don't make the wrong conclusion that you will lose. Hold a good choice for people who hold potentially future alcoins such as eth coins and bnb coins, don't just hold without knowledge of the coins we hold, they will lose in the future.

So I keep hearing HODL, HODL, keep holding and all that. My simple question to everyone is "when is actually the right time to sell Bitcoin or we don't ever sell it"?

How then do we say we have made money from it if we don't sell?

Every investor has a different target, sometimes investors invest in Bitcoin just to look for business capital and if they get enough profit for business capital then they will sell the Bitcoin they have. There are some investors who hold Bitcoin for 1 year and after that they sell it to enjoy their profit.
In general, experienced investors will sell bitcoin after the Bitcoin price has experienced a continuous increase and at a certain price point they sell it before the Bitcoin price drops further.
Simply depends on what a certain individual does have its mind because we do have different target or goals in mind which means it will really vary on each person which means some would be holding and some would

be making active sell and buy as long they could gain profits in short term which simply means that its up to someones discretion on when they would really be doing this according to their plans or decisions.

But we know that holding does give out that opportunity to make profits even though not really as big when you do make active ones.

It is not 2009-2014 that Bitcoin price is still very cheap as in our time now the price is really insignificantly high that we cannot maintain holding a whole or risking our big amount investing longer.
so for me it is a Buying and selling that we will be engaging to earn more money.

HODL if you are seriously wanted to to and can afford losing the amount , but if you are doing this for living? then this is different work to justify .

The answer totally depends on you. It is a subjective matter. You can hold as long as you want to, and you can sell now if you are already happy. Maybe one of the key points to know when is the best time to sell is to remember what is your main reason why you entered crypto? Are you here for the short term only? You just want to trade and scalp? And then you are good to go? Then probably you should sell the moment you already profited and you are already happy with your profit. Because after all, trading and scalping are really time and trend based. You wouldn't want to be late in selling your coins.

Or are you here for the long term? Do you intend to be an investor for good? If so, then you can just wait until you see the ATH of bitcoin before withdrawing your funds. You can also withdraw once in a while so that you can also enjoy the fruit of your labor and patience. Just remember to leave a reasonable amount to your portfolio and just touch what you think you need. It would be much better if you will allot a specific amount solely for investment purposes and do not touch it for any other reason aside from what you really intend it for, the first time you invested. Honestly, it all really depends on you. Just be disciplined enough so that you won't be regretting later. Remember, you can always enjoy today without robbing your future self.

Hold is a suggestion for us to get bigger profits, the opportunity for bitcoin to rise is very clear especially at the end of the year like now, if we sell then we will regret it because the next day's price is very expensive, there have been many stories of people regretting being in a hurry to sell bitcoin and not patiently waiting so you have to start investing bitcoin at an expensive price, hold is an option, if you can't wait then sell it immediately.
HODL is for people who believe that by holding they are better off than selling. It is for those believers that can take a few dumps without panicking, and stay firm. It is also for those who bought so low that sudden dumps don't affect them anymore.

HODLing is also for those that were not early adopters but believe in its future and despite the contrary still hold. This is only made easier if these people don't need that money and can go by without it. And Bitcoin can be sold if one sees the right opportunity.

you don't need eternal hold, each person has a "target price". all you have to do and think is set, wait then sell. like me which now still hodl some satoshi and will sell my btc when Bitcoin is at $150k.

Agree to this and  we do have our own decisions if ever we think that this is the best time to sell then sell , dont listen to others that youve sold your coin early since it is our decision, as long as we want to sell it then sell because thats our target and we are contented with it. As my self as long as i want to sell then i sell or if ever i really need money i would sell it but if ever i dont need money i just hold it and invest it for the future since we could really earn a lot from crypto now  a days

Glory To Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!

So this is the reason why only invest in bitcoin the amount that you are willing to Keep holding and if you are aiming for faster growth then best put your funds in altcoin things that most of us are doing now.
we have retired in investing bitcoin for short term basis , not like in the past that Bitcoin is still best to use in arbitraging now those days are gone already .

Altcoins are not always the best option, maybe a small amount of them can bring more profit than bitcoin, but in most cases, bitcoin will be more reliable for investing and holding. Even those who bought bitcoin at 20k are now with a good profit. And for example, not all altcoins can be invested with a large amount, liquidity may be not enough, while Bitcoin allows you to do this without problems.

Until you are in no need to spend money, you should view at crypto as an investment and should not sell it. If you ever set up any investment account in your bank, they tell you the recommended period is 10 years, the same is with crypto.
History shows us, there will always be next bull run where your coins will be worth more than now.

People's needs are different, some have more capital and they will only hold it until they are at the very top..
and vice versa bitcoin for their daily, when needed and will be sold to meet their needs..
.so I think it depends on the bitcoin owner himself in the face of crypto price pressures..

good target.
well, everyone has their own target before selling the coins/assets they have. In the case of selling, you may need a target like, when the bitcoin price has hit $100k, you might sell 50% of your asset, and when the price drops to a certain price, you stabilize the coin to wait for a price that is right for you to buy back.
everyone has their own target, so they are waiting for that. they say that at the moment we have to hold back because we believe the price will really go up in the future. sell or hold, it's up to you, but people will recommend holding on.

I guess it's time to sell, then buy the dip. Well lost few hndreed few days ago longing this, arghhh Well, Bitcoin this year might hit 100k, or not but it will surely go beyond 100k in 3 years time. So hold it if you can, well I bought bitcoin with $1200 sold it $1600, lol yeah back in 2015.
Currently the price is declining, if you're going to sell at this point it will look like you're afraid of further dip. Why not selling when the price is above $60k?

Anyway its up to us, so you can sell if you're happy with your gain profit, otherwise continue to hold. Certainly the price will increase and reach another ATH in the future but it will take time thus patience is a must.

understanding the Hodl's way of thinking for years is very complicated, they prefer to see the price drop 50% but even so they don't sell, even if they are at a 70% loss they won't sell, even if they spend years with a loss they won't sell, Is a scary way of thinking. at last the money is theirs and they have the right to do what they want.

You think people actually holding their bitcoin for life? No I know many bitcoin holder sold, when It was high few months back. ad they buy the dip and sell high and make profit. So nobody holding bitcoin forever. However big institution may hold a bit longer to make maximum profit out of it. So be wise and know when to sell.

It becomes the point of your patience to wait for the price of Bitcoin to end up selling the coins you have. But everyone will have different benefits later. everyone has different principles to generate profit for them.

it's obvious mate the right time to sell it when you make a profit ,however as far as I know and understand Cheesy is anyone who hodl bitcoin in the past would have been lucky to sell it today or in the future ,do you need money? otherwise you have to hodl on until you are sure it is the right time to let it go ,back to yourself mate

If you want to get profit, then you can always sell it above your buying price. That is, if you are not looking for long term holding. Because the right time to sell is when the price is already higher from your buying price. But if you strongly believe the bitcoin's future and you are capable of long term holding, then, why not hold it? I say capable, because some people can't afford to hold their btc portfolio because if there are personal needs that he needs to attend to, and he has no other means but sell his stash.

Trident Protocol | Simple «buy-hold-earn» system!
I believe it depends on someone target, because I believe Bitcoin doesn't have selling point but your target will determine when to sell your Bitcoin, Bitcoin is not just a coin that just will pump anyhow so Bitcoin is a coin that will be pump gradually. So for does people holding  Bitcoin they need to hodl, hold and hold for a long period of time to be able to make a real profit out there. But For me I bought 300$ worth of Bitcoin and I have target  to sell it when it reaches $100k per dollar.
