Not the right time to sell I guess as price is moving upwards and same can be expected in coming months so the best thing would be hold them for next couple of months and watch what price it achieves and if it reaches $1500 then that would be the perfect time to sell.

basically i go for hold. first rule to make profit is buy low sell high. Bitcoin trading needs a lot patience. Buy butcoin/altcoins when they are low and sell them when they are high. You can use many sites for trading altcoins. like you can buy any altcoin in yobit and check its price on other sites like cryptopia or any other. if the price there is high just transfer then and sell them. remember to calculate the profit along with transfer charge.
I would say that bitcoin is rather safe as a crypto, however everyday it gives us a chance to gain a profit out of the trades made in the correct time.

Altcoins are totally different world, it is more like a lottery or gambling for a coins that are really cheap comparing them to btc.
Moreover, many of them are made by devs just to get money from these coins and dump them later to cash out.

The case is different with more recognized, trusted coins with potential like monero, im sure it may also give really nice gains.

In trading how do you know if it is time to still hold or is it the right time to sell? Do you go buy your profit margin  or actually wait for the highest possible peak?
For example if you're earning like 10% of your investment, would you just sell or would you be interested in waiting and seeing if it goes more up so you could earn more, in doing that its possible that it may go down and you then earn like 5-8%
But what is your process in this? How do you go about hold and sell timings?
Here actually all depends upon the user that how did he want to make money and how much time he can give to this group .
If the bitcoin holder have full time to make deals in trading and also have a lot of patience then no doubt that he is able to make money ( this Investment of time with your money).
So here all.this a game of mind whether you want to sell or buy at the perfect timing , hope you understand my logic of making more profit with time spent .

In my own experience holding coins for a couple of weeks or months is more profitable than rush selling in a high price, Im also holding some coins for years and when the price suddenly up you can take advantage from it, price monitoring is very important as well as status of each coins, updates like developments etc that affects price..

Yes its good to hold them for next couple of months and sell when price reaches to the highest point and for me the highest point is $1500 so will sell only when it reaches there or else will prefer to hold even longer.

If you are talking about the daily trading I am always selling rather buy and sell and if you are talking the long term trading I am only holding that certain coin for a moth or a year because that will became a profit in the future surely so there's many strategy in trading. You will just use what you want.

If you are trading altcoin then buying and selling will be a continuous process but when it comes to only bitcoins then holding them for long term is an good idea as this is not the right time to sell them as price can go much higher in coming days.

see bitcoin market movement today I found doing the holding is the best choice. the current increase in the price of bitcoin continues.
bitcoin price increases even so positive. bitcoin current store will certainly be a valuable savings in the future.
Bitcoin holding is the best to do and it will suits to you if you are talking about long term investment because the price of bitcoin is very limitless and there is no clear high price for bitcoin so we can expect more and more increase to its price. If you want to get a lot of profit from your investment even you just invested or bought at least 1 bitcoin then put it on a cold storage and wait for the price to get increase of at least 50% then you can sell for taking profit.

In bitcoin trade both are beneficial if a person will sell then he will not lose as now the price is better and if a person will hold for longer then in the future the price of bitcoin will increase more and the user of bitcoin will earn more profit.
Making profit in bitcoin isn't a matter of waiting but the right timing matters. If you are going to trade before and after volitality which in favors of you, that's the best thing to do if you have a capital to be traded. This is less risky since it's a long term trading and the potential of a coin is huge that it wont drop down continuously since its foundation is strong enough.

As much as possible, depends on the current trend, Im trying to wait for the highest possible peak before selling. In case of price decrease, I have some set limits (vary depending on the situation) on how long will I stay before I pull out especially when Im doing bitcoin trades. In case I didn't able to pull out then just go on hold since no matter what it takes the price will still reached it's former peak and chances to even break it is high.

Now because I didn't able to pullout and will just hold the coins that supposedly on sell, I must take advantage of the current dip and embrace it so that the quantity on hand will increase and not just rely on the first set of hold coins.

it depends on the coin and it depends on the timing and it also depends on how much i have at stake.
if it is bitcoin we are talking about, i hold and even if i am trading and miss the selling target i never worry since it will be reached sooner or later.

but about altcoins i usually dump them as fast as i get the profit. for some coins it is 10% and for some of them it is 70% to 100% but if i see the rise is still going i can always buy back in one of the dips and get more profit. but i never wait around if i get the feeling that dump is nearing i will dump faster than anybody else can. and so far i have been successful to make profit.
timing and patience is the key on a good trading. So if you are going to ask me if to hold or buy i will also say it depends. It depends on the price and value of bitcoin. So price or value checker is a must on tradings. Always remember to have timing and patience so you will have a good decision on your tradings. Then after that continue the way you earn bitcoin so you can have a source of income for future capital on tradings. Do not worry for some lose and the risk because trading is worth the risk.

Well I would rather hold my coins than sell them if they wouldn't reach my goals but of course there is an exception if the price dump way more than I expected I would sell them,
But I don't really know when is the right time to sell.
It's upon each users requirement whether to hold or sell the bitcoin. Each has some mindset to sell the bitcoin at some price point. On this basis most of the users hold for a longer time period. Possibly this has been done by rich and the common men mostly use for daily expenses.
for sure those who understand the system are the one who benefiting from the current fluctuations, those who place their money and use btc only as an investment will not be worried about the price for now since they are aiming for a much bigger value in the long term.

There are many traders like you are making profit on that way and in the other hand is losses .
Here i heard from my co-traders they buy and wait for the highest price but in reality do you know what it is highest attainabke price ?
Here i give some tips make your holding divided in 3 .
Then,
1 play as much as you can
2 Set it on mid range prediction
3 is for backup hold or set in possible highest prediction of yours .

I hope this help.

I always hold when trading altcoin, what I do is play longterm because it is better than fast trader, clay few coins in polo or bittrex lot of that increase is almost 500%, play longterm today are very nice, but we do not know how long we hold the coin, the point must be very patient
Apart from being patient, another trait required here would be to select the best altcoin, how do you go about it? Do you go with the top in marketcap or do you go with the new ones that can be bought very cheaply and hence result out in bigger profits?
If you must buy and hold altcoins, better to stay with the ones occupying the top positions, because they earned the position and their huge market capitalization is an indication of availability of liquidity, so one can be confident about finding lots of buyers and sellers at all times.

As for the altcoins with very cheap rates, care must be taken not to get stuck with worthless coins and there are many worthless altcoins out there.
Good advice. It is good to invest the most of your money in the coins that are in the top lists or in the lists of coins that have a big volume in the market because it symbolizes stability on its price. Yet, it is still volatile but it is more stable and it will not show you a hard dump because there is a lot of players or traders in that market and they will not let the coin to die and they will put a lot of buy support on it, so you don't need to worry about losing money in long term.

well I think there are a lot of ways to know what alt coins you start with, you just have to run through most of the threads here and you'll pretty much get a lot of information. And I agree, in trading, patience for me would be the best thing you can have to get good profit. It's a waiting game basically and you have to be composed and not panicky.
