@OP sorry for your loss. It’s really shameful to see another local board user from my country do this. Maybe you should restrict loan from user that has high rate of loan default such as Philippines for now.
Users from other countries can also default on loans, it is not peculiar to any country or local board and blacklisting a particular country from the lending service would not reduce the possibility of lending to another loan defaulter. IMO, instead of blacklisting one country, it is better to stop the business all together, but that is up to shasan.

I supported the flag and feel sorry for Shasan. It was just two weeks ago when he posted Vennali's non-payment, and here we are again. I know it's confidential, but I wonder how many more are on the list.
There are so many other unpaid loans that are past the repayment deadline, and what is sad is most of the profiles are high ranking ones. Some member has a loan in the zone of $1,000, and it's already past the repayment date.

Just check out Shashan's neutral feedback.

I hope there will be no more. The loan is important for some forum members to help them in times of need, but some members are abusing it and abandoning the forum.
With the way things are happening if he wants to continue, he should minimize the amount to be lent.

Aside from that, I do hope you reconsider this whole loan business. I know there are people on this forum who depend on you, but there are many others who are taking advantage of your willingness to help.

I second this suggestion now that signature campaign has less spot due to the mixer ban that provides many spot for campaigns. I believe many users will start doing the same path once they are kick out on the campaign while they have an existing loan especially with huge amount.

Another suggestion is to set limit on the loan amount to minimize risk.

Shasan, really sorry for your loss. Lending business is very risky, when it is without collateral, and i am really surprised when some "established" accounts take loans and fail to pay back. Sometimes i wonder if it is premeditated, or if the person just came upon an insurmountable problem in real life that they cannot get out of.

Either way, a loan must be repaid, it is unfair to the lender and a reason why people completely lose trust in humans. I really hope you recover from your losses Shasan.

I have a feeling that this person is the same person who defaulted on a loan to you. Chaser If I remember it right. I don't have a problem with their race or country, but most of the people who defaulted on loans are Filipino and Indonesian. They're also the biggest cheaters here on Bitcointalk. I'm sorry for the words I used.

@shasan I see that in his last post, he mentioned sending you $80 in interest. I wonder, was that the only time he paid you interest, or has he done it more often? I hope it's the latter, so at least you've received more than just $80 back.

Aside from that, I do hope you reconsider this whole loan business. I know there are people on this forum who depend on you, but there are many others who are taking advantage of your willingness to help.

I saw the update to the flags support request thread and knew it was you.
Me too.

You have had quite a few defaults recently, right?
Out of shasan's last 20 topics, 14 are about defaulted loans. What makes it worse, is that I recognize most of the usernames. It's not random Newbies defaulting loans, it's much more established accounts.
@OP: isn't it time to stop your lending service? You're an exit plan for people to abandon their accounts.

I saw the update to the flags support request thread and knew it was you. Out of curiosity, how long do you wait since the last time they log in to create the flag?

Again, I support the flag, unfortunately thinking that it won't do any good because he won't be coming back to the forum with that account.
