Not exactly... It was first because of Ordinals and then a new tokenization protocol that uses Ordinals called BRC20. Its very degen stuff, near pointless. It could all be recreated on ETH or BSC but its on Bitcoin because its "new". After the fad dies down (which it already has somewhat) the degens will move on.

The mempool is full right now, but I expect 100 sat/vB to be enough for the transaction to be confirmed within 24 hours.

recommended fees rate 583sats that's really too high for any bitcoin transaction I reduced mine to 183, but still yet to get confirmed. Hopefully, in the next 10 hours it'll get decongested.

Friends, payments will be processed tomorrow (I'm just on the road and will not have time to get home today).
No prob. Mempool is silly busy right now anyway (>2x worse than last week), maybe it will have calmed down just a bit by then.

And I don't mean to clutter the thread but I bit the bullet and made a tx with a 138 sat/byte fee to hopefully encourage a miner to pick up the payment transaction

Thanks mate! Happy to be part of this. I have some issues promoting new / unproven or even shady services. I know AgoraDesk for multiple years now and even though I mostly recommend bisq (since it runs decentralized as local software), I always recommend using no-KYC P2P exchanges over centralized, KYC exchanges any day of the week.Such as also Robosats, for Lightning trades.
Do make sure to use the Tor URL everybody and have fun with AgoraDesk!
