I wouldn't be surprised if we will see a drama among many casinos.

From that thread, I see many reputable casinos have an active and on progress accusation status e.g. BC.game, Duelbits, Fortunejack, Rollbit, Roobet, Sportsbet, Stake etc. And the same time, they're have an active campaign, contest and other gamblers aren't have any problem. More importantly we don't know how legit is the accusations that were created.

Currently people are promoting their project to get spotlight, maybe next we will see people make other projects looks bad in order to shine.
~snip~

I agree that one should be careful when it comes to scam accusations, because as far as I can see, many of them are successfully resolved in the end - and not every problem can be treated as a scam as it is sometimes tried to be portrayed. I have nothing against everyone being familiar with how a certain online casino works in terms of relations with players when it comes to paying out winnings - but as you say yourself, a campaign like this could be abused.

1xbit won’t actually be in the signature itself. The signature will just link to the thread listing all the scam accusations. I only mentioned 1xbit as they seem to have the most accusations here.
Focusing any attention on scammers like 1xbit should not have any priority here.
In the end, they 1xbit were proven scammers, but many scam accusations remained unfounded and without sufficient evidence. Accusations very often come from users who tried to cheat the casino, so I wouldn't put someone on the wall of shame so lightly.
I'm using them as an example but I think I have made a mistake with my intro.
You might have noticed a lot of newbies starting threads in scam accusations board, especially about casinos like 1xBet, just because they didn’t know it was a scam. it has a lot of open scam accusations.

This isn’t just about 1xbit...it’s about all casinos with open scam accusations. As I mentioned, it’s up to users to assess if an accusation is valid or not. The signature campaign doesn’t imply that if you see a name on the list, you should avoid them; it’s meant for gamblers who think critically and can weigh things out. The benefit of the scam accusation board is the variety of opinions from different members, making it more transparent than review websites, where only the admin’s criteria and descriptions are displayed.

We used this as a reference : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.63504246 (just a sample only)

Are you planning to do something like that? It is very good. But if possible you can create a thread about it also or anyone that create a thread about it, you can put the links together with other scam compelling threads just like the one you explained . It can also be an exchange or other scam services. I mean if the signature campaign is for scam related sites generally and not only about gambling sites, it will be better.
The example thread is in the OP, created and maintained by @holydarkness. If there are other reliable threads, we can add them to the signature too.

Since it is not going to be a paid signature, I don’t think many people will be wearing it.

That’s fine, it’s just an idea after all. If no one’s on board, I'm cool with it.  Smiley

DT members are already actively giving negative trust ratings to those bad casinos’ accounts and/or creating flags on them. Average users don’t really have to do anything about it. If the newcomers are blindly choosing a scam casino without reading the notes on the account of the casino in question, then there is nothing we can do about it. It is like stopping a person from committing suicide. If he is dedicated enough, nobody can stop him. Some people will get scammed anyway. It is part of the learning. Some people can’t get wiser unless they lose some money. It is the best education for these people.

The issue is people just don’t know where to look. Most casinos only have one ANN thread, so they run signature campaigns to get the word out across the whole forum. This campaign’s got the same idea, urging users to check out the info and think it over before signing up.

For me, we can’t just throw our hands up and say there’s nothing we can do...every little bit helps, even if it’s small.

I don't think there's much that can be done without the thread owners consent.
Has HolyDarkness be informed about it?
Has he bought the idea?
This could be started without even bringing it up on meta.
Campaigns are launched without prior notice on meta, this shouldn't be different.

It would definitely be an impactful and helpful campaign assisting in navigating the various Casinos here.

No, he doesn’t know yet, but his thread’s public, so bringing it here doesn’t need his permission. This post is just to discuss the idea, not necessarily for me to lead it. I’d actually prefer if someone more active on that board took charge, especially someone like @HolyDarkness if he’s open to supporting it.

Fortunately there was no accusation against Metawin yet, what if Metawin listed in that thread with on progress or active status? Tongue

The idea isn’t about going against any specific casinos; it’s more about giving people a link to check out before they sign up anywhere. This way, good casinos actually benefit, as players are less likely to fall into bad ones, steering them toward trustworthy options. The thread will show the reasons behind scam accusations, and we’re assuming that anyone who’s gambling is mature enough to understand and evaluate the accusations for themselves. Then they can decide if they want to proceed or avoid.

With no incentives attached, very few forum users will wear a sig with good intentions and zero rewards, and my reference to my answer is from the "not your keys, not your coins" and besides I think anybody going into the gambling industry needs to do more of their personal due diligence than being baby sitted unlike all these awareness campaigns.

Exactly, this isn’t for everyone, it’s for those who genuinely care about protecting users and helping them avoid scams. This campaign’s purpose isn’t to push or tear down any casino but to build a safer space where the community raises awareness for newcomers. It’s a cause, not a promotion.

The idea is good OP however there will only be few to join this campaign if they seen its not a paid one. Agreed with mindtrust here, those potential scam list on gambling site that has thread here can be tagged.

Nevertheless having a signature design for awareness is likely good especially if its being broadcast here by users(Legendary/Hero) for bigger emphasis on it and large visuals.
Few is better than none. I consider it as a positive start.

no one prevents you from launching such a campaign, or from carrying such a signature for free. maybe more members will join if they see it with you.

although I don't see how signatures with the 1xbit for example name will change anything in relation to them, even a bad ad is still an ad

In short, create a list of good services and remember that gambling is risky.

Thanks for the suggestion, but people do tend to remember the few scammy ones more easily than the list of the  good ones. The signature linking to that thread will be a quick reference for anyone who wants to check things out before signing up.

There are already some free signature campaigns and adding more of them will not solve the problem. +  You cannot solve the problem by making a list of scam services, the best solution is to consider all services as scam except the reliable ones and then search for the reliable services and make a list of them.

I've been checking the scam accusation board now and then, and I noticed @holydarkness is pretty active there. I just found out he keeps a list of casinos and their scam accusations with status updates. Since over 90% of the signature campaigns on the forum are from the gambling section, why not have a signature that spreads awareness too? It could help users avoid casinos with open scam accusations.

If you’re into the idea, I know some people are already in campaigns, like me, but there are still active users waiting for a new campaign to join, so they could wear it for free. Our goal here is to make the forum a place where we promote awareness about scam casinos. This way, people can check here first to see which casinos have a clean reputation (no outstanding scam accusations). You might have noticed a lot of newbies starting threads in scam accusations board, especially about casinos like 1xBet, just because they didn’t know it was a scam. But if they saw users wearing a signature about the "list of casinos with scam accusations," they’d check it directly from our signatures. One click, and they’d know which casinos to avoid.

What do you think? I really believe this could be a big help to the community.

Btw, if we compare our online crypto casino's to real life businesses, I am 100% sure that someone somewhere will always have something negative to say about a business especially if it serves 100s or 1000s of customer's..so this is a double edged sword 🗡️.

If people see this forum helping users know which casinos to avoid, they’ll keep coming back. Who knows, it might even help boost the forum’s overall traffic, which has been dropping lately.
I don't think so.

We could start from who will wear the signature and being active?

Users who currently not in a campaign will choose to participate in free campaign with bonus for few top posters or promoting the campaign manager in order to increase the chance for being accepted in their paid campaign.

We can use @holydarkness’s thread as a reference since it’s kept updated. No need for extra effort -- he’s already putting in the work to help the community. And since we all benefit from the money casinos bring in through signature campaigns, it makes sense to make this forum a trusted place for finding reputable casinos and spreading scam awareness. It’s like protecting our investment. If people see this forum helping users know which casinos to avoid, they’ll keep coming back. My idea’s a bit different. We should focus on listing the casinos that don’t have a good reputation. Most review sites include a lot of casinos, even ones that aren’t advertising here on the forum. But human nature is like this...we tend to pay more attention to a list of scams rather than a list of good casinos.
So you want to have a signature campaign of a platform where users get updated information about the scam casinos that are still active and scam users? That's not a bad idea, but I believe someone has to work on a site where he/she has to do enough research to find all those scams personally not by reading others scam accusations, and that can cost money and time if I'm not wrong.

You can design a signature for it, launch a campaign, no payment, and community members can support you by wearing the signature if they want. First they need to feel interested in your signature and its helpfulness, and second they need to be currently free from any paid signature campaign.

Some campaign managers and some platforms have their no-payment signature campaigns like this.

OrangeFren
R7 Promotion
PeachBitcoin

That campaigns inspired me since users wore signatures for free. So why not do the same for something that helps the forum and spreads awareness? As for the design, I’m not really good at that, but I’m hoping someone skilled will find this idea interesting and maybe create the design for free.

The person who makes a site like that should have to deposit money in all of the scam casinos and place some bets there and then try to withdraw the money. I believe such thing can be risky as well because the person who might do something like that may also end up losing money on casinos that are only there to scam users and aren't legit ones.

Why not to instead focus on a site like Bitlist.co which only gives information about the casinos that are legit and have been tested by many people who trust those casinos and they've proven over the years that they are legit casinos not the scam ones. However, if someone has a lot of money to spend and time to test all casinos then that's not a bad thing either.

I believe we already have something similar on our forum managed by reputed campaign manager Icopress. If you check Bitlist.co then that's most similar to what you are trying to say in this thread. In Bitlist.co you can find information about all those casinos that are legit and reputed ones and that signature and the site contain updated information about the casinos and other platforms that are legit ones.
