That's why its called the King of Sports. Even in a landbased casino, there are bonuses in a slot wherein you go run and fight against each other. lol. And there are horse racing betting as well, which replicate the scenery and ambiance on a true race track.

But yeah, I agree, we don't know why some countries banned horse racing, its extremely fun. I guess the element of gambling and animal cruelty (whipping the horse) may have something to do with the ban itself.

I can't understand, I have to read it many times but still I can't get it. You said that it is legal to horse race and then there are people who are forming groups and when they win with their bets they are giving a portion to the winner(I assume the horse rider). How it can be illegal?

They have a regulated horse racing track a few miles from where I live so I do not see how it is illegal to bet on horses if you are with a group of people or if you are alone. That is a weird thing to try and make sense of but I think it depends on where you live because every country has their own set of rules put in place to try and curb or deter people from betting for some reason.

Im a little off topic but as everyone here is a horse racing fan I thought I would throw it into the mix. We have just released a crypto only racebook at mbet.io.

It goes without saying we are horse racing fans and most countries we visit have horse racing as a betting opportunity. I think what the OP was talking about with friends putting money in and the winner taking the lot is what we call a sweep. We mostly only do this for huge races that even non-gamblers bet on.

Well it depends on the country if it is legal or not legal to them but here in my country it has a lot of horse racing places to make bets and sometimes it's near the train station and you would notice them because there are a lot of people were staring at the TV and probably are intense because they are betting something.

I don't think its illegal in a sense. If you are talking about local bookies then its illegal. Yes, I have been in local horse racing for so long. But I already quit because our local bookies doesn't want to accept bets because the government is pursuing illegal gamblings, including horse bookies.

But if just a group of friends watching live horse racing and then trying to bet against each other, then I don't see any illegal on it as long as its within or inside their home.

Forming a group and finding themselves more benefits is usually happening in most of the gambling houses hence no surprises for me in this. In our country, we are having legal horse racing still I'm not aware of any such kind of activities. Now a days I do not prefer physical gambling houses nor fiat based gambling hence horse racing not in my favorite list anymore.

We have the horse racing bet as a legal in our country and thus many enthusiastic do betting on their favorites. It nice that along with the jockey even people who have bet do cheering up so that their horse win and they can earn money

I don't remember a country where horse gambling is illegal so far I know, all countries allow this type of gambling. Now what you're referring to is called gropism betting, it's where like minded people meet and bet within themselves it's natural to do so nothing bad in it. There're multiple reasons one to avoid paying taxes, anonymity from the government and at times habit. Don't bother about these people you really can't stop them and if you're not comfortable stay away from them.

In our country we have horse racing called as video karera. As far as I know this is not illegal in our country and this is not an active kind of game nowadays. I think this one becomes illegal to some other countries because of the fact that it involves betting and has large amounts of bets involve which causes ones bankcruptcy or big debt.

Why it is illegal if they do on their own?

If there's some fixing/throw/cheating involve that would make it illegal but if someone would start a gambling site for horse racing yeah there's nothing illegal (depends on the country).

Last time I made a bet on horse racing was when directbet was still up. Only made that bet because of a tipster here in the forum I decided to follow him for his good win record it was a bet on a horse that was favored to win the race the pay out was below 2.00 (decimal odds) and lost.

I think it depends when you are on the inside of the race tracks than watching only on TV because when you are in arena you will gonna pay for the entrance but for those who only watched online they were not paying, but have their pros and con. If no one caught you betting then it is not illegal yet, but if someone knew then it is illegal. Grin

People do gamble over here on horse betting but as this is new country for me I haven't tried betting on those online. There are also some hotels which offers betting on those horses locally like you have said and distribute winnings in cash without taking any record or submitting any docs/tax to government which might be considered as illegal. They are doing it freely so don't know whether they are allowed to do it or not, I will never get involved on such things in this new country.

I participated once due to high rewards but it's just for testing my beginners luck. I really don't preferred a gambling game on which Im not comfortable and doesn't have a knowledge on it.

Horse racing gambling game is legal here but only for those who are regulated. Any kinds of unregulated gambling here is illegal. We have some sort of gambling bookies around our streets and it attracts people (generally, mostly age of late 30's above) because of high reward on a small bet although as usual, it must be on high odds. And honestly, houses around that bookies take that opportunity to do business by establishing a drinking bar with live horse game to watch since the main bookie was full of people and you can't watch the race properly.

Just a dissapointment that at the end of the day, lots of paper bets scattered all around the place and it will just be sweep by street sweeper the next day in the morning.

Everything is a business, of course they would monetize the shit out of it and a simple drinking bar is easy enough to establish to keep the patrons entertained and busy gambling. We can't really expect a sore loser to clean up his losing ticket can we? If it won then he'd cash out and like 95% of the people throw the tickets in fraustration.
