I think eventually useless cryptocurrencies the market is filled with today will be gone, but it wouldn’t surprise me if one day there were thousands of purposed blockchains that show useful information. Imagine every service company you use having a blockchain showing your subscription and payment info.
I definitely except a similar situation and we have seen a few companies actually do this ( wasn't IBM behind some operation where they would set up internal blockchain solutions for business clients) This more or less needs to also be something that the medical record world takes over as well with each operation and prescription being essentially a transaction to an individual and not just a piece of paper that you hope goes from doctor to doctor.

According to me, the trend of creating all the fake tokens and forks of coins we see must be gone for the greater good as the projects associated with them never fulfill their promises.
There is no doubt that bitcoin would never lose its userbase but I have a little concern regarding the recent news about improved supercomputers capable of breaking cryptographic functions, which actually lay the foundation for bitcoin and other blockchain use cases.
A person who gets involved in cryptocurrencies never really leaves this ecosystem and I sense no slowing down of this.

If people did not believe in cryptocurrencies these digital currencies would be long gone but what I see is the opposite, a strong support base and more people eager to use them which has the not going anywhere written allover it.

I haven't been trading my bitcoins and cryptos since this year begins, but I have noticed that the hype train is slowing down since then, compared to last year. I want some honest opinion about the future outlook of BTC or crypto per se. Should investors invest in it ?

In my own view, cryptocurrency especially Bitcoin can be better without the hypes and exaggerations that characterized the market in 2017 and early part of 2018, we don't need those for the survival and eventually massive adoption of Bitcoin as they are just hampering the effort to educate people on things that Bitcoin is representing. Now, as to many alts, I am sure the big reason why there seems to be a downward trajectory for their interest is that people are already tired of supporting projects that are not performing well in the market so there is a need for alts to shape up or be ship out to nowhere.

if investing with bitcoin surely there are still many investors who have a lot of money, they are very interested and want to have a part of bitcoin than they invest fiat currency or with the central bank system, because they are investors who are very confident with bitcoin because bitcoin is a good coin to invest for a long time and they hope that the price of bitcoin in the future will be more expensive.

The hype train is sleeping but it does not mean that cryptocurrency is dying. Without the hype the volatility is still there and the market is still going on. Still trillions of dollars are being invested in cryptocurrency and that is why as long as people continue to use and trade cryptocurrency it will continue to survive. If cryptocurrency will be gone it will be not now but maybe a number of decades in the future.
Indeed, crypto will not die due to its current situation. Its price is decreasing but it doesnt mean that it will never woke up from below. Bullish market is yet to come, we will see bullish market again soon but for now, dont ever think that crypto will die anytime soon due to this reason. Crypto is an investment that existed over a decade. It wont last until today if it is just a bubble.

yes why not, if I choose to invest bitcoin I will continue to do.  but if alt I'm not interested. then why is the reason to stop investing in bitcoin if it's just a matter of current prices I think it's no big deal because it's a cycle. or think bitcoin or cryptocurrency will collapse suddenly, you think too far. in fact bitcoin has never been touched below 1K in last cycle.

It's not a surprise that hype is long gone. But slowly, bitcoin will rise again as we approach the age where younger people with early access to technology are going cashless, and there's where bitcoin might come into play.

Altcoins, on the other hand, is for me not that good of an investment for long-term holding. It's used more often in exchanges to bitcoin and to other major altcoins such as ETH, XRP, etc. BTC would still lead the race and has a higher chance that would be used as an asset/investment or sometimes payment rather than these altcoins.

So, bitcoin won't be gone anytime soon. It's too early to say, and quite impossible if you look at the way people in this generation live.

if we'll going to look beyond, if cryptocurrency will be gone, technically the reason might be a strong massive super computer that can decrypt better than the way how crypto encrypts data. One possible machine could be a quantum computer, with its powerful processing power, it might surpass the hashpower of transactions and mining. But still, there's no concrete proof about this speculation.

Cryptocurrency is still at its early state, with these different countries getting interested in it, more institution taking part of the revolution, more people getting in this crypto trend, I can say yes, investors should invest in it.  But before that investor should know the benefits and risks of crypto investments.  He should also know how the market move so that he can  adapt on sentiments shifts.

Cryptocurrencies (not just BTC) will eventually obsolete all forms of centrally-issued fiat.

It's just a matter of time.

The question here is, would centrally-issued fiat disappear?  I think, no, but indeed, cryptocurrency already made these centrally issued fiat obsolete but government are stupid enough to cling hard on their creation.

Gone anytime soon?? I don't think so... Even if it's adoption is increasing slowly, it's still increasing. Cryptocurrency is far from being extinct. We can't deny that there's already a lot of people engaging in crypto so how can you say it'll be gone anytime soon?? What I can see is it, crypro is just taking its time but will eventually increase its popularity even more.

evolve. adapt. or die.

right? so if cryptocurrencies will continue evolve and adapt for our fast financial and political world, it can survive.
but, in the case, if crypto are threatening to the real world fiat domination, like Libra did, the return strike will be fast and hard. as it happened with Libra, regulators hit, and important partners of libra quit the project. now LIbra is dead. this could happen to any cryptocurrency which will influence to fiat world too much

If anyone thinks crypto is going to be gone soon, he must have lost an amount of money.

The price of the coins is not what it says. BTC is way more than $8000. In 2015, its price was less than $1k. The difference is just too big to think about it will die any time soon. I would however think this is still in the early stage of its rise so grab yourself some BTC and major altcoins in the market because once it take off, its already up there and there is no way you can buy at low price.
the current price increase from bitcoin is proof that more and more bitcoin users, and also cryptocurrency. I do not think that someday cryptocurrency will disappear, even on the contrary, there is a very big possibility that people will be accustomed to this, like money.

in the future, I think that cryptocurrency can be an alternative that is accepted by everyone. other than that, I think big companies like facebook will start a revolution so that cryptocurrency is accepted worldwide.

What you said it is similar to the earth will disappear in the future lol. Nothing is certain, not even humans. In the future we may disappear without leaving a trace. It may be millions of years, but it will not happen in the near future. I have faith in cryptocurrencies that will accompany people in the future!

Yes, I mean cryptocurrency in general, I have been only buying bitcoin so I didn't know about any other altcoins. It is so tempting to invest in them when you see 3 4x price increases.

It may be tempting to invest in altcoins buy it isn't really much when one invests in bitcoin itself. You should be aware of the halving that is about to occur by 2020 and a lot are speculating that bitcoin price would pump throughout the entire time we are waiting for the halving to occur. The hype train only occurred because bitcoin became a bubble by the year 2017 and well a lot of people got scared and bought bitcoin with what happened then. The hype train died because bitcoin has now returned to its mean. It may seem that Bitcoin is dying but it isn't actually. It rather is at it's the best state since this is the state where it could start being pumped up again.

Year? 3 years ago, Bitcoin costs $ 1,000, today it costs $ 8,000. Does HYIP go away?
Yes, the hype of financial madness has passed, weak believers in bitcoin and cryptocurrency are leaving the ship.
Large players accumulate more and more bitcoin that flows to them from smaller ones.

If you are skeptical about investing in bitcoin, then you can always diversify your portfolio by considering other investment mechanisms available in the market and consider bitcoin as a long-term investment.
We should be skeptical about cryptocurrencies it will sure to have their time to be known, as many already uses it as well planning to adopt, maybe it is just a research oint and in next few years is  a big adoption for blockchains. So diversifying is the only solution until it goes there. Invest some in crypto for future benefit, do trading in real stocks ,have business or invest in real estates. Though all investments takes time its how we market and strategize it to still make it till all those investment specially crypto became a need for everyone.
