I love seeing weight in coin control. This is my first POS coin and all others after haven't had that ability.

I would like to see all of the stats that show up when you hover over the green icon always be shown on the front stats area. Plenty of room

What do you mean "font stats area"? Do you mean when you click the green icon?

Think he means the Overview tab. That would be nice, to see time since last block - last block number and staking weight / projected time etc at a glance.
Cosmetic but effective unless it adversely impacts cpu load or something.

bearing in mind the message ou put on the CAP thread yesterday when the CAP checkpointing server went on the fritz.
Is there a way of trafficlighting the network status on the client and pushing messages out directly to wallets?

such as "please watch your sends and receives" OR "No cryptsy deposits" and possibly a link to a relevant forum post  or twitter

People will tend to have the wallet open 24/7 but not be reading here or http://www.hobonickels.info/

HBN has grown a lot since the good old days. I am happy that it is finally a time where I feel comfortable buying at the exchange rate. Shocked

We've just hit a mile stone,

1 million HBN blocks have been solved and just over 5.125 million HBN generated.  I think inflation has been well controlled this far.

For those who just start following, there is a 5 HBN reward for block solving, if this was purely PoW, we would have 5 Millions HBN in the network, 125 thousand more is not that bad (about 2,5% more)

This is cool Smiley

I'm sad. I missed it.    Undecided  It's like the first time hitting 100k on your car..

lol yeah, it does feel that way a little bit Smiley

@Tranz: Anything new in store for HoboNickels?

We should have an Active  HBN irc channel with tip bots. lets get going guys.

Actually the fork for CAPs just completed, and so far so good. (Knock Knock). So here soon I will continue further development for HBN version 1.5.

I have a few things planned, but I would love to hear from the community on what you guys would like to see..

An original idea added to the wallet graphics might work wonders.

Anything specific you had in mind or just a fresh gui?

BTW, I notice that, in coin control ,the 'weight' column is something that I do not see in most other PoS coins (I run wallets for around 30 different PoS currencies), even though it could be easily copied. For that reason I would guess that HBN is not being too closely followed atm by other PoS devs, and you could bear that in mind when innovating (a head-start could be achieved if the right progressive innovation is adopted)

I hope that makes sense to you :  it is a tactical observation, rather than a specific suggestion.

Solo mining HBN not working
got shares accepted but this is what i get:

http://imgur.com/ac3meKR

any idea?

Sad

There are no shares in solo mining. Either you solve a block or not.  You should not set the difficulty yourself. Allow the wallet to feed the miners. Also be sure the wallet is unlocked.

Anarchy is not chaos.
Thanks for the reply. But no one knows what the stake field is for?

When coins do get staked they move from balance to stake. Then after 25 confirmations they move back to balance. So they are only in the stake field for a short time.

At least Tranz is paying attention Cheesy Sorry about that, dhahgon, I missed the question when I answered you.

I have a question. How do you know coins are ready to stake? I noticed in the wallet there is a balance and a stake field.  Do coins move to the stake field when they are ready to stake? So basically should I wait until the stake field shows a balance before I unlock my wallet for PoS mining?

the little arrow in the bottom right goes green - leave it unlocked or the coin won't stake

Yep what raskul said. It really is as simple as this: after ten days your coins begin competing for stake.  Also look at coin control and the weight column.
