I think this old article could help to estimate how big.

Bitcoin Gamblers Have Wagered $4.5 Billion in BTC Since 2014

BTC3 wagered per minute, imagine that. I'm sure that trend increases.
That's really big value when calculated in terms of USD. Regularly we get to see more and more number of casinos and sports betting websites with cryptocurrency acceptance. The gambling market too contributes big to the economy directly and indirectly. As siad in the quote this trend will surely increase over the years.

It keeps growing I read in the article about one Bitcoin casino site with the word Bitcoin and Casino bitcoin.casino to be exact sold by a whooping $26,000 and it's not even a top-level domain, the word Bitcoin in any domain is very expensive, this what makes Bitcoin the most desired niche in the internet and gambling is one of its forefront.

We could never know the exact details on how big the crypto gambling industry is right now we have so many gambling sites and it would be hard to track all of it since some of them are not regulated.
There is no exact number but sure it's a big industry and it just keeps on growing day by day. The pandemic has even gave it an advantage and purpose for those who are looking to gamble while being bored through quarantine protocols.

But I am sure that there are so many people who lose too much on it and there are some who live their dream lives because of it.
The gambling industry is so successful and the living proof is the old gambling sites that are still running up to this day and still making a huge profit because of it.
The mindset of those who will become rich through gambling is normal, I even I thought of it before when I was totally putting my life into gambling for few weeks during my earlier days.

I am expecting the online gambling to grow too because of what is happening in the world, shops are closed due to the pandemic and so are the casinos, now if people want to gamble they probably be searching the alternative for it and so they'll find the online gambling which is more convenient than physical ones. Online gambling is a multi-million industry, just look how much a single online casino costs and wagered every day, house always win! The only issue with online gambling is the fairness of the game, well for some casino it is tested and proven, how about the new ones?
Even if the economies of the world are slowly opening their operations casinos are one of the last places to open and this is going to be good news for online gambling and for the cryptocurrency gambling industry as well, however at the same time I would like for bitcoin to have more use as a currency and not be used mainly for speculation as it is happening now, however if gambling can help spread and popularize bitcoin then this is a necessary step on the development of bitcoin we will need to go through.
Last place to open? You are wrong in that one because if you do try to check things up then majority of businesses do already open its doors from different industries including gambling places.

This is why i do disagree into your comment about being on last place yet this rather been prioritize by most government yet these business generates up tax which is more than or do compare to other
businesses that exist.

When in comes in talks on how this industry then no one can give out exact or precise number but its sure that it is really big if we do only just base up on the demand.

Exec Embezzles $22M From ‘Influencer’ Marketing Firm, Spends Nearly Half on Crypto Gambling

I know this is an old article but I'm just surprised that crypto casinos is this big already.

The article says one person has lose maybe at least $10 million in a casino from a poker game, I mean, how big we are already? I'm just amazed.

Can we just discuss the market size not the gambling addiction or anything related to that?

1. When the Venezuelan president said that their casino will literally run on Petro Crypto he did showed that the Crypto casinos are here to stay .

https://calvinayre.com/2020/01/20/bitcoin/venezuela-okays-casino-petro-cryptocurrency/amp/

They are more Transparent , more secure at the same time honestly easy to track all the transactions for the government (I have no idea why governmental bodies are scared of this fact )

2. Cryptocurrencies have long been used by people who like a little desecration especially in Gambling and other games. I have seen articles mentioning how people think Bitcoins is just for gambling.

3. We cannot really get an exact number but I think Crypto casinos are more popular online as compared to normal one's where you use cash.

4. Right now in the quarantine the people who can afford to pay the casinos are all focused towards the crypto casinos since going in person might mean you will have the Corona Virus possibly.

5. It's more safe ! It's more secure ! It's more private ! I actually have never used a casino which accepted cash , only the ones running on Bitcoins. We also have a wide variety of section to choose from.

aside from the convenience of online gambling. several of the reputable casino sites here are not requiring KYC so i guess that's one major factor also. because most gamblers want anonymity about their gambling habits, and so not submitting their kyc docs is a big plus for them
It is a plus but there are money launderers too whom are the reason why they have to do a KYC and also cheaters who attempt to use more than one device per IP and use it to self refer users. Some casinos have strict rules regarding such abuse.

well of course when more and more people stay silent at home then more people will try to do activities at home and try to find information to get money so that they will search like a casino and other gambling venues to be the right choice to multiply money with easy.
Lets not forget that many people are at home but they are also losing their jobs gradually and their pockets are no longer so deep that they can indulge in gambling. So with that the long term effect is supposed to be a decrease in money input from the players. Of course many are working from home but not everyone is so lucky. Students specially have suffered not being able to complete their work and their terms getting delayed.

Just goes to show us how big and how deep the rabbit hole gets. There are tons of crypto casinos with 'high rollers' losing hundreds of BTCs in an instant, and it's not just one casinos but most of the trusted ones. The gambling industry crept its way through the cryptocurrency industry and made a bang when proper connections were in place. Of course, what do you expect from a gambling platform that isn't as strict as the traditional online ones? Sure enough it will attract a lot of patrons and regulars, including the big fishes in the sea. Add to the lenient rules the generous bonuses that these crypto casinos provide which adds value to the money of the gamblers. All in all, the crypto gambling market had all the right ingredients in the mix, and it will keep on growing as long as gamblers see more value for their money in these casinos than the traditional ones offer.

As long as online gambling will bring convenient, It will really grow in the future. Whales and ordinary gambler really see this as an advantage that's why it will continue to attract patrons. So I don't think that adding value to their money will be the main reason. It is the convenient that online gambling can bring minus the noisy and crowded traditional based casinos.

And I think this is one of the main factors that will push online gambling to old and new players. And for the record, land based casino is not that strict, you can just go enter depending on the age restrictions.

not only because it's convenient Online gambling is really helpful Especially since we are in this situation and can not just socialize outside to gamble and play with other people. Online gambling help in a way that you can still do what you like to do without the need of face to face contact to other players. You can still enjoy and play it at home with other players.

It's just magnify because of the current situation we are in. You are a gambler, but you can't go out and socialise and go to your favourite land base casino. So you go online learn how to get crypto, deposit and play and that's it. So win-win situation. Just short of saying that maybe in the next 5 years we will see online gambling getting into mainstream.

I heard that there are some casinos opened up now despite of the pandemic, though for people that wants to really secure their health, online gambling is the way to do it. What I just don't like in online gambling is that it doesn't give you the same feeling when you are in a physical casino, but there's a guarantee that in terms of winning, you can get the same amount since your wins sometimes depends on how much you've bet. On the other hand, there are games that has a jackpot prize, such as roulette in which you can still test your luck to the fullest.

Indeed, especially for those country where gambling is illegal, I think they can bypass that by using a VPN to change or hide their original IP address but the moment the site will require a KYC, then that would be a huge problem as you can't change your ID, if you fake it then probably you'll face trouble once you are caught. If this anonymous gambling will continue to exist, then no doubt crypto casinos will also continue to grow, and not only that, it would affect the whole crypto market as these gamblers would also notice the market as a good potential for investment, at least for some legit coins/tokens and projects only.

When talking about the velocity of money in crypto casinos I have not found a valid site that has its data. Which must be very big,
if just one person can lose up to $ 10 million, imagine if there are hundreds of people who lose the same amount or even more.
So logically we can estimate the market size of crypto casinos is very big. Shocked
No data might be completely list or shows how big the crypto casino gains, since their is no officials or authority in charge to monitor all the casinos especially that some casinos were not allowed in other countries yet people find ways to play, unless all casinos will provide liscensed and register their websites and transactions for taxes it can be determined. The reality now tha crypto or bitcoin casinos are getting more and more transactions with steady growth rate since many new casinos started to operate.

Actually, the answer to this question will change according to the evaluation. For example, if we need to evaluate for a newly formed market, we can easily state that the said amount is quite good and high, but unfortunately, this amount will not be very good and high if it is evaluated according to the global gambling system. For this reason, when evaluating, it is necessary to know what the interpretation is made according to and the thoughts must be stated depending on those factors. In summary, the amount mentioned is very low for the gambling industry in general, but it is quite satisfactory for online gambling websites and emerging crypto money gambling markets.

Those people will prefer to use their crypto than to use fiat/dollar because they know online crypto gambling, which can make them feel comfortable playing gambling. But when it comes to offline casinos such as playing on the Las Vegas, they will use fiat because they can not use crypto. But both offline and online player gambling games will have a big loss, although we don't know the right number.

Naturally, casinos in Las Vegas will not accept cryptocurrencies for a long time. Because this is not directly permitted by law. And they do not need to lobby for such a law because they have no shortage of clients.
Sooner or later, the casino in Las Vegas will slowly try to accept cryptocurrency, especially if the crypto becomes popular in that city, and many people are asking about using cryptocurrency as the bet.

I think that this will only be possible if cryptocurrencies are widely used in the world at the level of fiat currencies.

Absolutely correct because People that wanted to gamble will surely Use any currency in their wallets .

as we know that gamblers most likely to play at any cause just to satisfy their needs to bet in each time.
So yes i think it doesn't have to be crypto or fiat but what is available that certain time.

It is easier and safer to play at an online casino using cryptocurrencies. You do not need to link your plastic card, which means that you do not risk that money will be stolen from it, and your personal identity can also be established using the card. You can remain anonymous at the crypto online casino.
