thats the thing with many exchanges token in general they don't really move until bullrun is coming, the only thing that could make them move is if there is some event involving the token itself.
like for example is BNB, it recently moves when there are two project about to get launched in their platform and it caused some effect towards the BNB coin itself.
thats why when investing in some of these exchanges token in general, its better to see whether the token itself have that much utility and is being used widely in platform and frequently like how BNB
was being used heavily for getting the share of new tokens in general.
All coins, including exchange tokens, are waiting for the arrival of a new bull run to be able to move, and when the bull run has not indicated when it will come, the exchange tokens are still silent and still waiting. BNB is still not moving up as the bitcoin price is dropping again after it climbed to $29k yesterday. But right now, with the drop in the bitcoin price, it looks like the bitcoin price is going back to $28k, which could make the exchange tokens prices go down as well. So we're still holding on to that exchange token, maybe we can buy some more at another low, but that depends on how deep the price goes down.

this year has been quite turbulent for some altcoins, especially exchange tokens. I've invested in a few and performance-wise, only a handful of them have shown decent growth throughout the year. How about you? Do you have any exchange tokens in your holdings, and what are your thoughts on their market performance this year? Let's discuss our experiences and perspectives on how these tokens have been faring in this volatile market.

I currently don't have any exchange tokens except for some bnb for transactions but I plan to a buy a good number of different exchange tokens for next few months. I have had good experience with centralized exchange tokens but some huge losses with dex tokens. Pancakebunny(scam) and Panckaeswap(still a good investment in low price) were disastrous investment. I'll be trying to get a 75% centralized and 25% dex tokens for the next bull run.

The last exchange-based token I've hold was Nominex glad that I dumped it before a huge crash even Kucoin or KCS suffered a huge drop only Binance backed token is doing great in the market and the real exchange-based token that has real potential in the market, but we never know CEX is here to stay there could be a time where these exchange based token will have a strong showing, right now we are in the MEME and AI era, this is where investors are looking more to invest.

I have some exchange tokens, but until now, the price still hasn't increased. But I'm grateful to be able to buy it at such a low price that this situation doesn't affect me too much. I'm just still waiting for the price to rise until it reaches its highest ATH. Then I will sell it. But before the highest ATH price is reached, I'm fine to keep waiting and holding the exchange token. Current market conditions are still difficult to predict, so exchange tokens also cannot move. So just waiting is all we can do.

Having several but only from certain exchanges which are I really use and trust them. However like other altcoins right now, the price is still dropped and it seems like they still need more times to go back stronger again and rise up as expected. But fortunately, I am sure enough that those exchange tokens have high potential and are worth it to wait and invest. Because they are some of the reputable exchanges both globally and also locally in my country. The most favorite exchange coin I have is the BNB which I am sure is a worth to invest.

But if this is about CEX tokens, I think that I don't have any of them. This is not about how much we have the exchange tokens or coins, but what kind of coins or tokens we are investing.. because not all exchange coins or tokens will have similar worth to wait.

I haven't held any exchange tokens in recent times. Considering the fact that majority of them haven't done so well this year, I'd say I was lucky especially since I was a big fan of Binance and BNB. Until the market conditions changes for the better, I don't think tokens in this category will do so well. I'm sure binance is even considering their famous BNB burn have had positive impacts on BNB tokens.

If either the SEC or US government manages to take down Binance, other exchange tokens should plunged. Uncertain times.

I mean I think they are right in line with every other coin here.  Way off it's all time high and pretty much flat lining.  In a market like this there isn't much money to be made in the short term.  If ypu are really bullish on one of them then now is the time for accumulation.  Profits will come later.

Yes, I have exchange tokens in my holdings, most notably the Binance platform currency. Unfortunately, I had invested BNB in order to participate in the SUI Launchpad, and after that the FUD event caused by the SEC, which led to a sharp drop in the price of BNB from the peak of $333, which led to my loss reaching more than -25%, frankly, I did not prefer exchange tokens because any exchange may be exposed to bankruptcy, regulatory pressure, or hacking, which will negatively affect the exchange token that the investor invests in, but there are things that make a person want to profit and reap returns and turn a blind eye to potential risks like participating in Launchpad and Launchpool and others, I have not lost certainty yet because the BNB token is one of the top tokens in the market, although it was classified as a security by the SEC, but it is highly likely that it will win like XRP and return better than it was and achieve a new ATH, and regardless of the SEC battle, the tokens of the exchanges currently did not gain the appropriate acquisition and it is certain that they will explode one day if the exchange team is as strong as Binance and knows what it is doing.

I do not have any exchange tokens in my portfolio and i think it might be unwise to hodl too many exchange tokens, i know that quite a lot of people have been lucky with them and the exchange token they were hodling pumped because there was some hype around the exchange itself that issues the token. Anyway it is pertinent to understand that exchange tokens can fail if the exchange that issues them runs into problems with authorities and collapses, i'd rather hodl a coin whose success or failure is not tied to an exchange.

I am holding bnb exchange tokens. For now I could say they are worth to hold while in the midst of the bear market as they launch many project tokens on their launchpool and launchpad which tive edge to bnb users to claim and farm more. These tokens are new projects that might do a little good in the upcoming bull run so why not claim some of it rigt.

Exchange tokens are not investment tokens, but assets that the platform prints and burns from time to time to provide liquidity, and some buy them to reduce trading fees within CEXs, as it cannot be traded on a large scale or a large number of platforms, in addition to its price being linked to the platform, which makes it centralized. It can be invested when there is an event that will cause an increase in its price, such as an expansion of the platform’s activity, an increase in the number of users, or any reason that makes you believe that its price will increase. Here, you buy it for a short time that does not exceed a month, and you sell it after that.

The price of the CEX token depends on how the ecosystem and the features they offer, so with the current state of CEX that we know, we can already assess how the price performance of the CEX tokens is.

Do I have CEX tokens? not at all for now, but I had $BNB 2 years ago and luckily at that time Binance was getting a lot of exposure from the crypto public which made the price skyrocket and created new ATHs regularly.

IMO, this year isn't the right year to hold CEX tokens because as we know there are lots of new cases made by the SEC, it's not impossible that the CEX whose tokens we own will be affected.

That's true though, the sec issues stopped the momentum on BNB. I sold. Large chunk of mine earlier. Nevertheless though, the recent tokeninsight reports rated some exchange tokens highly. Seen the report?
The SEC regulations make it an uncertain time to hold CEX tokens quite frankly but when you look at the utilities some of them offer, you’d be compelled to hold them and follow the SEC updates. Some of them have also performed remarkably, according to TokenInsights BGB has outperformed other CEX tokens this year, while OKB ranks second. Unfortunately BNB hasn’t been so impressive as Binance keeps facing stiff regulations.
Yeah I read the report and I was intrigued. Kudos to bitget for holding it steady amidst th bear market and I' hope binance's BNB bounces back in no time.

I hold a few of them just for the sake of doing some random investing in these types of tokens. I am not expecting a lot from it and I'm ready to lose it if the market is stirred up. I am not sure if I'd say it's doing good or not but in my portfolio balance, I am currently at a loss with it.
And as you've said in your other post, I am holding BNB and that's just it. Whatever comes and whatever happens on it, I'll just lightly going to accept it since that's what I think is the right reaction to what's happening on it lately. Maybe I'd get some chunk as well during the bull run.

Exchange token is a riskier game at the moment with all the lawsuits against Coinbase and Binance. I know there are different CEX but it's probably just a matter of time before SEC comes after them. I wouldn't recommend buying now but if you already have it then you may just stick it out until a ruling is out. The Ripple decision may play a role in a favorable decision.

I got out from most of them, but a month or two ago I bought some BSW again at $0.13-$0.14... now it's $0.08. I guess most of alts are hitting their bottoms, so it's definitely a good time for some buying... of course, the prices can drop even more, it's the constant dilemma in our heads, to buy/sell now or to wait a bit more. Anyway, I have some BSW on staking for now and that's it, I don't have other tokens from other exchanges.

Will you employ DCA strategy? I think patience is needed though. For me, BGB has been the consistent performer in my portfolio. Turning out to be my best choice of purchase this year
