^There is no marxism in this topic or ad.  The ad is literally capitalist marketing.  Everything you don't like is marxism.
This thread is really just anger that males may have to actually be accountable for their actions and fear of a world where they can no longer behave with impunity.

You could make a career out being wrong.

I don't fear being accountable for my actions.  I'm not a rapist, I don't harass women, I don't engage in the subjugation of women.  I've raised three daughters, well adjusted and college educated.  There's nothing to be held accountable for other than the fact that I am male, masculine, steadfast in my conservative attitude, and unapologetic about any of it.

What I fear is being held accountable for the actions of others, guilt by association, all because of my gender.

Its not holding you accountable for other men's actions.  Its holding you accountable for your actions.  The ad literally stated something llke "some men is not enough".  It is a call to action for the "good men" to do their part in holding "bad men" accountable for their actions.  Make it socially unacceptable to possess any of those behaviors you don't take part in.

For example, your boy tells a story that sounds a bit like date rape.  LOSE YOUR SHIT and call him out on it telling him it is not ok.  If you don't do that sort of thing, YOU ARE GUILTY BY ASSOCIATION.   Don't tolerate any of those things.  Not even in jokes.    If you are already doing all you can do then fine, the ad isn't about you and you should find it helpful to your cause.

This thread is really just anger that males may have to actually be accountable for their actions and fear of a world where they can no longer behave with impunity.

I like that miss America pageant no longer has a swimsuit competition yet 25% of the state winners end up working in Asia or the Middle East as party girls.

Talk about hypocracy  Grin

Well I guess girls will be girls.

The movie crazy rich Asians has a scene on a boat for a bachelor party with a ton of hot contestant girls.

This is  a very common practice.
Their efforts to reduce itemization of women and the existing demand for commodified women is not hypocrisy.  As long as there is uneven opportunity in the workforce, one cannot blame women for accepting their role in patriarchal society and taking these sorts of opportunities.

Yeah, MEN are unaccountable huh? I guess that's why men go to prison at a rate over 10x more than women, are about 80% of the homeless, and are falling behind in every stage of education. Take your postmodernist horse shit and shove it. You wanna be a eunuch, fine, but you don't get to dictate to the rest of the real men who run society for your pansy collectivist ass. If you feel I am wrong, feel free to bring some facts (I won't hold my breath), otherwise go fuck yourself with your Communist horse shit.

The stats you continuously regurgitate are actually evidence of the problem.  Toxic masculinity is prevalent in male culture and conditions young boys to adopt reckless behaviors.

You brought the facts for me.  Those extra men in prison or homelessness are victims of toxic masculinity.  We tell boys they aren't allowed to cry or express their emotions from a young age. This along with natural aggression is a toxic combination that maybe doesn't drive males to kill, but omits creating an environment that would help prevent such.

The reason Marxism is so dangerous, is because it will destroy its host in order to reproduce its ideology. The power vacuum resulting in an opportunity for Communism to arise from the ashes. This includes individual organizations, and even on a more granular level individuals. In summary the smouldering hole that once was Gillet's market value is just a bonus on top of spreading their collectivized narcissistic mind virus.

This thread is about an add by Gillette.

They are not getting any more of my money.

I predict a serious and permanent downtown in their sales.

You know what they say. "Get woke, go broke!"

An advertisement you disagree with seems like a bad reason to want a company to go broke.  I'm actually surprised with how hard hitting some of these responses can be, while others fly under the radar.  Another recent example might be Tide, and backlash from the Tide Pod Challenge.  Conspiracy theorists out there might wonder if there's a competitor paying influencers to attack The Procter & Gamble Company's brands in an attempt to stir up public outrage and damage their revenue.

There are so many similarities to the fall of the Roman Empire and the current views of the Democratic Party that are gaining traction, it's like nobody is paying attention.

What do you see, given the changes, as the most important parallels?

Without writing a book...  I'd say the political failure to prioritize, specifically with regards to social issues.

Nothing new here.  As George Carlin (RIP) would have said, its the the pussification of the American male.

Correct me if you have different experience but I don't recall guys being angry when the "Me-too" nonsense arose. After the slimeballs were unable to get Trump with it, they figured to find some other targets.

I thought it was all rather hilarious actually.  But what's that have to do with Gillette moralizing and lecturing the entire male population?

Of course Gillette could produce an equal-annoying series of adds for women using a "Don't be bitches" theme, and lose sales from both sexes.

Wait....you say that'd be SEXIST???

Coins4 has confirmed, though, that you are under attack by those of his ilk.

Secondly, he's parroted the lies which are used in the attack.

There's no reason to argue with him. He'll continue to parrot those lies because to him it does not matter if they are true. He is only concerned with the destruction of the social order and what he sees as power structures.

I have to say the first part was moron to the max.
Boys will be boys chanting is not reality.

Yeah I mostly have heard women saying boys will be boys.

Not men. Now I am a 61 year old white male. That has been married to my wife for 32 years.

I lived in an Italian American neighborhood and since I was 3/4 Italian and 1/4 Norwegian I could not join the “club” so I joined the navy.

In general most men I know are not guilty of me too crimes.

Less then 1 in 20 would be bad guys.  So boys will be boys is exaggerated a lot.

Note some things are simply different. Today's fighting age male may operate (essentially) a mouse / joystick inside a Abrams tank; he may operate four Predator drones across the world from a base in Nevada. But he does not need thousands of hours of practice with spear and the sword.

Late stage empires often experience this. The fighting age males are being feminized, marginalized, and neutralized in preparation for the collapse of our society as we know it, and make a totalitarian dictatorship that much easier to implement.

For me, I found the backlash hilarious. The memes, the fact that even ANTIFA told Gillette to fuck off and called them out for putting their name on a US football stadium that is the largest team sport of "toxic-masculinity" (which I like football, but still funny).

To seeing the extreme left defending it. I likened the ad to if DeBeers diamonds made a commercial about anti-racism. When the company makes it's money off exploiting poor Africans for the diamonds. It would be a good message, but it would be insulting my intelligence.

This "toxic masculinity" thing is going too far.  The attributes that make men masculine are not toxic, they are necessary for the survival of our species.  When a company who makes products for men starts insulting the very nature of their target demographic, just to appease some false sense of virtue, it makes me shudder to think how soft we've gotten as a culture.

Is this the best a man can get?
