We all know that 2022 has not been friendly to the cryptocurrency market, Bitcoin, being the top ranked lost over 60 percent from its all time high value.
Many altcoins have also lost more than half the value they had in 2021, the several occurrences in the cryptocurrency industry caused several bloodbath we experienced in most parts of the year 2022.

But I am optimistic concerning 2023, I foresee a major breakout for Bitcoin and several other top altcoins, and some new altcoins that are really promising..

And speaking of new altcoins, ive been investing in Renec in preparation for 2023, Renec blockchain is one of the best projects I've found so far, the project was fully launched in October 2022, since then, usage and activities on the Renec blockchain has been increasing day after after, it's one project I wouldn't want any body to miss, so I urge you all to check it, you can start your research by joining their community on discord - https://discord.gg/Vw9ykjAWGh

So, how are you preparing for 2023, what or which altcoin are you buying in preparation for 2023?

It's 2023 already, and crypto is still experiencing a bloodbath in market prices. In these tough times, it's recommended to just keep buying and holding prominent coins for long term profits. That is if you have extra money to spare. I've been focusing on accumulating as much BTC and ETH as I can to prepare myself for the next bull market. I know there's a possibility market prices will continue to decline, especially when central banks will keep raising interest rates (mainly The FED). But that won't matter if you look into what's at stake for crypto in the future.

Despite the recent turmoil, banks and companies haven't lost their interest in crypto/Blockchain tech. They're still investing heavily into this emerging technology as they know it's the way of the future. Many weak hands are selling due to FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt), but what's important is that you don't sell no matter what. Who knows if you'll be the one laughing at the end when crypto takes over the world (especially Bitcoin) as the standard unit of account? Just my opinion Smiley

Would you say the market is now in recovery or potential bull trap? I see you mentioned btc, wouldn't you oppose btc as a form of payment due to easily tracked via blockchain? Thanks for any help,

My plan is to ride all of the trending coins in this current year, I missed a lot of opportunities last year and that's why I have now a detailed plan on how I can ride the opportunities around me. I did a lot of backtesting in my strategies in technical analysis where I created a thesis on what setup should I play in order for me to maximize the gains that I can get.

I am sure that there are a lot of altcoins that will go crazy gain and I now keep watching to the possible altcoins that can go up like a 1000% and above gains. Being prepared is what we should do in this early quarter of the year for us to not miss opportunities in the 2023.

In the new year of encryption, I will continue to accumulate more bitcoins for investment, and I still believe that it will bring good returns. Wouldn't invest in new altcoins, especially if you're consistently losing money during a bear market, stay away from them until a real bull market arrives.

Even though 2022 was a bad year for cryptocurrencies, this does not mean that 2023 will be better. Of course, this does not mean that something will be bad in 2023, no, it’s just that at the moment I don’t see the prerequisites for, for example, a new rise in prices for cryptocurrencies. While the world is in crisis, all markets will experience problems. However, I am interested in something else, namely that in 2023 there may be new crypto-currencies and crypto projects, and so I would very much like to be the first to receive information about them. I believe that in difficult times, you also need to pay attention to new projects and cryptocurrencies, perhaps some of them will be successful and will provide an opportunity to make good money in 2023. So I'm getting ready to look for new cryptocurrencies and crypto projects.
now it's early 2023 and everything looks fine and there is a slight recovery in crypto prices, but whatever dominates the market is going up a bit at this point.
to participate or invest in new projects in a season like this is very risky if held for the long term. because not much can survive these bearish times especially new projects. but if it's for short-term investing, it's possible that you still have a good chance of making a profit.
Currently, the crypto market is recovering and of course that is the news we are waiting for,
I hope the trend goes up even if slowly and we'll see how it develops,
The important thing is to always do your research first.

Before you decide to invest DYOR is your best tool, like the statement above you, whatever dominated the market as long as you are prepared and you know what to do, your investment still safe. What matters here is you did not allow your emotions which mostly place most investors at risk each time the market dump down.

Both financial and mental prepareness are the solid tools that you need to keep while waiting for your set targets.

My plan is to go with the flow. No one can tell what the future holds. I'm still tentatively planning to save a quarter of my salary for investment. It was one-third before, and I don't think the market is any different from last year. I think in addition to investing in Bitcoin, I will choose to invest more in gold.
Proposing to invest a part of your salary is a good idea, but I think a fixed amount is not necessary, vary it as per the market price of bitcoin while keeping a fixed ceiling of the max investment value. Not every month will have bitcoin at the good buying points so you might not invest even a single penny.

Gold is a good investment too, it has its own pros and cons and one must diversify into different asset classes to get the maximum output from the portfolio. In crypto keep yourself limited to bitcoin, a new year will never bring good news for any altcoin but only lows and more lows.

Keep tabs on every investment sector. For those of us who are in the long term game, we need to be at the front with every one of them.

I won't mind if bitcoin has fallen by more than 60% it will definitely return to its best price again whereas if altcoins have dropped after or more then I will be worried it is difficult to recover even though they have developed several programs, a little what I understand altcoins wouldn't add too much value to my portfolio except ETH and BNB which have been around for a long time whereas for new projects I don't want to jump back into investing in them.

There's no guarantee that even if they have a blockchain developed I won't be interested at all, so for 2023 my plan is to see a breakthrough in bitcoin price movement.
As a person who has not experienced losses from Bitcoin's decline, I agree with you. I hope to get some low-priced chips, take this opportunity to get on the car, and make a 3-5 year plan. The basic investment method is to buy $150 of Bitcoin on the 20th of each month (salary payment day), Maybe it will continue to do so in the future. Every March, I take out a little bit to buy my wife a birthday present. Finally leave it to my kids.

2022 had been a great year for the crypto world but those who fall victims of seemingly great projects crash wouldn't see it that way. The victims of Terra UST and LUNA crash, series of DeFi hacks, FTX crash and those holding a significant sum of Solana coin will see 2022 as not being a blessed year for them.
Despite all that, 2023 will be great as bitcoin has since the final week of 2022 being stable at about $16,500. And 2023 is the year preceding the year of the next Bitcoin halving, the time to fill up our bags is now in anticipation for a great time that has nearly arrived.

HOLD - that seems the best way to do it during this time OP. I didn't see that 2023 is a good year for crypto nor I was expecting big this year. Accumulation may be going to continue but we should be on the limitation. My bag is already filled with altcoins and I guess it is enough. All I gonna do now is wait for the next bull season.
I'd never keep watching the market chart, I don't like to create tension because I don't want to get influenced by the chart and the negative news that I heard around.

Same as I prepared for 2022 and 2021 and 2020 and basically past 5 years. I buy the good coins that I believe that will stay strong, not just make me rich because that is a wrong approach but what would make me not lose a lot, and would stay strong compared to others, keep the rank basically. That is bitcoin and ethereum and bnb for now, added a few small ones that would be shilling if I named them because they are not good yet, but hopefully they will be, and they are tiny enough that if they are zero today, it wouldn't hurt me much.

I keep buying them and I will keep holding them until 2030 as well and I will probably hold some more after that too if I do not need the money.
This is the right way to invest, a long term approach is needed not only when it comes to the time we are going to hold our coins, this long term approach is also needed when buying as investing is not something you do once and then you are done with it, investing is something you could do weekly or monthly, and while this approach is not exciting if it is strictly followed it will generate incredible profits, but sadly very few people are interested in doing something like this because as Buffett said once “Nobody wants to get rich slowly”
Thank you for your kind words. I agree that people are aware of how to get rich, and they just don't do it which is shocking to me. I know that with this method I would be richer than most people I know when I am 70 years old, but they want to be rich before 30, so why would they wait until 70 and don't do it.

Well, simple answer is this; I do not know any way that could make me rich before 30, but I know a method that would make me wealthy when I am 70. So why not do the thing I already know that will make me wealthy, and instead just risk it and lose all my money while trying to be rich now? That just doesn't make sense to me at all, it is not even a question to me.

I guess accumulation is the way to go, there's nothing much we can do for 2023 anyway, we still don't know if this gonna be great year, even though i might've lost quite the money in this current bearish, I'd still like to make up for it, maybe in 2023 it's gonna be year full of bullish and good fortunes.
Yes, it was really hard to speculate what will happen this year because of many factors that could affect the price momentum;
 - war (Russia and Ukraine)
 - economic crisis
 - market inflation
 - the ongoing fight against Covid-19

As long as they still exist, it was hard to put back the market on the rally. I would say that 2023 might not be a good year for crypto but, of course, I hope for something new to see in the market, not just red colors and negative news.

Prepared some money to use it to buy Bitcoin and invest, in 2023 we expect the win of Bitcoin and other Altcoins to escape from the Bear Market, and now of course we are raising money to buy and continue to buy to hold in the next year and the following year.
It's really good decision to buy Bitcoin in this year. I think investment on Bitcoin is always profitable but it needs time. Most of the people don't hold for being profitable. As price is still near hand to fill our portfolio, I will buy Bitcoin also for following years.

I think the best way is to have a lot of extra funds in case the BTC goes much deeper, we never know when it will pump up but there is a possibility that it will go more than 15k within this year. There is no signal yet but just to be sure we are ready.
