help.
Sent few interest but including interest default amount is higher than the mentioned default amount. I have mentioned only the initial amount.

Sorry to read another bad story from the lending section.
Maybe I'm not following this part enough, but have members reduced the action in exposing alt and scam accounts? Or it just seems to me.

@OP: isn't it time to stop your lending service? You're an exit plan for people to abandon their accounts.
Or to tighten the terms of loan approval.
