Hold is certainly a good strategy to get maximum profit, of course there is no compulsion if you want to sell, but if you want bigger profits then hold is the best choice because many people regret when they see prices skyrocket after they sell bitcoin.

Actually, if you do HOLD, we must first target the amount of profit in trading. you don't always have to hold, as you said when to take advantage if holding continuously. Long-term investment, there is actually a determination of time and profit according to the target. So you don't need to linger, if you get a profit, you can immediately open a sell.

Very hard question to answer. First of all there are two types of sells for me. One is a small fast sell that usually happens when we need some money quickly. It is not an investment decision and just a way to cover our expenses. In this case I would usually try to sell some stocks first and not really touch my bitcoins. The second type of sell is a larger transaction and comes from an investment background. We don't believe anymore in the value of Bitcoin's and think there is a better opportunity for us to invest in. I still believe in bitcoins and the HODL strategy, that's why I would not sell at the moment. After reaching 200,000 USD I might consider switching into some alt coins.

It really depends on you when you are going to sell your Bitcoin. If you have bought during 2018, I can tell you that you really made a profit because Bitcoin back then was below 10,000 USD.

In any way, gain is gain. Whether big or small. But I suggest to hold still as Bitcoin will still beat its All-time-high 69,000 USD by the end of this bull run.
Bitcoin tried to break through the $59$ mark but it was very difficult. In recent days prices are still strong above the $53k support. I'm a little worried about this situation. The market seems to be getting saturated. As of this week the price of BTC if it continues to rise it will be above the price of $59k. It seems that some bad news also affects the Crypto market.
We should see it possible to happen, if bitcoin has dump before, it could happen now, but the most important is to believe that bitcoin will eventually recover once it dump and that gives us an opportunity to sell at a profit if we bought at dip.

Many countries are racing to issue money in CBDC, to match Crypto. So some media outlets are taking advantage of making bad news that seems like many countries are banning crypto activity, when that's not the case.
They may do so, but it doesn't kill bitcoin because CBDC is centralized, way opposite to the network bitcoin is promoting.

I usually hold a coin that has a target if it hits the target then I sell coins that I don't hold in the long term unless it hasn't reached the target then I have to hold it in the long term.

What's yours expectations for January 2022? Grin

I hope that by 2022 the price of bitcoin can reach $100k, I got information that more and more investors are joining the crypto world and they will also buy bitcoins in very large quantities. I think 2022 will be a better year than previous years, I think Bitcoin will hit a new high. Don't waste the end of this year, it's better to collect Bitcoin and Altcoins until 2022 to get bigger profits.

I don't have any fixed price expectation for January 2022 but i hope that bitcoin will be over 70-80 K.

Also consider that currently bitcoin is looking a bit bearish .

And that is exactly the reason why it is held. One can just assume that the btc will also rise in the near future. When that happens, no one wants to have eaten a 2k burger. But that could also backfire. If no one pays with btc, it can also be more difficult to adapt. A vicious circle you can say

So I keep hearing HODL, HODL, keep holding and all that. My simple question to everyone is "when is actually the right time to sell Bitcoin or we don't ever sell it"?

How then do we say we have made money from it if we don't sell?

This is unpredictable world . No one can say about price going high or low. But I think bitcoin is now moving around 56/57k . And it's a big support . Hope it will not break and going up to its new ATH . All are hoping 70k in the end of the month . So I would suggest you to hold . Because HODL is gold in crypto

The right time to sell your bitcoin depends on your decision only. Nobody is stopping you from selling your bitcoin. The time for selling your bitcoin depends on how much profit you want to make. If you are satisfied with its current price and think you have achieved your target profit, you can sell your bitcoin even today.

There’s no one could answer that but ourselves, no matter if it’s gonna be buying or selling. Our money, our choice. If we are happy with the profits even if it’s just x2, then that’s on us. If we keep HODLing, that’s on us as well. No one can decide but yourself.

Absolutely, you idea is right. If we get much profit, we should sell btc or other coin. We take advantages from selling my coins. And waiting, when the value of btc or other coin dump and we can buy tokens. Again we can wait to profit when the value of altcoins are increasing.

The simple way of how to look at this is sell your coins when it is higher than your buying price, that is if you badly need to sell it.
But if you can hold, and believe it will go up, then hold.
In this market, you have the freedom to do what you want to do with your portfolio.
No one will stop you from your decisions, so make sure you are doing the right thing for your funds.
No one holds us from doing every decision that we make and we're all free from doing it. But it's just that there were some wrong timing that we've done in the past and that has taught us a great lesson of being good when to sell.

Matters on how wise you are on making your actions for your benefit or advantage and this is something that people should really be mindful in regards into their actions.

If you are not well on making decisions then that would surely cost you but if not then you would really be finding this to be profitable.

So its up on someones decisions on when and how they would be selling their assets as long it is on profits then that what matter most.
No questions if someone has to sell when it's needed to do.

Hold is a good strategy to use to avoid losses when the market price has experienced a significant decline, but then when the market price has recovered usually the holders will sell the asset to take profits or they will continue to hold it for bigger profits if the market price continues to rise higher.

That is a good strategy and I have applied it a couple of times this year during February 2021 when the price was near 60.000 dollars I sold some and bought a new mining rig and during latest bull run in October where I sold some with 62.800 dollars.Of course the larger pie I hold it for at least 100.000 dollars for a Bitcoin but some I usually sell at these high prices. Also do not worry about the price decline during the holiday season right now,it happened the same last year and soon after that Bitcoin boomed to a new all time high,so hopefully we can see the same pattern this year too, only at a much larger scale.

No one stops you from selling when you have a need to, or you could also take profit when the price goes up appreciably. However, don't ever sell off all your position and dont forget to bag more when it dips.
That's the way of selling.

You sell for profits and if you want to buy back, buy it.

And when you're selling and don't have any intention of buying back then just sell your position for a few of it but don't ever sell all that you've got.

The simple way of how to look at this is sell your coins when it is higher than your buying price, that is if you badly need to sell it.
But if you can hold, and believe it will go up, then hold.
