Nightmare on Elm Street

The original Nightmare on Elm Street, 1980s movie, was such a hit that it sparked off a series of films.

I suggest " The Ring" japanese version and "The Conjuring 2". If you want to ensure you’ll spend the rest of the night awake under your covers, jumping at every creaking floorboard and afraid to look at the closet door lest it seem to move, this is your ticket.

Lights out!
Try this movie, it is a good one. Especially if you put your headphones up to your head.

Either The Thing, which is a horror classic or It Follows, it doesn't have many jump scares but the ideas of the film are really suspenseful.

This has probably been suggested, but if you haven't yet, check out the first "Insidious" movie. It was the first time in a long while I got 'the chills' at the cinema.
