Charles-Tim, congratulation on your new rank. This is honestly a welcome achievement after 15 month of adventure on the forum. Currently the Legendary rank is only a matter of time because you only need to wait for sufficient activity because your merit gain has exceeded the required amount. You have to maintain all of this.

Hero Member is no small accomplishment these days, especially since you registered well after the merit system started.
The Pharmacist, maybe not for those who don't care about knowledge and post quality. Even though we have dozen of active poster every day but it is very difficult for them to get 1 merit because they don't care about post quality. There are very few active and knowledgeable poster with their contribution on the forum from 3 million current profile in my opinion.

Congratulations Charles! How quickly time flies, I remember how recently you were honored with the rank of Senior, and now you have become a Hero.
This is quite worthy, and judging by your work on the forum, you are taking big strides. Thank you for being on our forum, I appreciate your friendship. I wish you all the best. Keep it up, now we're expecting Legend rank from you. My respect!

Congrats, Charles-Tim!  Hero Member is no small accomplishment these days, especially since you registered well after the merit system started.  In fact, it's quite the accomplishment; most members who started their journey on bitcointalk in 2020 will likely never have the patience and/or ability to write well such that they get to even Sr. Member, much less Hero.  And you've already got enough merits to hit Legendary once you get enough activity, so it's just a matter of patience for you now.

Giving a shout-out to all those members was an especially nice touch on your part, and it tells me that you value the forum highly.  That's nice to see.  Most newer members (and you are still relatively new, even though you breezed through the ranks) come here just to participate in bounties and don't read any of the valuable threads bitcointalk has to offer, and if they do post anything other than their weekly bounty reports, it's nearly always garbage.  You're a stand out, man!

Every "level up" you've got was well deserved. You are active and helping the others.
I agree.  I've found many posts by OP to be very educational, and I believe I've merited quite a few of them (though I haven't checked).  Keep it up, Charles-Tim and continue being an example to newbies!

Congrats  @Charles-Tim, Hero rank well deserved, now onto the next one! It's nice to see a member that is improving constantly, and that is applying suggestion on how he can increase his posting quality.

Onwards and upwards, and may the gods of RNG be with you when you reach minimum activity needed for Legendary rank. Cheesy

Every "level up" you've got was well deserved. You are active and helping the others. And learned a lot too.

And I think that it won't become boring. Even after becoming Legendary, you'll still enjoy the merits you'll get (although they may be less) and they'll keep giving you confidence. And oh, boy, how will you check your stats when you know that the activity counter increases, after you get to the minimum threshold for Legendary.  Cheesy

Congrats and keep it up!

Congratulations mate. That was fast!

To be sincere, I enjoyed the days I was ranking up, only to become legendary remains, maybe it is going to be boring now, but that does not limit me to sharing useful information and yet gaining from other members.
Dont get bored even when you reach the legendary status. The forum is a good way to discuss and talk about cryptocurrency and you are in the top forum that has serious and good provisions.

Congrats again. Ive always reading some of your post and you are really good contributor here. See yah more often dude.

Many congratulations @Charles-Tim, there are few users who rank up effortlessly and going by your stats, you're definitely in that group, since you burst on the scene, your efforts keep getting recognized by other members cause they are really of pretty high quality, you'd have to wait sometime to get to legendary only cause you're short of activities, that's quite impressive to say the least.

Congratulations mate (Hero), your posts are clear representations that you have a keen interest in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, cheers to your new rank and to legendary coming in many months ahead Tongue.

Congrats @Charles-Tim! Well deserved. I really appreciate reading your posts. Smiley

You deserved to become a hero member much sooner. You earned the first 500 merit only in 220 days and if there was no activity requirement, you could become a hero member on October 14, 2020. [1]
You earned 1195 merit in a short time and are now ranked 121st in the top-merited users table. Among the top 200 users of the table, there are only two users who have registered on the forum in 2020. You and bullrun2020bro. [2]

I am pretty sure you know it already, since @DmdrDdmr merited plenty of your posts, but if someone is looking for additional Bitcointalk Merit statistics, check out @DdmrDdmr's Merit Dashboard:

You will find all kind of statistics there. Pretty interesting tbh. Anyway, Keep it up! The forum needs people like you!

Great job on achieving your Hero rank. I'm glad to see more and more people mentioning "privacy" in their posts and threads. In fact, it'd be very interesting to see how much the number caring about privacy has changed in the last year.

I remember the day I gave you a few merits and PM'd you to let you know that you're on your way to becoming a very good member of the forum. If I remember correctly, you were the one to receive the most merit at the time from my experiment. For anyone else who's curious, I tried to give 1 merit to someone deserving a single merit. Next, the challenge was to raise that to two merits and give them to someone who deserves them. After that, 3 and so on..

Obviously, the more merits there were, the harder of a challenge it became. Smiley

Congrats. You've still got a long way to go so keep it up. And by that, I mean there is still a lot of room to advance through ranks. I am not the best member and there's so much room for improvement for me but I definitely see who's racing to the top and you seem like one of them.

See ya around! Smiley

You have come a long way but why be bored after a rank up? I'm sure there will be more arguments and debates that will interest you. Bitcoin continues to develop and so will be the discussions. Keep it up.
No, this forum is not boring at all in its entirety, I only just meant the ranking up thing which is fun.

Congratulations Charles-tim, the wonderful class act of showing hardwork is reaching a particular rank by merit even before your activities can reach up to it, you had the merit for the hero membership before your activities even reached it.
I think you are a success story/tale, you already have the legendary merit status, I think it needless to tell you to continue doing the good you do, your contribution has enlightened me and I know someone or many out there. In line to your new hero rank, I know your contribution would be perfectly that of a hero, congratulations on this Charles-tim.

I am thinking to wait until I achieve legendary before posting this, but that is another 1 year plus from now, so I decide to post this now as it has been what I experienced on this forum. When I joined, many newbies were saying this forum is merit centralized, it was the other way around for me but I tried my best to know the norms on this forum (asking and contributing quality information, most especially about Bitcoin, but not limited to only bitcoin). I finally had to know that this forum is so helpful, helping to know how to make use of Bitcoin and even many other cryptocurrencies safely and securely, and in addition to knowing about Bitcoin, I have also participated in some signature campaigns.

Since I joined, there has been many helpful members which really helped me knowing more about bitcoin and ways to privacy and safety. I am using this privilege to appreciate many members of this forum. Cryptopreneurbrainboss and Upgrade for being an encouragement for me that I can also learn about bitcoin like my brothers. DdmrDdmr, for support during the process of me ranking up, I noticed he always read links posted in posts, reading it carefully, making quality posts about it and sometimes including the original link of the link included in OP posts. o-e-l-e-o, for guidance, I read some of his posts that helped me to know child-pay-for-parent, orphaned blocks and replace-by-fee, helped correcting me several times, but I really gained from his corrections unlike some other people that just want to criticize some posts without no good reason. pooya87, for letting me to understand keys and addresses and many more, but he may not know this because he did not know I am following many of his posts, I know about transaction input and output from one of his posts that helped me in a topic, and also about keys and addresses, his post helped me understand it while reading. LoyceV, for letting me to understand how public keys are used in multisig transactions, I was thinking before only signature (private key) counts towards transaction fee charges, I further understood how it is the keys that are aggregated in the upcoming Taproot which reduced the transaction fee. mocacinno, for how nodes can set different days for transactions, while it is 14 days in bitcoin by default while some transactions dropped almost by most full nodes can still get confirmed as it is possible some nodes still have it. The Pharmacist, using many of his posts to realize the need for me to also post the way I think it should be, that is why now I am only recommending Trezor as the best hardware wallet because it is completely open source and many more now that I post the way I think it should be, you people may not understand this, but it actually really helped me. Neuroticfish and hosseinimr93 in transactions. nc50lc, for Electrum wallet used as a cold wallet and signing with watch-only for making transactions. I also appreciate few other members, Heisenberg_Hunter, JayJuanGee, Royse777, vapourminer, ETFbitcoin, hugeblack and some other members for obvious reasons you can see in my merit history. DarkStar_, when I needed loan.

To be sincere, I enjoyed the days I was ranking up, only to become legendary remains, maybe it is going to be boring now, but that does not limit me to sharing useful information and yet gaining from other members. Newbies, do not believe in the saying 'merit system is centralized' on this forum, I knew no one when I joined this forum, your constructive and quality contributions and questions you are asking will help you in ranking up. I did not know pooya87 when he sent me the first merit I received on this forum, neither did I know many people sending me merit, they saw my posts are worth it, and they gave me. Good luck to upcoming members.
