This year there are many ICO projects that are surviving, and some are hardly to get the target soft cap of the projects, ICO project is not bad at all but there are some extention to ICO projects forcthe sell of tokens, that is why some of the bounty campaigners are complaining what happen to projects does it success or failed  because of long time advisory.

News headline says "76% of This Year’s ICOs Are Already Under Water"  and most of these are ICOs launched at the first quarter of this year.
If you’re going to invest in an ICO, then, the message is clear: be selective, choose blockchain projects over anything else and make sure you get into the pre-sale. Otherwise, you’ll be wasting your time and your ethereum.

ICOs are doing great too this year, i don't think ICOs are bad, as you said, be selective, you should be selective too before you want to join an ICO, it's because if don't do that, you might join and participate in scam ICO

It is really hard to determine since there are many ICOs that are being released in the market. But it is true that many ICOs on the beginning of this year are mostly failed and some are scams. But this issue is innevitable and is the risk on ICOs. Also ,investors are also losing profit at times like this because most of the ico tokens' market value are falking upon being released which is due to the market volatility of cryptos.

There was some good potentially ICO that had failed! Like Gilgamesh, Utemis. The fact is the crypto market was incredibly down! That's why investors stopped investing. The market still not good enough. I think the first Half of 2018  wasn't good for ICO project except few. Let's see what happens next. But I hope everything will be ok.

I believe that news headline is true.
2018's ICOs are prepared in 2017 which was the time when hypes were on the top level. those would have been bad businesses.
and I also believe that bright times for ICOs will come due to scam projects are reducing that caused by the effect of banning policy of mainstream social medias.

so be patient.. Wink

Some of them are very bad, some of them have no even team or good web, I cannot imagine if there is someone who is investing in such projects, they are obvious scams, but on the other hand there are a lot of good ideas, for example Ambit Mining is live now, and it is very promising.
What happens is that people do not see the risks because they want to earn money no matter what, there are many people that do not care if a project is a scam as long as they earn money with it, that is a huge mistake but there are a lot of people that think like that in the forum which is a shame, this is why those projects keep surviving because people keep investing in them.

that's what I'm thinking, why some ICOs are now bad. is it possible because of the waves that occur, or because too many scams? is it possible that ICO does not reach Softcap Even Hardcap makes ICO become bad even he considered a scam?

To be honest and just telling what is the truth, the bad thing about ICO (Initial Coin Offering) is there are lots of people use this business as a modus wherein they will steal your money.
In other words scam, which is very prominent in our generation.

You can't really group all the ICO's into one category.  There will be some that shine this year and some that will flop or under perform.  Do extensive research before investing into any ICO to minimize your risks.

the worst of ICO are those that deceived their investors, and there were many such projects this year! For example, EOZ. So you should carefully choose projects for investment.

Almost 90% of the ICOs I have seen scammed this year and this is very bad for the reputation of ICO. If we need ICO in the future there should be some regulation to remove this scam from ICO if some action not is taken against this scam now we will see ICO thing to be finished.

I agree with you. I lost quite a large amount of money investing in ICOs during the first quarter of this year. Scammers are taking advantage of the buzz generated by the ICOs in 2017 and they are fleecing money from the unsuspecting investor.

This year's ICO project is really bad, because whether it is a good ICO project or a bad ICO project, you will lose money, so why participate in the crowdfunding of the ICO project?

For my experience in joining campaign project, is bad because there are so many convincing ICO project and are saying that their coins is profitable, but in the end,you will feel regrets, because your investment is bunkraft, but we should not  blame all to the project campaign, because the big contribution also of this loosing,is the price value of the crypto market, due to many banned happening now in the crypto world.

Well aint all people always have their BTC or ETH to pump a new token x3 on ICOs launches, new projects are giving rhemselves value and with the still growing marketcap, thwy couldnt get any place and investor would rather go off with blockchain projects which is much more stable and expanadable, its better to buy the right coind rather than investing new projects these says, the bonus are plain marketing and doesnt earn you much compared to preinvestor

I have not participated in many ICOs but when I see the news ICOs getting scam I am now participating in only selected only because most of them are getting scam now so best to do is take expert advise also on ICOs before joining because they have good knowledge and you can read the whitepaper also.

probably in terms of exchange rates, some very low ico. probably because of the large number of ico, and the heavy competition.

I enjoyed the February ICO projects. As it seemed to me, it was the time of the hottest projects all the time. Approach should be selective, but it's not so bad with the current companies, there are quite interesting proposals.

The same info about currencies. Because market cap of all curenncies go down at few times. And most of them still a live because people still hold it and wait when price rise up.
So what we have to do?
Close all and go the stock market? I think this situation will change when ICO will be legitimized and this is will be very soon.
