Hi,

I wanted to test hive os with one of my assus b250 rig. Which has nvdia and mad cards. For nvdia works fine. But I am not able to control amd cards. Allways receive amd overclock failed message and some rx570 cards works only 5 mhs. When chech amd-info works very slow and shows only 300 mhz. But at the same rig, I can control nvidia cards without issue.

I hope sone one help me.

I think hiveos user numbers quite low. Last 12 hours no body reply. Or I am the first one who is receiving "amd overclock failed" error.

I tred debug myself but I couldn't find amd config file location. If I find, I have no idea, how this file loaded when booting.

Lets wait, may be developer answer.

I'm having a problem with 1 set of rigs.
They are all AMD 12 gpu rigs with 4gig of ram and Celeron cpu on ASUS B250 expert MoBo. When they are rebooted the load skyrockets and slows the rig to a stop. If I unplug them they work normally at start, until they reboot again.
This does not happen on my 6 rigs on the a Biostar tb 250 with everything else the same.
Anyone has any idea why? Any suggestions?

This is a known issue with these boards. We're currently awaiting feedback from ASUS on the matter, but, we think it may be related to BIOS version. Anything above vers. 120x has this issue.
Boards with 1001 up to 1010 don't seem to be affected.

Thing is, you won't be able to rollback since they've ME locked it.

Please check your BIOS version and report back so I can send as much data to their guys testing this.

Thanks!

I'm on Version 1206 on all I think.

I run the same B250 board with 14 vegas and I have no problems unless I update Hive. Try reinstalling hive and do not update it, stay on version 0.6-01.

We present our Hive OS Diskless PXE - solution for diskless rigs and server to boot them over the network.
Using Hive OS Diskless PXE will allow you to reduce the cost of your mining investment by saving on disk media.

System requirements for PXE server:
Any computer running Ubuntu 16 (VirtualBox is also supported *).
Other versions of Linux based on Debian are also possible.
Static IP address over cable Ethernet
At least 2 Gb of RAM
At least 4 Gb of free disk space

System requirements for diskless rig
4Gb+ of system RAM for AMD GPU RX 4xx/5xx
8Gb+ of system RAM for Nvidia cards (unsupported for now)
BIOS with PXE (netboot, etc) option

Hi, is the stuck fan control issue still 100% related to a driver bug on Linux? I've got a mixed rig of pascal and turing cards... And every time I reboot, I need to vnc into the box and apply fixed fan speeds directly using the nvidia driver app... Quite annoying...

Hi people, i have a weird problem, i have a 8card rig (rx 580 8gb saphire pulse and 1 saphire nitro with a h110 pro btc+ asrock) when i conect the hdmi cable to one of the rx cards no matter what i do, if a switch the risers, conect to a different gpu or anything else, if i put 8 card the system boots, the hiveos starts but it wont start mining it stay in a dark screen with this symbol on top left (_), but when i conect only 7 gpus starts good and mine good, but if i conect the hdmi cable to the motherboard it recognize the 8 gpu and i can mine very good but i have problem with´applying the fans and voltage settings, why do you thing this happen?

Sorry my bad english
