I am still surprised that there are still those who use these sites that users have given up using since 1017/2018 and which had lost their credibility a long time ago. These platforms have never been interested in having a good reputation and rely in their activity on the market’s lack of these services. I, like others, was one of the users of these platforms in the early years, and I think I am like many who did not face problems using them, but this does not confirm their integrity at all. When I read the complaints and most of the reviews, I find it very unfortunate.
This is not a new surprise because there are other platforms of the same type that have been proven to be involved in many suspected scams, but they are still active and certainly have their fans.

They have taken(stolen) me $20 few days ago for the inactivity fee in DOGEs. They took me 223.74 DOGE, that is to say they've used the global price market and not a the Hitbtc price, it would have been 2000+ Doges otherwise. Why they've done that if they are not able to sell DOGE elsewhere?  Huh For me, it shows they are easily able to withdraw DOGE in order to sell them OTC or on other exchanges. It's a proof of their dishonesty and their scam. BTW where is the chat now? I don't see it anymore.

The rate of insincerity in that exchange isn't what you should go trade or even make deposit over there, due to their behavior people don't like trading over there and even if there are any thing to trade there I would rather use p2p to trade with someone else over here than going to make deposit of my precious fund there.

That is the number of exchange I won't refer someone to go trade, a friend of mine lost huge amount of money to them because then her phone was stolen and she has to send messages to support to help her deactivate her 2fa after what she did she was asked to submit that last deposit txt or withdraw txt to proof that she was the real owner of the account.

But guess what when she did request for that assistance since is been long and she last all access to her mail and she wasn't able to provide any txt receipt she was denied access and they took her money worth 4k usdt she did all verification required but yet no avail.

Not really sure but it could be anything.

Some sources suggest that the headquarters is in Unit 19, 7/F., One Midtown No.11 Hoi Shing Road, Tsuen Wan, New Territories, Hong Kong. New Territories also appears on their LinkedIn profile

Under legal information they claim to have been incorporated in the British Virgin Islands

Quite confuising

What amuses me is how HitBTC and Yobit are never sued or sanctioned by the so-called protectors of customers SEC, yet there are known widespread scam reports but instead they go for Kraken, Binance, coinbase they are trying to be good.

Every time DOGE goes up in price, something like this happens. HitBTC has been considered untrustworthy for quite a while now; I also don't know how they manage to stay afloat & haven't gone bankrupt already (I guess just through sheer theft of coins).

After almost three years of doge withdrawals locked on this "exchange" I think we can say this is one of the longest ongoing scams in the crypto industry. Unfortunately I have many DOGE locked there because of greed as in the very day they locked the wallet there was a good arbitrage opportunity. Now the price is almost 1/10 of the real price and those doge are surely lost.

Yeah that's a bummer. They want you to sell your coins (that they don't have) at a deep discount while at the same time are attempting to trick others into depositing to take advantage of the supposed arbitrage opportunity, which doesn't really exist. Sucks.

Those monthly fees, High withdrawal fees, holding user funds hostage for those who have "failed" to pass their stupid KYC verification procedure and probably profiting from the low price of Doge in their platform.
Imagine they sell the doge off the market in other exchanges and keep low buying orders on HitBTC that keep getting filled. That's a huge profit margin. That is how they manage to keep in business, sadly.
It's certainly what they are doing, for sure so I don't know why Winstar78 think they've not enough funds to cover possible customer's withdrawals. It's not the first time I read this rumor. But even if it was true, they had way enough time to cover the gap by buying DOGEs of desperate users selling their bags 10 times cheaper than the market price.  Undecided
I still wonder what to do, though.

Are those informations true?

I really wonder how could they still stay in business for so long, no one talks about this. And the final part of the scam is they apply a fee every month from your wallet if you don't do trades for 6 months.

Of course if you comment about this on their reddit they ban you. And, they disabled chat on telegram some time after this scam, and turned into a "channel" with only useless announcements.

this scam should have had more visibility.

When I saw January 16, I thought it was a 2 weeks old topic. Unfortunately after reading the thread I figured out it was a thread from last year. And I have to note that in one year nothing has changed. Deposits for Doge coins are still open (without any warning) but for unknown reasons withdrawals are still closed. They claim the wallet to be in maintenance but my coins left the deposit address for a bigger wallet in few minutes. If they are able to move them like that why they can't send them to the customers?

Have you tried to open the system monitor page about what they are saying? If you face such type of issue then are you able to sell your doge coin? If you can sell your dogecoin then sell on the and buy from another website. It will make you a little loss. The updates happened a long ago there is no reason to hold the fund for these types of time.
Yes of course, I looked at their so called "system monitor" and they just say that the withdrawals are "offline" without ETA neither explanations. I just saw in their ANN thread that the wallet is in maintenance since April 2021 actually...  Undecided

We can sell them on their spot market for sure, but the buying orders are just 10x times below the current prices of the market if you see what I mean. BTW if someone trusts them and doesn't bother to wait, he can buy Doges at a very cheap price there.

Same case with Yobit.io, their Doge coin wallet has been "under maintenance" for I think 2 or 3 years now, but the depositing part is OK. Withdrawing doge is the problem. There are so many similarities between HitBTC and Yobit when it comes to wallet maintenance and very high withdrawal fees.

People should completely stop using both exchanges.

I recently deposited 15147 Dogecoins onto HitBTC, At this time 16/01/2022 they are worth $2,767.25, i use Dogecoins for the cheap sending fees and most exchanges use this currency. I was not expecting a price manipulation of $666.00 when i received the dogecoins on the website.
I tried to withdraw my coins back onto another exchange and received this message " Withdrawals for this cryptocurrency are offline. Please refer to the System Monitor page for updates. " . Okay I'm not worried at this point as most exchanges have wallet maintenance from time to time, but then i scrolled through the internet and i see this exchange has been having issues for a very long time with their dogecoin withdrawals
and many many angry customers. You would think they would disable Dogecoin deposits! especially when this has been a problem for what seems a year, so i reach out to them through email i get this message

They have kept trading open so you can exchange dogecoin without any problem. But the most surprising thing here is that the rate on hitbtc is several times lower than the market price of dogecoin. This is a totally trap set by the hitbtc team for their customers, and the OP has fallen into that trap and now has no choice but to incur huge losses.

This issue of Hitbtc to withdrawal of $DOGE start since last year and I'm surprised that they still didn't fixed the problem. One thing I doubt about this accusation is how the heck OP will deposit huge amount of Dogecoin to Hitbtc without checking the price of the order book. There's a lot of top tier exchange like Binance and Kucoin that accepts $DOGE with the updated price yet he still deposit on Hitbtc with lower rate.

Coincidence? OFC Not.

OP bought cheap $DOGE  to hitbtc and he is using this scam accusation to push Hitbtc to release his $DOGE(as if hitbtc will read here) that he bought cheap. He is just trying to make a quick profit by selling it on other exchange.

Check reference on how long does Hitbtc have problem on DOGE withdrawal: https://www.reddit.com/r/hitbtc/comments/q7fh0d/doge_withdrawal/

This is interesting turn of event, I have to admit that such possibility didn't cross my mind, and judging from OP's effort to find the end of this situation --which I'll say pretty minimum because after they posted the opening post, they're not commenting or gives any other follow ups like they're not too interested or absorbed into this matter, although their fund is the one at risk here-- it is quite a possible scenario.

So, dfbtc, just to clear the air here and be sure of your position, can you please show us the TX details from your address to hitbtc?

Hi thank you for replying, i have only created this post for more awareness because it is not clear what this exchange is doing. I can see many unhappy customers who are not being told about this

Oh no, not HitBTC. I do not even want to read about what's happening to the OP but it should be pretty bad. I've had a traumatising experience with them that I luckily got out from without a loss (They basically requested my Facebook account and proceeded to my withdrawal after they've seen I was an M.D.), but it definitely was a mistake using them in the first place. That was more than a year ago, didn't touch it since.

There is a good chance that what you suspect will come true. The OP has so far not shared any evidence to show that he actually made the deposit. As a result its activities are being questioned here, since the problem of dogecoin withdrawal was already on hitbtc. Op may not know that hitbtc's reputation in this forum is already bad and they left the forum long ago. So such an attempt will not bring good results for him.

And forcing their users to sell their Doge at $0.043
I have gone to coinmarketcap and I have seen that the price of dogecoin on the  HitBTC is less than 30% of the real (current) price. It is something like a stupid rate which usually shown bogus site like yobit.

First of all, sorry for your loss. What would happen if the price of the coin increase instead of decrease? I do not think you would blame for increasing the price. Now regarding the update, I do not think you are not new on the internet. So, you should not forget that this site also may require few maintenance.

I am not promoting the site or I am not taking part of the site. I am just providing my opinion.

And What if an exchanger claims that they doing wallet maintenance for a year now? would you believe that? I was thinking why HitBTC has the lowest trading price of Doge? Somehow I forget that. I am happy that I didn't fall for that. This is a Scam. They accept deposits from others and have the Doge on their wallet. And forcing their users to sell their Doge at $0.043. I would like to ask you please read the whole thread and posts which is 1 page.
You will understand what's going on. I don't know if HitBTC uses Bitcointalk or they have an ANN. If it exists and OP Creates a Flag, I guess a lot of DT will support his flag.
