The history of Russia begins with that of the Eastern Slavs. It's rare to see Russia's complex early history depicted in such a straightforward manner. This did leave out the Franks and vikings, though...

i didnt see an agreemnet... and where do u take that number from? 50% - lets use real statistics. thats taking 50% of people i know that live in russia - we talking thousands - i can honestly name no one i know living under the poverty line (apart from the bums in the street - obviously there are no bums in the west "insert giggles here"), whereas i can name one but a few in the west i know living below that line.... you sir havent used 1 fact so far. the only place i havent seen a person live under the poverty line is new zealand. that does not make it the greatest country to live in.

ok you starting to make sence now! you visit egypt for holiday - that explains a lot about a person. what on earth have egypt and russia have in common, apart from soviet 80's weapons? (please dont mix russia ans soviet union into one - russia is a county that stopped existing from 1917 to 1991)

I was referring to his answer.
He visited some eastern countries and he decided that those are the best place to live.
You can't decide this by visiting , stay there for a few months , work there , try ti run a business and then decided if it's that good to live there.

i am here, i work here, i have a business here, i think its good to live here. i lived in the uk, i worked there, i had a business there. i still think its better here. i did all that in israel - i think its better here (in russia). Please give me a proper (fact based) opinion on why russia is a bad country to live in? I can make your life simplier by listing the bad things over here myslef - that is - transprot network is in a weak state, the roads are in a bad condition, the health service is too corupted and free health service is on a low level, the food industry is bad - expensive (good) food is out of reach of hands of people below "middle class". Now number 1 - get a car. Number 2 - either live in a large city or buy a car 4*4 (ok i can agree that this is a bad thing, but certainly there are other terrible sins (sarcasm here) in the world), it doesnt effect everyone in any case. Number 3 - ok thats the worse but hey is health care good in the UK (please dont answer yes, i know more than one close person that have died casue of terrible health service there)? Is it good in Israel? Yes its much better, i agree. Also in Germany. And other countries. We can learn form the west in health care, but there are some good doctors here. Just the health care system is still spoiled by the soviet times. Its fixable with time. And numebr 4 - well its a bad thing BUT just start reading the back pack of what you people buy, read and understand it, its people own fault for buying shitty food. there are plenty of middle priced good food over here. Or just go all green and buy only farmed food....

Well , thank you for agreeing with me.
As for you solution , do they work for the 50% of people living at poverty limit?

Probably you lived in the wrong area in western Europe. Since I've been living in eastern Europe my whole life , even before '90 i can safely say than the only place in a western country that is worse than the whole eastern block is a landfill.

I have visited at least half a dozen Western nations, and three Eastern European nations including Russia. I found Eastern Europe a better place for families to live.

Visiting and living there , those are two different things. I've enjoyed my trip to Egypt , but living there for let's say two months? Hell no Smiley

well if the uk/germany/spain/israel/new zealand are the wrong places im sorry - they are great. but calling a country a landfill thats just stupid! i dont know where you live but u obviously talking utter rubbish pal. Russia is an amazing county with great opportunities, sure it has problems, but where doesnt? I only live here for a third year but i love the place, its great. i spend my childhood in eastern block - cant remember much, so cant judge. But im here now and i love it.

pretty scary state. Just picking up those olympic medals and get the f**k out.

People tend to be scared by things they do not know very well (and thus do not understand)... But once you've learned more about their culture, history, what they think about thesmselves and about others, you would, perhaps, speak differently...

I happen to live under the Russian regime for a few good years , and I couldn't have been more scared of what's capable of doing by not knowing of it.

Scratch "live" , surviving is better.
