If you keep consistently posting in spam-threads you're either a spammer or its/his/her disciple.
Of course you might want to state your poor judgment which accidentally occurred but in such case you shouldn’t complain about few deleted posts.
But…
you also might want to resent that there were more than just a few posts deleted, well then you should be scratched just like those threads.

Recently, I reported to the moderator topics which I considered low quality and somehow moderator has acted upon it.  I reported topics that at a glance cannot be understood or no point at all.  I even reported topics which have 100 pages in replies.  I don't know if it were deleted already.  But maybe, we should help the moderator instead.  My post has been reduced for about 20 to 30 post I guess.  At first, I was in rage to see that, but then I understood the moderators. We should help them identify low-quality topics instead or you can report to moderators so that the topic will be highlighted.  Thay way, we have called their attention..
I guess you are pissing off a lots of spammers if they know it was you, haha. But really you read all 100 pages replies of that topic to figure out it is a spam?

I guess you don't have to read all the reply to a topic to be considered insubstantial.  Even the moderator have enumerated low-quality topics which I replied just buy stated the topics which I recently replied to.  So just by reading the subject or topic or the thread title, you can know it already if the topic is insubstantial.  Because if you tried to read all their replies, you will be just reading shits....

I don't like your attitude, if I'm not getting paid for my posts, there is no sig. spam in disguise. you mentioned that it doesn't worth the bytes to keep them.

I said trashed threads are occupying those bytes. I had more than 7 of my posts trashed, I wasn't just spamming.

Hilariousandco is doing an awesome job with this.  Kiss your posts and activity goodbye if you shitpost.  Mprep also is doing a good job with the altcoin section, which is chronically a mess.

As has been stated, people are human and work at a human speed.  Just because something doesn't get deleted immediately doesn't mean it shouldn't ever, nor does it mean you're safe to post in mega spam threads.

Does it also affect the potential activity of a member like if someone has a single post in an activity period and the thread got trashcan by mods?
If your post is gone then your activity is gone. I've already commented about this in my post above (#19). That's why deleting posts would be a good deterrent to preventing people from lifting the spam megathreads up, so that you can punish spammers for making generic shitty replies.

I'm also not in favor of trashcan if the topic already has more than 100 replies. It can be moved to Archival if a moderator thinks that the topic is spam and it should be stopped.
Archival does not reduce post count, thus spammers will continue posting their bullshit as usual. Therefore, your suggestion is horrible.
Sorry, I thought it only makes it disappear from members and doesn't do anything else while Archival keeps it for the public reading.

Right. There should be consequences if you're to spam: any posts in insubstantial threads should be considered null and any activity associated with that should be much of the same. That way, you'll be able to curb a lot of spam because then farmers will find that they'll have to make genuine replies on real threads that don't have scores of pages of replies.

It is my point of view and can't be taken as advice to mods. hiloriousandco is far experienced and I will be on his side and always respect and follow the decision taken by him. Although, Forum has their own set rules and no one can go beyond them.

Well.
Decoded doesn't count posts with less than 275 characters, you are just being a dick/cunt/dildo.
Irrelevant. You're spamming and disguising it as legitimate posts. I've seen enough of this in order to detect it.

I was talking about threads being trashed, why trash
I was not replying to you, yet you replied to me with an assumption that I was talking about your post.

A thread? if the posts in it are useless they should be deleted. mods do this to make the forum more pleasant for people or just censoring information?
If you want to imply or complain about censorship, then the door is right at the logout button.

I think I got 275 in this post.
Classic spammer. Wouldn't surprise me if you had more accounts. Roll Eyes

Trashed threads still occupying storage space.
Thanks for stating the obvious, genius. I've never implied that they don't.
Your welcome mate, if trashing occupies storage space then what is the other reason?
Where did I mention, in this thread, that trashing should be prioritized over outright deletion? Where did I mention trashing at all? Reeks of quick sig. spam in disguise. Roll Eyes

The reason for this is to allow for previous discussions to remain documented rather than hidden.
You're implying that gibberish is worth the bytes that it is occupying and should remain documented. What is really does is reduce the quality of content of this website.

I just want to remind hilariousandco the another option "LOCKING topic" to serve the same purpose. (I am not here to tease anyone, still I just want to show how a higher official is missing their responsibilities).
Instead of talking about the only global moderator, you should be talking about the administration. If theymos wanted to, a major part of this problem could be solved within days. You need to convince him.

I am trying to understand why you are saying that hilariousandco is contradicting himself. I don't see this in your post.

Either way, as a general rule, threads with replies will not be moved to the trashcan but will rather be locked. The reason for this is to allow for previous discussions to remain documented rather than hidden. The exception to this is for threads like altcoin giveaways in which no real discussion takes place.

I've encountered a post like this in the past and he is a member with a highest rank that a regular member can achieve. He is enrage since about thousand(s) or hundreds (not sure) of his post are deducted though the end point is that he don't really care about the forum or to the users (as what he is saying but not what he really meant) but for the signature campaign that he joined.

Anyway, as a user, especially if you really are good poster, then you shouldn't have posted in those trashy topics at the first place so you will not complain about your post reduced by a couple of number. I understand you, really understand, and get your point there and I think it is a nice suggestion but sometimes you need to delete those trashy topics even if it has a thousand of replies since it is totally "insubstantial."
