For now I think it's better to hold the bitcoin for the mean time, because it seems price of this coins or any other altcoins were not stable. However I have a little bit worries regarding the value after segwit but still hold it.
No one really knows what will happen after August 1st. Will see in few days, by that time: Holding and buying more if going low.

I will just hold my bitcoin and wait what will happen after august 1 and if the price goes up or down. I will just accept what will the price of the bitcoin in that week. Just lucky that i bought some a little bitcoin in the past when the price surge down but for now just hold it and wait for the perfect selling day.
i will also like to hold and not to sell and specially in present time when the price of bitocin is trading a little low. as there are more chances that the price of bitcoin will increase too much therefore i am not going to sell my bitcoin right now and will wait for the price increase.

Thats true, we cant predict the price of bitcoin I do hold bitcoin also. We will never know until what price of bitcoin would be this coming august. But one thing for sure we can gain profit in the future by holding our coins. Lets just wait the right timing when to sell it.

don't do what people says make your own analysis and make a target of you profit and if you are not satisfied with your profit find a good coin and hold very simple...

how about if they're still a newbie and don't have any idea if is the right time for selling, buying, or holding?
i mean in this case he see an uptrend and still expect it will soar high and he can enjoy the profits , but everything going so fast and the graph become a downtrend so he lost his chance.
So, i think sometimes it still a good way if you want to hear some people opinions(moreover if he's an expert) about what's going on later , thus u have a well-prepared for facing a pump and dump scheme

Now best time for selling btc.Bitcoing dumping very soon.At present it is the high pumping. So exchange your btc to usdt.
I think dumping already ended since many days ago when bitcoin was falling to $1800, now we will reach $3000 soon before/after segwit successfully implemented and we will rising more after that. If you want to sell your bitcoin now, just sell around 30% from your bitcoin.

There is no way to make sure if dump already ended. We gotta be ready for any possible scenario for bitcoin. If we relax now, we can be shocked when bitcoin crash again. As a holder, I still hold no matter what's going on in the exchangers.

Yeah no one knows if the dumping is already done, but as what you said you will hold no matter what will happen then why need to worry and be ready for the possible scenario when you want to hold your bitcoin for long term?

I do both, mostly I hold, and partly I am selling because of concerns that prices could be going down after segwit. but when it really going down I will buy more.

Yeah I think it is good decision to hold our bitcoin first. I agree to you that the price of many coins in the cryptocurrency are not yet stable. It seems that we need to hold all of our coin before we sell it.

In trading how do you know if it is time to still hold or is it the right time to sell? Do you go buy your profit margin  or actually wait for the highest possible peak?
For example if you're earning like 10% of your investment, would you just sell or would you be interested in waiting and seeing if it goes more up so you could earn more, in doing that its possible that it may go down and you then earn like 5-8%
But what is your process in this? How do you go about hold and sell timings?
It's better to hold first bitcoins before trading it bitcoins value is getting higher every day so why you sell in lower value? you can wait until bitcoin have the higher value then if the bitcoin have that high value then sell it for you to get more money so in my own opinion it's better to hold the bitcoin first

Hold and sell are really important in this cryptocurrency world. If you hold there are bug chance that the token that you hold will goes and become double or even triple. That is the right time for you to sell your coins. I prefer to you to hold your coins first before you sell.

When it comes to trading, when the question is, if I am going to hold or sell altcoins. Well, definitely my decision will depend on the situation. If the altcoins reach to lowest price, that is the best way to buy altcoins, then when it reaches to the highest level or price I am going to sell at the best prie of course to gain more profit.

But, I still have to observe what will happen before and after August 1. I will surely keep my eyes and focus in every transaction that I will going to make.

When the talk about the split began, I gave in to panic and part of my bitcoins transferred coins to alto. And it turned out to be the right decision. I managed not only to save my capital, but also to increase it. It was a good coincidence. Now I'm ready to buy bitcoin for a long-term perspective
But remember if the split will be happening and the community will also be divided like what was happening with ethereum and its forked coin. Save in alt can't be a good decision for you. It will be better to save your amount in fiat balance. I think those will try to do a rush sell into the altcoin to get bitcoin and sell them for fiat and waiting for the big dip to buy in again. Your way can't be determined as a good sign for the future condition.
I heard there will be no more split that's going to happen and it's the reason why the price is back on it's high price now.
But, I still have to buy altcoins and some of my btcs are put in altcoins because it's very cheap now, I cannot let this opportunity pass away.
I can make money in an instant because altcoins will be back to normal again.

The best thing is to find some kind of balance between holding and investing/spending so for that you shouldn't be passive and just sit and wait but watch the market closely and participate. On long term I think you could only profit but for more substantial one you have to take the risk from time to time.
I also do that. By doing the balance then we will not lose too much. So this way is quite safe because some bitcoin we sell and some we save. That's what we have to do before BIP141, as some information says that bitcoin prices will decline and some will suggest that bitcoin prices will rise. So this is the safest way we can use.

it depends on the coin and it depends on the timing and it also depends on how much i have at stake.
if it is bitcoin we are talking about, i hold and even if i am trading and miss the selling target i never worry since it will be reached sooner or later.

but about altcoins i usually dump them as fast as i get the profit. for some coins it is 10% and for some of them it is 70% to 100% but if i see the rise is still going i can always buy back in one of the dips and get more profit. but i never wait around if i get the feeling that dump is nearing i will dump faster than anybody else can. and so far i have been successful to make profit.
The decision is always depend on how you are going g to manage your tradings because there are different target price on every individual. One may sell bitcoin because it much better for them to earn a little or enough for an everday. But if you are going to invest much more time or a long scale trading its better to hold and to trust the development of bitcoin. There are many factors to sell or to buy bitcoin. And the changes of price is the common reason. So it's better to always monitor the price so you can have a better trading.
As you mentioned that cryto trading need a lot of time to understand means give a time to crpyto currencies totally agreed. But it's not dumped as you mentioned it's dumped just because bitcoin is implementing some faults which was in bitcoin. On another side it is giving opportunity to people to buy bitcoin in a cheap price.

I always go for hold to get the benefits of the highest possible profit.
to me i also like to hold bitcoin for a long time. actually i am always in favour of long term investment. i think log term investment is always a safe investment and there are very little chances of losing money in long term investment. long term investment is also good for those people who do not have any experience trading.
