this is what is called risk and wherever the risk will always be there, this cryptocurrency currency can disappear at any time, but as long as the internet and electricity are still there then cryptocurrency and other digital currencies will not be easy to disappear.
If we invest in projects that lack manpower and capitalization, do not even have too many plans for development, soon disappearing is possible but talking about the entire crypto market, especially those projects that are high quality, these cryptos are really not easy to disappear when everything is no longer in the ancient period. The position and development of the crypto sector has been built and confirmed in the minds of many investors, with this steady need and capitalization, disappearing at any time is almost impossible

I haven't been trading my bitcoins and cryptos since this year begins, but I have noticed that the hype train is slowing down since then, compared to last year. I want some honest opinion about the future outlook of BTC or crypto per se. Should investors invest in it ?
Do you see people screaming about Facebook and Instagram like they did 5 years from now? Do you see people posting pictures of every phone they purchase like they did a few years ago? No it's because technology generally creates hype upon it's inception but this falls once it becomes common it doesn't means that it's use has fallen but people consider it as a normal routine thing which I think is good for BTC. So no Cryptocurrencies are not going anywhere soon the reduction in hype is just because people are normal with bitcoin now

If you mean by invest in it is altcoin yes you can consider and should try and invest in altcoin and trade with it and see if you can profit more than bitcoin can give you. I know few investors who have found their fortune on altcoins and not on bitcoin so you should try it too but only invest what you can afford to lose.

The 2017 hype is gone, people are learning they are not taking the risk anymore. They only invest in a few legitimate and trusted projects only. That's a good thing only good remains but it doesn't mean that cryptocurrency will be gone, maybe some of it those sh*tcoin will be erased and forgotten. But bitcoin will lead us to a decentralized future it will never be gone.
In general, I don’t see bitcoin to gone anytime soon as adoption would be accumulating. As long features exists people will recognize bitcoin. Indeed those only shitcoins would be gone and totally valueless in the market. People who believe about the future of crypto will continue adopting and will still invest in it.

We don't need to do hype here only coins that need promotion because it's a new coin that needs hype. but in the case of Bitcoin, it doesn't need hype there are continuous news coming, new videos being uploaded on Youtube, and news articles being written, in fact, Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency still dominate the search engine, you just need to get updated to see the real situation.
Since bitcoin and other cryptos are on bearish sentiment you won't hear much hype about them just wait and when another bullish sentiment evolves then begins another hype especially from the media thus there is no cause for alarm just continue your trading the volume of bitcoin traded daily is a good evidence and yardstick for its sustainability in its future outlook.

Last year's hype was due to the rise of bitcoin. The reason is that there are many new investors who want to keep up with the hype train. They do not wonder if the price of bitcoin will fall further.

Now that last year's new investors are gone, they may never again invest in bitcoin.

Do you even realized that many new investors are still buying and investing cryptocurrencies? If i were to ask about future, btc will still stay for so many years. The development is growing fast and the adoption is starting. I do hope you get back in trading your coins so you would be aware that the train you are talking about is still active and fast just like before. I do not see any certain reason why investors will turn their back in crypto investments.

Slowing down because the price is not moving at all, or there's not much big news about Bitcoin, the interest is still there, the fact that the volume is not changing and the fact that you can still trade and I can buy a lot of stuff with Cryptocurrency, if the future is bleak then it will just burst like what FUDS are predicting to happen.

I don't think Cryptocurrency will be gone any time soon, I'm sure they will long live at least it will 5-10 next years. But if later the public wants to accept Cryptocurrency as a currency that will be used to buy anything in online or offline then Cryptocurrency will live even longer.
If the public demands to accept and adopt crypto which is very possible to happen. The fate of this industry will be in the hand of the end users that will continue to use this system. There's a lots of potential that this alternative currency will be there to stay, as long as there's people who will keep supporting this system it will not die and stay for good.

If your trust to Bitcoin and other alts is based with the hype, and current market situation then youre in a wrong perception. If youre looking at the historical data, every year since 2010 Bitcoin's price increase are very overwhelming. Dont just compare how popular bitcoin was now and before, you look at the movement price through charts, then you can easily identity whether bitcoin or any alts actually live longer or not.
Yet, some of the alts in the market wont probably last long, but Bitcoin definitely will.

Invest in bitcoin like hype where you want to raise profit with have the same risk when bitcoin down you lost your money and hype lost your money too if website scam and no paid anymore, bitcoin can be profitable if price always higher but when price down keep take save your money and sell your investment before you lost much, but in hype you can't cancel what have you invest and hope one thing you can take profit first before your investment scam.

in europe alternative to crypto is either the nazi banking certals, the royal banking cartels or the EU communist banking cartel.

so i doubt we can do it in europe without crypto.
Same is the scenario throughout the other countries. This means the growth of bitcoin will continue with time than falling to the banking industry. There is need for technology backed services to meet the needs of common people, one out of the ten who have understood the technology believes in it and starts using it. This number will increase gradually.

I mean, as any form of technology, things get old, outdated and then eventually become obsolete and never used, and the people who do have them consider them to be vintage.

We've seen this with a range of tech over the years, VHS tapes, CDs and DVDs, but we've never seen it work with a financial system/payment option.

Let's see if it in the next 10 or 20 years if we see any new technologies that will look like they will replace crypto-currencies.

I can't imagine yet how crypto can be gone soon, it is too early for now, I know technology will be developed more but I think not for now, as we all know we are still at early stage and adaption period, so it would be great if what we will think for now is how are we going to market and help people who has no idea about it at all.

We must stop to see Bitcoin as a bubble as it seems its no longer a bubble. But investors should invest in what ? In Bitcoin in general ? They are already investing but this doesn't mean that the price should skyrocket just because of this.

Personally ,I doubt cryptocurrencies will be gone anytime soon or be gone in general...we're just at the early days of adopting so we haven't even met the mass-adoption phase which I doubt it will come even in the next bull run. Just have some confidence and try to research a little longer about Bitcoin and Blockchain and you will see that this is a revolutionary technology of financial system.

Bitcoin is too far from dying. If your basis is the price then you are looking in a wrong way. Bitcoin would have been gone long time ago since the market price of it had flanked several times before it reached the current price even it's revent ATH. Bitcoin has a long term potential and it still has a long way to go and has a lot of ways to be developed and improved.

Re: Honestly, do you guys think cryptocurrencies will be gone anytime soon?

No, but the opposite may happen. Adaptino is real.

If people did not believe in cryptocurrencies these digital currencies would be long gone but what I see is the opposite, a strong support base and more people eager to use them which has the not going anywhere written allover it.

Yes, its from people support that this cryptocurrency like bitcoin continue to grow. We already know  its capability, now its time for mass adoption. This  can spread the  advantage of this crypto.
