We are more focused on bitcoin than ever as most of the users wants to invest into bitcoin assuming a bull run post halving but nit many are planning to invest into altcoins, I think we need to focus on altcoins as well as there are coins like Tron, ADA and all which can pump anytime and priced extremely less as of now and even if bitcoin pumps it will have positive affect on altcoins as well so I think we should invest into reputed altcoins as well.

ETH is the best choice at the moment. The biggest update in coins history is going to see the light very soon, other altcoins do not seem attractive, because they do not have any announcements in the nearest future.

It would matter on someones financial capability and to their own decision towards investment. If he do tends to diversify then he would reconsider on putting up some funds
to alts rather than solely focusing on btc itself.

People get used to jumped into the boat when theres a big event to happen.Common mindset is not to missed up the another possible pumped which do happened before on year 2017
and we cant remove on ones mind to have those perceptions to foresee the possible profits that might gave it into us.

investing in altcoin is still needed because there are still some altcoins that provide benefits too, although not much. maybe the potential is more on altcoin that has a good rating so at the moment I'm also just focusing on a few altcoins that have a rating in the market, with the aim of finding the potential among altcoins that have that rating

where you find this information party because I didn't see any growth in altcoins market and most of the cryptocurrencies where falling from their actual value to ground level rate from the past 1 to 2 years.
So while choosing that few altcoins also kindly focus to sell that coins as soon as possible.
Investing in an altcoins is really very risky and we don't know if the value will go up because some investors choose to dump their token/coins and panic selling if they see just a little bit of loss in value.

And more reason to do a research first before investing because maybe in the future the value will soon be rise up and only few altcoins has potential and solid team and community. And definitely the value could increase and pumps up in no time if there is a lot of supporters.

why not, many people say that but not the new Altcoin, it only applies to old Altcoins and is listed in the top coinmarketcap, many I have invested are some Altcoins that have good potential because their development, promotion and team are very active until now, so speaking for investment do not choose the wrong make sure they are still active that's all
But we still have expectations for the top and reputable altcoin.  The market has gone through a dark period, perhaps it is screening and selecting reputable altcoins to be able to continue in the market.  Spending a small investment on it is safer.
Just choose the top 10 cryptocurrency on the marketcap except for the stable coins because you can't make a good profit from them. Accumulate more altcoins and bitcoin since the market is in dip you can buy it since the price is cheap. Just stay away with those shitcoins if you really want to earn a profit in the future.

That is the reason why you and we are here, investing in crypto is a good thing for now, indeed we are too focused on BTC price movements which have an effect on altcoins in general, and I agree to invest other than major coins like TRON, ADA , or modern tokens like BNB, EOS. However, all still need the right calculation considering that not all altcoins can bring profit to every user who invests. And now so many coins and tokens are born into each market, and every user, especially those who have their capital, take the initiative to make their own exchanger and token / coin by adopting today's exchanger technology. It is very difficult to determine what altcoins are right for investment.

Not really a must but recommended, that we all take a look at promising altcoins in the market, we have a saying don't put all your eggs in one basket, and Bitcoin is not the only highly potential coin in the market, although it's dominance is pretty obvious, these altcoins are also progressing with their development.

Point is in which altcoin you will invest? Right now there is tsunami of altcoin on coinmarketcap.com and many have invested in sh*t coins because of there low price.
There are only handful altcoins on which everyone has consent that they are safe to buy (like ethereum, litecoin). My primary investment coin is always Bitcoin because its the oldest one, has huge market cap, and dominate the crypto market.

Even in this current bitcoin price condition some altcoins are rising with it's own because the community is getting bigger and people are seeing potential from altcoins such as NRG right now it is on fire and people are pumping it hard. So i think we should invest in altcoin while we wait bitcoin halving to touch the market.

you know bitcoin will pump because of halving next year, but you choose altcoin because you predict it is going to pump too. do not you think it is funny? you choose something that is not certain and leaving the golden opportunity in front of you because of your prediction. trader always looks for profit, be wise with every action you make because it will be your downfall if you do not do it carefully.

I don't think bitcoin will pump on same year with their halving. Bitcoin was always pumped so high after halving hapened on the next year.

Trust me OP, I've invested in some altcoin as you say but none of them bring me much profit until now. Being on top altcoins doesn't mean that coin will be safer than other coins
yes, the pump usually will happen a year after the halving, but right now I am giving an example to people that think they will get a ton of profit by holding altcoin when they do not know what will happen to the altcoin.

This is bitcoin time, so bitcoin gets more attention than altcoins. so, most of altcoin would be dump as you can see
just several altcoins can go pump in this time, even top altcoin can't go pump too

but, most of altcoins is just pump and dump. especially when there is any news or good thing happens
the coin hyped and then pump so crazy, after that dump so hard and cant get up again.

Investing bitcoin right now is the right cheap price in a few weeks have you bought it from now because when bitcoin has started to pump then you will regret it too late.
for altcoin it is not necessary to depend on bitcoin increase we all know that altcoin is indeed experiencing a drastic decline but the short term is good if you are strong then do it.

I don't think everyone here is just hanging out with bitcoin.
in altcoins we invest in the same way but do you wonder if the market is bad? Undecided
not me because the alts bleed like crazy and who invests currently must reckon with the total loss.
well, that can happen with bitcoin, but the risk is certainly greater with almost all alts.

Why focus in altcoins if everyone is focusing in bitcoin? I mean you can focus in bitcoin but at the same time invest to altcoins of your choice. You can diversify into altcoins but don't be over hype with what you're hearing with those altcoins.

I'm also an altcoin investor but I'm more focused with bitcoin because I know what I'm doing. If bitcoin pumps, other alts will also get affected but it's easier to look into bitcoin prices. And if you're hearing trying to convince others and focus with altcoins, I don't think that many will follow that advice.

agree with all your opinions
I only invest in altcoin top 10 coinmarketcap for me it was enough to be able to focus more on making money. if I think bitcoin pump altcoin in the top 10 that will first look affected in the market
but there are still altcoins that are not on the top 100 but they are worth it to invest our money. Next bull run, some altcoins on the top 100 will be de thrown on thier spot.

I don't see any value those altcoins can offer. I also don't see how they can pump any time as you said. When Bitcoin pumps, these alts are probably gonna down in BTC value, mostly keeping their USD value the same. As long as there is no alts with real, usable, relevant innovation I'm not pouring more money into alts.

It's getting harder and harder to pump altcoins because a) you need a lot of money and b) you need others on the same exchange to follow, and usually they just don't.

It's different from the olden days when there were really only three main alt exchanges (Cryptsy, Mintpal and Poloniex) and it was easy to organise a pump across them all.
