Aside from BNB, there is really no need to trust these exchange tokens when you think about it. BNB is a great one because Binance is the biggest exchange token out there, it's the third biggest cryptocurrency and it is also a prime coin to have tokens under its chain as well.

When you combine all of those together it becomes obvious that you should be using that to make as much money as you possibly could, that way you could make a profit quickly. However, we are going to end up with a result that will not be simple, I think it's quite important to focus on what type of profit you could make with it, and that should be very important, the problem is that people do not let it be like that and focus on higher risk stuff.

this year has been quite turbulent for some altcoins, especially exchange tokens. I've invested in a few and performance-wise, only a handful of them have shown decent growth throughout the year.
Since we are still in the bearish season, we can understand if exchange tokens can increase their prices as expected. Moreover, after the case of FTX, most crypto coins decrease their values quite significantly, especially the exchange tokens. Even worse, Binance also got a problem, SEC sued Binance due to misappropriation of customer funds. This makes the popularity of exchange tokens be decreasing more and more. So, we can understand if the performance of exchange tokens is getting worse.

Do you have any exchange tokens in your holdings, and what are your thoughts on their market performance this year?
I only hold 2 exchange tokens, BNB and TKO.

I still hold BNB, because it is Binance coin (the number 1 exchange in the world). Sure, BNB looks decreasing much after Binance has an issue with SEC. But I'm sure Binance will fix the problem as soon as possible. Changpeng Zhao should have a solution to deal with the SEC accusation. Moreover, it is about the customer funds, SEC will be difficult to prove the misappropriation.

While for TKO. It is the token of Tokocrypto, our local exchange. I think the price still has the potential to grow because Tokocrypto is developing very well. It becomes the number 1 local exchange in my country after having partnered with Binance. And Tokocrypto always plans some interesting programs, it attract more people to join. On the other hand, TKO also has a good role in Tokocrypto exchange.

Very few of the altcoins hit the market and most are victims of the altcoin scam. But it's true that this year has been quite turbulent for some altcoins, especially exchange tokens. I have quite a few exchange tokens, but so far, the price hasn't risen yet, so  I hold and sell when the price goes up.I used to trade more on BNB coins.  Exchange tokens are currently performing really poorly in my opinion.  Even bullish ones sometimes don't have much of a chance for them to increase in value instead.
its I guess because these kind of token which is exchanges token are usually having minimalistic utility, only limited token are actually useful like BNB for subscription towards their launchpads, some exchanges token out there just act for like giving some discount when using the platforms which is I think rather useless. moreover, the only thing that makes BNB stand out compared with the other exchanges token is probably the fact that its got its own smart contract blockchain.
the fact that its got its binance smart chain heavily adds utility towards the coin itself, unlike the other similar exchanges token out there.
I guess thats why the only exchange token thats good is BNB.

I'm personally not a fan of buying and holding altcoins for a very long period of time, in my portfolio, only Bitcoin has that spot and I don't add other cryptocurrencies in that category, but I do buy and sell them for short term, and since I've been only using Binance for the most part, I've had bought some BNB after the crash when the price recovered a little bit from $16k to $24k, but I didn't hold them for long and sold them back after booking some profit.

My spouse had bought BNB recently before the SEC had sued Binance and that made the price of BNB crash badly and now she is stuck with her investment. This is the most probable reason why I don't hold altcoins for the long term because I know that things can go wrong at any time with them.
You do well to have that policy, altcoins are simply too unstable and when it comes to exchange tokens their performance could be affected on the future due to the regulations the SEC could impose to exchanges and their coins, this is what has many investors worried and it caused the drop in the price of coins like BNB, still if you have already enough bitcoin and you have some spare cash then investing in BNB can be a good choice, as long as you are willing to sell them at the first sign there could be some trouble.

I have to sell FTT with a huge loss due FTX incident. Also, BNB reached $650 last year. But this year majority of users are not trusting CEX tokens. They are focusing on L2 projects to hunt the main net airdrops.

The Bear market really deal with my portfolio, must my exchange token has turned close to zero in value's, but I no one day they we start raising as crypto market recovery. Base on the current situation of market is good to buy more, and for a new investors, congratulations for them, because they are in good position to buy at a very cheap price, with the initial capital can go a long way for them.

I own several exchange coins, but they haven't been performing well. I admit that I made some poor choices when buying them. Instead of purchasing reputable coins like BNB, I opted for cheaper, newer ones, which unfortunately failed to attract traders to their platform. This taught me a valuable lesson: always conduct thorough research before investing in any exchange coins. However, if you possess highly reputable exchange coins, it is advisable to hold onto them patiently for more favorable returns during the next bull run.
If I can recall back in 2017, I was just like going partly investing in BNB, but it ain't really my fancy since it isn't really that much being mentioned aside from being an "exchange crypto". I sold it anyway around 2018-2019 the day that I started day trading, but turned out into shit experience but memorable somehow.

I would still go for exchange tokens if I would be given a choice between some random coins out there especially NFTs. Not really a fan of it.

Before, I was into exchanging tokens like BNB and FTT.
But on what happened to FTT (FTX Exchange) my attention started to shift to most Decentralised Finance (DeFi) project tokens.

I think exchange tokens right now are bleeding especially because of the current issue of Binance to the U.S.

For me, if I ever just invest in any exchange token, I will select the OG exchanges which are KCS (KUCOIN).

It has had a rough year, losing over 60% of its value since January 2023. This is due to a number of factors, including the overall decline in the crypto market, recent economic changes, and increasing supply.

The token is down from its all-time high in November 2021.

Despite the recent declines, I still believe that these tokens have the potential to be good investments. They are still very popular, and the team is constantly working to improve the economy. I think that they could recover their losses and reach new highs in the future.

I had some kucoin tokens before the start of the bear market and they have done very awful but that's because the market is bearish for all cryptocurrency so I'm not bothered but I'll be selling them to buy more BNB, the current value of BNB is very attractive because BNB is a good project as it has utility with Binance exchange as you can use your BNB to pay for less fees.
Also you can use BNB to get slots for Launchpad projects and Binance exchange has some of the best launchpad project because there are many investors waiting on the exchange to list the launchpad project so they can buy and hold. All launchpad project on Binance does very well when they start trading and this add more money to investors of the projects.
All exchange tokens will be performing badly as the rest of the market is performing badly, now isn't the time to look at how a coin is performing but a time to use in accumulating all the project that you have interest in because during the bull market they'll do very well and if you didn't buy them now, you'll regret when they're giving big profits to those that invested in them.

these exchanges tokens from my experience are performing really bad in general, even in bullish sometime they don't even have to chance to get their value up instead, they'd be just stagnant, i've learnt a thing or two from the fact that some exchanges coin are just there for utility not for investment.
since the exchanges themselves only give the utility to the coin to be utilized within the platform and thats it, no innovation in the future, nothing, so I guess i'd just instead stick with investing with smart contract coin that have been showing great progression and potential, i guess they are just better, though with exception of the fact that exchanges coin like BNB always have event for subscription into some new project presale which might increase its value but regardless, its still hardly increase in value.

I don't own any of them [exchange tokens], but some of them may perform well in terms of price. I didn't check all the exchange tokens - but it seems that BNB is one of those tokens that can give you returns due to its price volatility.

I know BNB has performed well from at least mid-December 2022 to mid-April 2023 - but since then BNB has lost so much value that I have doubts about how to convince you of this token in the long term.

The token I'm holding now is Eth, XRP, and Dot. The Ethereum gives me a decent profit while the XRP didn't give me a huge profit, but the Dot gives me a little bit of loss. So, these three tokens I'm still holding and waiting for the market to be made better and I could get a decent profit from all three.

To be honest I don't really like investing in exchange based tokens or coins at the moment. And the reason for this is that these exchange based tokens are performing very poorly even though the effects are everywhere due to the bear market now. However if I talk about my coins the current condition of my holdings is not very good as it is currently more than three times below its all time high price.  So I would say avoid investing in such coins or tokens for now and if you want to invest long term then invest in Bitcoin. And wait for the bull run.

I have no exchange token holding in the current year and this quality token is out of my choice now. A few years ago I bought a lot of exchange tokens but all of them were actually losses because after a few days they scammed and ran away. In fact there are very good best exchanges where there are real investors and volume so there is no need for a new exchange but they can run it after the success of a project.

I will vote pawswap every month or every week, because this is the best strategy
The price of pawswap is perfect for buying the dip right now, this is a bullish coin for the future
